My advice to all future wives of Marines. Don't live in base housing. Remember when he's gone he probably is enduring hardship and the thought of you may be the only thing that gets him through it. For god sakes don't hurt him when he's gone.

My husband is a Marine and during our first year of dating he was gone for 6 months. I only cried when i met him at the recruiting station and when his mom and i were watching them pile in the van. i hugged his mom like crazy. his family is like my own family. i love them so much. everyone at the recruiting station kept telling me that the first 2 weeks are the hardest, and then it only gets easier. i hope they are right.

The great thing is you all love us so much but beleive me we love you just as much and it's hard for us but we know we need to make it to see you one more time to hold you again in our arms our girlfriends and wives are what get us through a deployment we work our hardest to be with them one more time. i've seen it to many times though where a marine dies and never gets to see his girlfriend or wife again it is very hard. vwey sweet video! im a marine wife! its soo hard when ur fiance/husband/boyfriend is away from u for "x" amount of time..we spent a year and a half apart and it was soo hard to see him walk away on weekends and us not knowing when we would see each other again..luckly we was only 5 hrs apart..I feel for the ones of u who go for a year at a time without seeing ur hero..Not seeing mine for 2 weeks at a time was bad enough!
