Can you imagine an Actraiser 3 !?! Playing in 3rd person with spectacular graphics and battles. This game is really great (and hard). To bad they didn't go for a 3D version of it, it would have been a great seller.

Im sure it would be a terrible game. Actraiser 2 is my favorite game ever. those PS 3rd person games all look the same and theres no refined skills involved. I would like to see Actraiser 3 with the same plataform perspetive, but with nowdays grpaphics and sounds and more flying possibilitys.

This is such a great game. I beat it for the first time, last night. I wish it were longer, but I always do even when a game is quite long enough. The action isn't spectacular, but this is one of those games that really gets you with the atmosphere. It has some good music, and superb artwork. Its a classic for sure.

Maybe a sequel to actraiser on wii would be cool. I'd prefer they make it feel more like the first game because of the sim-like events, but the sceneries of the second one (darker perhaps)

According to the Japanese Wikipedia, they're Rusty Worm (could be Lusty Worm also), Jurassic Flare (Envy is the Tortoise Island boss), Gluttony, Furyan (at least that's the best I could translate), Doom (Greed is the Modero boss, the giant multi-eyed thing), Deceptor, and Destructor

For whatever reason, the US version was harder than any other released version. I checked out ROMs of all the others and the USA version has way harder settings. Easiest on the US is harder than that hardest on the other versions.

I hated this game. I couldnt even beat the first level, and I could smoke the first Actraiser. That tells you how hard this game is.

Nice graghics but Alien Soldier blows this Game away. Challanging and annoying don't always have to go together. As far as a SNES better game...I will always choose the Classics Castlevania 4 and Contra 3 (Even though I never beat Contra 3 on Hard, I still enjoy it.)

I always get my butt handed to me by the sand creature in probotector/contra. Oh well..If you like Treasure games (The developer of Gunstar heroes) there is a New DS title by Treasure called BANGAI-O SPIRITS, I have video of it in gameplay.

@stringanime Alien Soldier sucks balls. The screen is too hectic and crowded, even from the start of level one. Totally overrated game, and this is coming from a Genesis fanboy. I prefer Actraiser II

@ioport Genesis Fanboys wouldn't appreciate this game, it didn't come out for Genesis, only Mega Drive. Perhaps SEGA/Treasure knew Genesis Fanboys wouldn't appreciate it and that is why it never came to the states in Cartridge form. If you truly represent most Genesis Fanboys, they were wise to not release it. The greatest game for SEGA 16 Bit would have been spat upon like a 16 bit Jesus in the States.

@ioport Dude, I live in Illinois. I started importing because in 1992 I played Gunstar Heroes for US, which was made by TREASURE, makers of Alien Soldier. I wanted more of that kind of gameplay. An imort Game shop in my hood allowed me to pre-order every Jap Treasure Title for SEGA 16 bit, Saturn, DC, N64 etc. I like Genesis game in US, but after playing Gunstar, Most Sega 3rd party titles just seemed Lacking IE Comix Zone, Kid Chameleon, Vectorman. Actraiser has nice sprites terrible animation.
