Garrys Mod Mod folder help

I dont have a particles folder in my garrysmod folder and one of the mods i am trying to download requires this folder. I am using Gmod 10 btw

when i get to the steam folder, all that happens is that i get showed the shortcuts to garry's mod and counterstrike, but nothing else, whats going on?

Thanks this helped me alot :) quick not there were two file for me, one was "Program Files" and one was "Program Files (x86)" and i had to go on the second one.

i hae windows vista and although i can find my steam folder all it contains is shortcuts to my steam games. is there something else i should be doing?

have you played a game yet?

that makes it work most of the time.

log in to steam and start up any game, play it. then follow the video.

are you talking about when you start Garrys mod and try to use whatever it is that you downloaded? in the upper right hand corner of the screen it seas that?

dude, i dont have a garys mod folder... why not? i have acc on steam,i have steam but i still dun have garys mod, WHY NOT?

well do you have two hard drives? if so make sure you are looking in the right one

if that does not work then UNinstall Garrys mod then RE install it. it always works

@epicassassinz If you have reinstalled the game play it one time then quit and check if you have the folder.

If not you might have to uninstall steam and reinstall it for it to work

no you do not. you can have other games like team fortress 2 and things like that

but with half life 2 you get more options and props
