I hope to post some footage of the new baby lamb and the other animals some time. For a blog and photos of activity at the farm, you can check out my daughter's website for Fox Grape Farm at the Fox Grape Farm on blogspot. Google fox grape farm to find the site.
The broad breasted bronze breed is a wonderful turkey, as they at absolutely gorgeous, and much more self-sufficient than turkeys of the unfortunate white breeds usually used for commercial turkey production.
I'm very sorry to say that Sulieman died this winter. He was getting quite old. He had a good life on the farm, and many other birds including turkeys to socialize with. We miss him a lot. Thank you for your love and appreciation of Sulieman. He must have been one of the most admired turkeys anywhere!
Hows Sulieman going?I hope he has a nice new wife and some younglings. We look at him everyday and still have his gobble as a ring tone. Please put any more videos of him and his family on we can admire him even more.
Thank you all for your love of Sulieman. We love him too! He is still handsome and happy and well on Fox Grape Farm with the cows, ducks, chickens, goats, sheep, pigs, etc. who live there, too. One of the banty roosters was inordinately cruel, and would jump onto Sulieman's back and peck him. That rooster will soon be made into soup. My daughter will be getting turkey chicks of the broad breasted bronze breed this spring, so he is due to get a girlfriend this year. Happy New Year!
i recorded this gobble on my mobile phone and set it to ring as an alarm.Old Sulieman wakes me up in the morning.Hope he survived thanksgiving and Christmas without ending up eaten!
I think that turkeys are the most magnificent of all birds.I laughed so much when I heard him gobble.what a beautiful bird and so royal. All I want in life is to have a pet turk like Sulieman.Id take him up the street and he could give court to all who came to worship him.You are very lucky to have him.
