While going through all my 'elder' music...I stumbled upon this amazing record! Progressive is not my daily electronic food...but this remix is a through masterpiece!
I like to see people getting the word out that good music like this is not dead! Keep it up, hopefully you may draw some people to trance who have yet to really come to understand the power of such great music.
its progressive house, not trance. Not that pigeon holing something is important at all, but i'd prefer not to besmurch a song like this with the genre that eventually brought us utter cheddar-laced crap like DJ Sammy and Cascada...
So someone finally noticed. I was not going to say a word. As to affend anyone.
I know that the mainstream music sites classify it as "progressive house". {which is a combination of House and TRANCE}
Nevertheless the way that Shiloh approaches progressive house just amazes me! I classify most of my Trance music collection by the synthesizers I hear in the music. The better the synth the more Trance it is to me. So I classify the music of Shiloh into Trance.
@fent11 True! Such an umbrella term, much prefer the proggier or uplifting end to the hard trance euro rubbish! I've loved trance from 94-end of 2007, lost track because of other things and now i just don't enjoy it anymore..still love all the old stuff up to then though, trance forever hehe x
like with everything in life; you may well experience 'the 7 year itch' in four years time and plummet back into a world of proggy, techy, aural bliss once again - allbeit with other things going on in your life. Who knows... 2014 could be the year of a rebirth for a global love for original house music! Hell, with a deep recession on the cards we'd prob all be better off necking some class a's from time to time :o
NO ITS NOT! I have the Vynil and it doesnt sound like that.... What song is playing before the mix of Shiloh comes on.... For the first minute of the video there are (2) records being mixed together.. (?) & (Shiloh- Dream ON) Does anyone know what song that is??
i love the space.

Still one of the best build ups you kids will ever get. The best crescendo and the best plateau. Celebrate the Aussie.

@carolineburns
its true though.
in the end, music is subjective, so neither of us is correct.
its just i feel "trance" to be something long dead.
then again, i fucking HATE generic labels.
