  • The "Real" Opening... My ass.

  • yamcha is my second favorite guy in dbz because of his mastering the art of the smart ass

  • 4Kids ruined this forever.

  • I really wish that the graphics for Kai's opening were that way throughout the whole show. I didnt mind Kai at all, but was a lil disappointed when I saw the opening credits then saw the show itself, big difference still.

  • Even though I'm a massive fan of Dragonball Z, particulary the Funimation version with Falconeer's music, Kai's alright. It's toned down a bit and of course this song is CHEESEY AS HELL, but it's still enjoyable lol

  • An endless story that should be cherished by those who truly enjoyed it. Never fall back, never give up, stand strong and believe in yourself at all moments. Just as this series teaches us, we are never alone in this world.

  • OK DID ANYONE ELSE GET GOOSEBUMPS ALL OVER THEIR BODY WHEN THEY WATCHED THIS........I DID!!!!!!!!

  • real my ass

  • fake i can here the auto tune i'm 9 i seen every episode every of dragon ball z and dragon ball z kai and dragon ball gt its fake

  • @logank2002 this is not fake

  • @logank2002 You DO know that it's Sean Schemmel singing, right? He voiced Goku... I'm fairly certain he's not going to make a fake opening song.

  • @SilverFlames

Goku: Hey my english voice-actor sounds great. Chalk that up as one more to my list

Vegeta: Ah screw you Kakarot, that another thing you have to make me feel less than important.

Broly: KAKAROT........my voice actor sing the theme better than yours

Vegeta: Go f*** yourself too Broly!!!!!!

  • @logank2002 Sean Schemmel had his voice auto-tuned a lot as he couldn't actually hit the notes needed. He can sing, just not well enough for this song, Vic Mignogna's version is better,

  • 0:00- 0:01 Yes it is the Real Opening :p

  • no its japanese the real!

  • auto tunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

  • oh mother fucker thought it would be the regular japanese version >.>

  • *sigh* i wish i had nicktoons....

  • I download the Seasons off uTorrent. Luckily for me the voices are English, but it has this opening. I really enjoy this enjoy this opening rather than the other, it's SO catchy. Also, the version I got was uncensored, so they say things like bastard, dammit, etc.

  • "Rock the Dragon" forever!

  • this sounds like it has been auto tuned

  • The real theme is the japanese one.

  • I't very fantastic grafics !! and is a very very good !

  • cool

  • Why does the Opening graphics look so well and the anime looks the same shit as the original D:?

  • @japoneses11 You make the original sound as though it sucks.... -___-

  • @SONICBOYREBORN234 The original don't suck. I just think Kai should be like the opening :|

  • k first of all for any little kid out there that dosent know DB DBZ N DBGT r all alredy out and finished, kai is a remake of DBZ n is horrible in comparission please watch the originals

  • @lilmme96 You want them to watch filler and bad jokes?

  • @lilmme96 Go back to raging on Xbox LIVE, kid.

  • @lilmme96 Kai is NOT a remake dumbasss, its the summary, theres SOOO much shit thats unneeded in DBZ that is removed in Kai happily, second, your retarded for even including DBGT in that sentence, it is NOT MADE by the creators of DB or DBZ, its a fanmade, COMPLETELY irrelevent and not even accurate on characters strengths.

  • @EminemForever1234567 Actually GT is canon. As for kai being a remake, hey its your opinion

  • @sonicsaiyan07 GT is not canon

  • @yamisupersaiyan It was made by Akira and the fans, so whether it's cannon or not is up for debate.

  • Personaly, the spanish one is better. Well, this is good too, but spanish is better

  • Oh god the autotune.

  • and yes even tho im a girl i love dbzk and dbz also just so you know there making a new serios of dbz called dbzgt or dbgt on Junary 16 2012 1-16-2012

  • @meganfiremoo Hey girl (lol), so, what's coming this January is not a new series, it's Dragon Ball GT.

I wonder if they'll air the remastered dub with the original Japanese music or the rap music, I think they don't want to fuck up their fanbase, so they better go with the original Japanese music.

  • @DBKaiFANSonGokuRises How would rap music fuck up there fanbase? Most of the people who saw GT are STILL watching it 8 years later.

  • @SageofWater1 It's nothing like the original/real opening and it's a giant insult to Dan Dan Kokoro / Bit by Bit.

The original music makes it totally worth watching GT.

  • @DBKaiFANSonGokuRises So you're judging an anime on your taste in music? Biased much?

  • @SageofWater1 I watched all DB series, you turd.

The GT rap crap is an insult to the series, but your ant brain can't understand it.

  • @DBKaiFANSonGokuRises "The original music makes it totally worth watching GT."

Anyway you can't assume that everyone doesnt like the rap opening there are some people who like it. Its not an insult to the series at all. DragonBall Evolution is.

  • @meganfiremoo dbgt already exists

  • @meganfiremoo lmao i cant even-

  • sorry but i dont like it

  • watch krillins face in the end hahah xD

  • The images don't really match the song, but somehow I think this song captures the character of the show a lot better. In my opinion definetly an improvment. No point pretending this is all serious like in the older intros, that's just corny. DBZ's just a fun kids show, the song captures the joy and fun of watching the show. I guess also it's meant to sound like the Japanese OP.

  • @EmphaticItalic Ok I can agree that it's not serious, but aimed at children specifically? I don't think so, there's plenty of sexual stuff, blood, references, cursing, and heavy violence.

  • @Sovember Yes you're right, I remember the "uncut" versions now. I haven't seen the show since I was 12. I've only ever seen the watered down version.

  • @EmphaticItalic yeah im glad kai used the japaneese music. as much as i love rock the dragon, it gets old the 98th time around

  • Yamcha <3 ^-^

  • Pretty good

  • i used to like brazilian (portuguese) version better

but i'm really addicted to the english one,and that's soooooo much better

  • lol shoulda uploaded in 720 hd fagg0t

  • Lol japenese or AMERICAN both sound like DO KAN DO KAN lol That was the GT oringal opening.

  • @2583060 I'ts quite normal since both songs are performed by the same group, I think

  • @calendrier22 this one is sung by sean schemmel :), kyle hebert, sonny strait, vic mignogna, and another one did the same thing for the different seasons :)

  • piccolo disliked this 6 times because goku called him kamiccolo

  • I think the NickToon-Version is better. :D but it's only my opinion (:

  • @HBLinkRF true but this is the original.

  • English :P

  • I like it, but i still prefer the orginal dbz english opening

  • 5 dislikes i know it would be the ginyu force

  • yeah right

  • @chickenpopie it is realy the real opening dude......

  • I know it cuts out the filler parts of the original but its still not as good i mean there some scenes that are complete speeded up and it just look weird when you remember the original

  • man why didnt they use this as the intro on the series that is airing on nick. I would mention it being aired on toonzai. but they suck dick because they edit all the little things and should not have the right to show it. DBZ for the win.

  • @TheDerek14

Dude thats EDITED KAI. Uncut Kai is so much better

  • this is shit compared to the original DBZ

  • @sake195

Nah its the other way around. Kai gets straight to the good stuff. No more of that annoying drag and over done power ups. The DUB is a thousand times better too. VAs sound experienced and the dialogue is accurate. Plus some scenes look so much nicer

  • @yamisupersaiyan it may look nicer and stuff like that because of the technology or whatever they have now but if you watched the original series and was a true fan of the series it just doesnt feel right with out all the power ups and the new voice acting and everything and thats what i was amazed by as a kid staying up to watch the original series haha but yea.... i guess i just cant get into it now that alot of the show has changed.

  • @sake195

That doesn't mean Kai is shit bro. Nostalgia and quality are two different things

  • @yamisupersaiyan This shitty opening is proof enough Z beats Kai.

  • @GigoloJustaGigolo

What makes this opening shitty? For one thing it has UNIQUE lyrics (not just rock the dragon etc.), Awesome animation, and meaning. If you mean Falconer, nice song but it was too techno for DBZ

  • Comment removed

  • @GigoloJustaGigolo

Weaboos? So you're insulting a show/comic that originated in Japan for being Japanese?

  • @yamisupersaiyan There is a difference between "From Japan" and "Weeaboo."

  • @GigoloJustaGigolo

    And that is?

  • @yamisupersaiyan Look at Rock the Dragan, and look at this abortion.

    Easy enough.

  • @GigoloJustaGigolo

lol the lyrics for rock the dragon: rock the dragon dragon ball z. I'm sorry which one is the abortion? Like what the hell is rock the dragon supposed to mean anyway?

  • @yamisupersaiyan The lyrics don't matter. The song gets you pumped for 20 minutes of dudes screaming at each other and fighting.

The new opening is just, like I said, a generic j-pop song. It doesn't get me pumped, it bores me. You could put it before Barbie Dreamland, and it would fit better.

Another thing, they got rid of Kyle Hebert as the announcer, that's enough to give it a 0/10.

  • @GigoloJustaGigolo

Thats the thing. Anyone who actually knows about DBZ would know its not about a show where dudes scream at each other and fight. lol Ironically, its about the meaning behind it which a lot of current series lack. Rock the Dragon is generic rock trash so whats your point? Well its GETS ME PUMPED. Just cause you need viagra to pump yourself up, doesn't mean its the fault of the opening. You're just a kid hopped up on nostalgia pills. I liked Hebert but this guy is great too

  • @yamisupersaiyan Why is it every time something gets raped for the sake of more money, people defend it by crying "Nostalgia?"

  • @GigoloJustaGigolo

No I actually love nostalgia. Its when people are so blinded by nostalgia that they can't see the good in improvements needed that I get pissed. EVERYTHING is raped for the sake of money if can be. Kai is no exception but it actually DID improve a lot of DBZ flaws. When somethings raped for more money and legit sucks, than fine you got a point but Kai was actually better. Listen i'm getting tired of going back and forth. You're obviously to ignorant to realize anything

  • @yamisupersaiyan Blinded by nostalgia would suggest I haven't seen DBZ (lately) or Kai.

  • @GigoloJustaGigolo

No blinded by nostalgia entails you have fond memories of something from long ago and when a new version comes out, no matter how different or same (good or bad), you won't like it.

  • @yamisupersaiyan That's funny, because I've only seen bits and pieces of DBZ up until 3 years ago.

  • This plus the Toonami edit episodes = perfection

  • Nothing, I mean nothing, beats the original Dragon Ball Z, Kai is cool in it's own right but I like the original Dragon Ball Z more myself.Yes I know they are really close to being the same, Kai has changed some of the voice actors and has some extra scenes.Aside from that I know there are really no differences, I just prefer the old voice actors to some of the new ones, and seeing it all for the first time was awesome.

  • This isn't the real song

  • @miclegendx666

That's because this isn't the NickToons version. It's (like the title says) the real song. I won't say this particular opening has been in Toonami, but yeah.

Personally I like this version better.

  • Why????

whats with this horrible music, it kills DBZ for me. The japanese are always doing this, they have something totally awesome, a totally killer concept then they seem to try inject as much gay poppy shit into it as they can.

Kai definately has its merits, I dont miss the filler, the dialogue is a lot better, the animation is clearer. But the music is weak, I believe the american music is better in every way.

What is it with anime fans and cheesy 80's music? I dont know...

  • @mehico33

gay poppy shit? your an idiot. The american music is nice but way too freaking retro. The music is excellent bro. Look up next episode preview and the braveheart stands against the strong. Beast tracks. Whats up with american dbz fans and that over the top retro beat music? i dont know...

  • @yamisupersaiyan "gay poppy shit?" you ask, try listening to the video moron. Ive heard the Kai OST, otherwise I would have reserved judgement, I have no problem with the tracks themselves, just the way theyre used in the show. Nowhere near as intense as the american, sure individually they may be better but as a whole the show loses a lot of punch.

I know im overopinionated ill take that on the chin, ill try not to be so abrasive in the future. I guess its good for those who dont like to rock.

  • @yamisupersaiyan also youll have to explain to me your definition of "retro" because because Faulconers music was sounds more techno/industrial/rock (maybe a bit 90's) as opposed to Kais music which sounds like a disney martial arts film, the braveheart track sounds like it could be from some 60's cowboy movie.

And I take back what I said about Kai tracks sounding better, Faulconers music is epic.

But each to his own i guess. If you guys enjoy Ki then thats great for you. Just not for me

  • @mehico33

To each his own. Just don't troll about it. Respect each work except for 4kids

  • @yamisupersaiyan Isnt "troll" a handy word, probably the most effortless way possible to dismiss anyone who posts an opinion we dont agree with.

I know I come across as quite abrasive, im working on it. Thats just how I talk, I say "shit" I mean "stuff", I say "gay" I just mean "soft" or "weak" (or "pansy", something to that effect).

A "troll" is someone who posts comments with the intention of starting a fight or pissing people off (incase you didnt know), I was just venting my frustration

  • @mehico33

Actually you responding to my last comment proves your a troll. By posting that comment on a DBZ fan video, you started a fight -.-. Honestly me writing this is just fueling the fire but just saying. Opinions are Opinions

  • @yamisupersaiyan you total fuckin moron, i posted that comment as a fan disapointed by the toatally weak product theyve made from a show i held dear. you are a cretin clearly devoid of understanding, even after i explained to you what a troll is you still have no clue. Opinions are indeed opinions and if stupid is as stupid does/says then you my friend are stupid.

If anyones a troll here its you, I asked a few questions and you responded with 'your an idiot', got that one a bit backwards mate

  • @mehico33

Listen, first of all. Don't curse at me. 2nd, its not weak if the creator himself approves. He states japanese fits the feel of the show a lot more, so the american version of DBZ is technically fake. What you held dear was not the creators original intentions then -.-. You're still trolling. Dude, i don't agree with your definition of a troll. A troll is SIMPLY someone who posts a comment and knows it might start and argument. You are stupid. I say idiot, you say fucking moron -.-

  • @yamisupersaiyan As for the creators liking this music, they contract someone to make music for them, it costs them big money, they like what they hear, they keep it. Thats basicly the process. Its irrelevant that the creator kept it, that doesnt make it definative, that just makes it the music they got and the music they went with.

Plus the american version was still officiallly licensed and therefore not fake.

It wouldnt be the first time they bowed to the obsessive purists

  • @mehico33

Also, this is my own fucking video. Most people

love this. The troll is the one who complains

like a bitch, that would be you.

  • @yamisupersaiyan Not at all, there is a definition for the term, so your making up your own makes you stupid/a "fucking moron". "complains like a bitch" so complaining makes one a bitch? no, a bitch is one who takes shit and says nothing, or listens to pansy ass 80sesque poppy crap thinking its powerful lol.

Yknow this conversation stopped being productive a while ago so youre in it for the same reason i am, fool.

  • @yamisupersaiyan obsessive purists who already had the japanese version, but no they hated the americans work so much they had to complain and wreck our version. Its Funi's fault for caving really, but then i shouldnt speak to soon, who knows maybe a dvd set with the 'decent' soundtrack might come out some day (I wont bother with "IMO", you should know that by now).

  • @mehico33

um you. are. a. bitch. and. a. troll. period? Do your research. The original Falconer music costed less to make. They only used Falconer because it was cheaper. That version is still there so why are you trolling. If you hate this fine go watch that, and stop complaining. Go ahead and say what you want but this is the end to this pointless argument.

  • Blue popo thts all I can say

  • @dragonwar1000

Fucking 4kids is all i can say. THE DVD IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT RETARD

  • @dragonwar1000 I never seen popo in blue.

  • Its too bad DBZ Kai was so much of a disapointment.

  • @Xx0Mystic0xX

and how is it a disappointment? DBK is a gift. We all thought dragon ball dead. The fact that this and that new 2008 special came proves its not and hey, maybe we'll see a new series. I love DBK, it was a brilliant idea and an excellent way for funi to redeem themselves. The new voices and score are simply amazing aspects of this remake, not to mention the new animtion

  • @yamisupersaiyan Well first of all, they took away the entire essence of

DBZ by substituting the violence for black smudges. For example, When Piccolo

shot Raditz and Goku with the special beam cannon there was supposed to be

a gaping hole followed by blood and a horrifed reaction from the two. They made it seem like he stubbed his toe. Sersly, its on nickolodeon now which makes it seem like its a kids show which it is clearly not. It has swearing and excessive violence.

  • @Xx0Mystic0xX

What is your point? Buy the dvd if you want the real version. DBZ is not meant for adult swim, i do wish it was on CN but thats not gonna happen. If you havn't learned to just buy anime by now, you're retarded. Watch dbz kai in all its awesome glory on dvd. Now, the essence of dbz was NEVER fighting, it was hope. Standing up for whats right and being the best you can be, for good. Those edits are mildly mildly annoying. Japan's laws are more strict now. Who cares anyway.

  • @Xx0Mystic0xX

theres still blood, fighting, and all that good stuff. If you ask me, ppl like u are an insult to db fans everywhere

  • @Xx0Mystic0xX That's how it was when I saw it on Toonami too. They have to tone it down a little bit if they want to air it on a popular network. If you don't want the blood edited out, buy the DVDs. That's how dragonball has always been.

  • @yamisupersaiyan Some gift. More like a middle-finger

    to all DBZ fans.

  • @Xx0Mystic0xX How so? This is how dragonball has always been. They did the same thing on Toonami, and if it wasn't for Toonami you probably wouldn't have heard of dragonball. It's either this, or air it late at night on some network where it won't get exposure to new fans of the series. Just buy the DVDs when they come out, they'll have everything you want.

  • I prefer the Japanese version. Vic Mingona (or however you spell it), can't sing for shit.

  • @apoc326

First of all, he isn't even the one singing this dumbfuck. Its Sean Schemmel, the voice of Goku and he did outstanding, ESPECIALLY since this is like his first time singing. There is another by Vic (the tv one) and that one is spectacular as well. Also, these are amazing and tantamount to the japanese version. The japanese songs have the same goddamn singer every time. That one sucks shit. These 2 are incredible so don't spread your horrible taste all over my vid

  • I like this opening. I love how Goku does his Kamehameha, its so fucking cool. I want to see him kill Frieza.

  • The english version is better.

  • i saw this on tv yesterday and im dissapointed that this version wasnt on it was a different guy singing it on nicktoons america

  • They did the lyrics pretty good for the english version. I APPROVE.

  • omg i just learned that sean schemel( sorry i spelt it wrong) sings this song

  • my only problem with this is at the beginning when he says don't stop it sounds a little weird

  • i change my mind this one is awesome

  • thank god i have nicktoons

  • @jboy1708 Me too

  • fuck it's not the jap version... its still okay

  • japanese version is way better lol

  • I wish they would of used a instrumental version instead of this but atleast it's not as bad as the english opening they used for yuyu hakusho but i guess I'll have to deal with it since the japanese version of db kai has goku and his annoying woman's voice

  • @rendetsku

Honestly, this opening is spectacular. Better than all those old dbz intros. This is in no way bad, I am addicted to this. My respect of you had died for saying that. How is this bad in any way, shape, or form?? Japanese Dragon Ball will always have the best voices. Goku is voiced by a woman, yes, but she is in no way annoying and at least they don't sound like their taking a crap while screaming. Goku acts like a kid even as an adult so his voice is great . I commend both versions

  • @yamisupersaiyan This video changed my opinion about DBZ Kai. Are you getting Nicktoons soon?

  • @yamisupersaiyan all I'm saying is that I prefer the japanese version and the english lyrics make it seem kinda off to me as for goku's voice the reason it annoys me is cause they gave it to bardock and it doesn't fit him and everytime goku gets mad he sounds choked up or something other then that I have no problems with the japanese version in fact I like vegeta's voice in there more then the english one

  • @rendetsku dude i actually +_+ liked the yyh song?!

  • Any word on if it's gonna show up here in Canada? You know, because our igloos totally get cable :P

  • wait, where can you watch this on? Its not gonna be on cartoon network is it?

  • @Badboynic1010

Its going to premiere on "Nicktoons Network" May 24th and on CW4Kids sometime after the Summer. Sucks though as Nicktoons is a premium channel and its gonna take a while for the premiere on CW

  • @yamisupersaiyan u know whats funny? Nicktoons Network is contradicting themselves by putting dbzkai on nicktoons. lol. listen to their netowrk name. "Nictoons." DBZ isnt a nickeoloadon cartoon. lol

  • @FutureGohanSSJ2 Disney put naruto they put dbzkai

  • @closestsound yea, but i think thats kind of ironic. same with cartoon network and cn real. lol. btw, did u hear toonami's coming back to cartoon network?

  • @FutureGohanSSJ2 awesome I was pissed that they took toonami off since that was the shit when I little with dbz gundam yu yu hakusho and a bunch of other good shows

  • @rendetsku yea i know! a petition to bring toonami back was signed, but idk when they'll be bringing it back

  • BLAAA Japan is better am i right or no???
