Those are my only favorite spiders because not only are they cute, but they really don't even bite. I've held them at my grandma's house and they're so fun!!!
That does not look like a zebra spider to me. A zebra spider has 2 pyramid like pics on its back as well as white stripes and not to mention 2 big eyeballs. @_@' lol
@MrKaratedude24 your default position on spiders should be to assume they're not poisonous, unless you know there are dangerous ones in your area. You can literally count the number of dangerous spider species on your fingers.
@MrKaratedude24 Just don't grab it and you'll be OK. Let it walk up on your hand volantarily. Some are skittish, so you might have to coax it to walk up on your hand if you want to hold one.
People should use a bit of caution with Zebra Spiders.
Their venom, though not anywhere near as bad as the Black Widow's, is still pretty bad.
My mother got bit by one, and it raised a bump or welt that was the width of a dime, and over the next week an oozing pit about 3 mm wide and deep developed.
I'm keeping one as a pet and I'm having a really hard time feeding it because it's so small and wiki says ants are unappetizing for it so it wont eat them. I think it might starve. Last time I fed it was 2 days ago...
@SharkRetriver The zebra spider that lives on my balcony eats mainly little flying insects and other spiders, judging from the carcasses it leaves stuck to the walls.
I recently found it finishing off a smaller spider.
Me and my friend found a little zebraspider today, and we fell in love. It's so cute and quite charming actually. We watched it for one hour without losing interest.

Hmm, this looks hairier than the UK version I've got on video. Your shots are much closer, but even so... I wonder if this is truly the same species? (Or perhaps we have a different subspecies?)
The little thing he was doing with his front legs or whatever they were was pretty cute and funny! :)

It took three more weeks to heal.

what camera do you use? and that spider looks different from a zebra spider I found as it actually has stripes on its abdomen (I live in Toronto)

Great we have those in Canada too...not as hairy and I think smaller. But they jump like crazy in and out of danger.

I agree. I did some more research. This must be one of the over 5,000 subspecies. I've noted this in the title and description now.
Thank you for your help.
