  • I heard this song two months before my dad came back from overseas. I remember crying when I heard it. To all the military families, I've been where you've been, and your going to make it through! All my love and support goes out to you!

  • Whenever someone dislikes this, i dont care if they are saying that they just dislike it because they dont like the singers, you are basically saying to all those families that lost a family member in ANY american war including the american revolution that there son died because america wanted to play a joke on someone else

  • Hmm, who started the war ?, America did :). The terrorist were in many different countries and America attacks and invades the whole Irak. Of cource it is best that USA:s soldiers get back to their homes this is not American peoples war. This is the war of the few that benefit from it.

  • If you dislike this: you're pretty much 'disliking' America.

God bless all the military troops in America!

  • My brother died today, grenade took him. I'm 14 and he was just 19. Poor bro... Angels have him now

  • @LucyRankin I'm so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family. Stay strong for your family.

  • omg i saw u guys preform live at camp patmos for military kids! u guys are great thx

    btw yay national guard

  • the singers in this video sang this too me and my friends personal

  • Both off my parents are in the military

  • this song is awesome!!! my dad is fixing to go on his third deployment :( i can totally relate to this song!! thank y'all so much for doing this! it means a lot

  • 7 people that dislike this video don't have a heart. If they only knew what it is like to miss someone close to you that is serving over seas. Praying and hoping they come home safe. Praying you wont get the call or them knocking at your door to tell you sorry they wont be coming home. My brother is serving our country, so is one of my bestfriends

  • how can you dislike this video, saw you guys in concert, amazing!!

  • Thank You........ And to the six that disliked, Remember WE pay the Price For Your Freedom. When All Hell Breaks Loose We Don't Run Away We run into hell Not for Us But You

  • hey gurls.... i had fun at operation purple!! hope to see u this year.. too..

everytime i listen to this i cry and cry because this is exactly how I feel when my dad is overseas, fighting for people who can't do the job that he does everyday...

THE PRICE OF PEACE IS PAID BY THE FAMILIES!!!

take my word for it military brat since i was born.. 13 years ago.....

  • AMAZING SONG i havent been in the military long but i love these songs...i listen to these daily and i just have to say just reading the comments of the people supporting the military reminds me why i joined and is great so thank you very much to those who appreciate all our troops and the people that cant figure out how to show respect do yourselves and everyone a favor and STFU you know nothing about the military and you need to realize like the way things r done or not we r doing it for you!

  • @MsFuzzycaterpillar omy god me 2 i couldnt belive they would go tat far. they have no idea how hard it is not to know whats going on. people can really be jerks. it really ticked me off too bcuz their dad was out there risking their lives for u and you r just not grateful u know wat i mean!

  • my father just deployed for his third deployment and i just survived cancer, I met these girls at camp(homefront challenge for children whose parents are in the guard) this week and they sung the song for us and i was like 'are they trying to make me cry? cause its working!' I love this song :.)

  • i wanna cry! this is a beautiful song! to all of those who sacrificed themselves i wanna say THANK YOU!!!

  • Dedicated to all all Marines or solders who live theyre life for our country since 10 november 1775 " UNCOMMON VALOR WAS A COMMON VIRTUE" yea I know that's a marine tribuite i writed but all army is a big family.

    God bless our TROOPS

  • This is a great song i heard it and saw the video at my brothers brigade deployment ceremony.

  • i understand her im a military daughter too its hard but we both and all of us need to saty strong if you need support look up wynter sawyer on facebook

  • What a grotesque and deceitful form of promotional war propaganda this is.

Remember, soldiers have certain rights once they get back home, so please stress these rights in order to get the pension, psychological treatment and medical treatment you are entitled to!

The responsibility for all these deaths, including all those of civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq as a cause of the war, is the Bush-administration's. They should be held accountable for all of this!

  • that song made me think of my uncle whos been overseas 5 times and seen action all 5 times. he watched me graduate HS in 08 and then he got deployed 6 wks later after i turned 19, and came back home and gone again for a year, then so and so forth. this song brought tears to my eyes, I SUPPORT THE TROOPS AT HOME AND OVERSEAS

  • this is a song that needed to be written

  • Thank you for this beautiful tribute to our troops and their families. Our Guard, Reserve, and Active Duty are HEROES! I loved this so much I shared it on my fb page: Military Wives Matter: Support for Today's Military Spouse- because I know what it's like to have Daddy deployed, too.

  • Alyssa, you are so wise beyond your years!! I've known NG soldiers who trained at Fort Benning just like my son who is Airborne/Infantry from Ft.Benning and now Ft.Bragg. "Weekend Warrior" is such an old term and just shouldn't be used anymore because they are spilling blood just like eveyone else. For all of you daughters and sons missing your parent, God bless you all!! I am a parent who will soon be missing her son for a year or more.

  • :( i want to thank all the soilders out there you have done so much for i country you have lost lives been wonded for our country we can not thank you enough thank you for being there for us for the big tributes fought our war for our freedome there is not enough words to explane how much we thank you its becuse of u

  • I met those girls!! they are amazing!

  • I don't understand how someone could bash military men and women. Your policemen and women, your firefighters, you ambulance core, they get a pay check. One of the only reasons someone joins something like that is because they want to protect the people they love and others whom might not have people who love them. If you are ignorant you will never see that these men and women give their lives for your sorry asses and all you can do is bash their career. Way to support your neighbors.

  • @dearpaigeily You are so right!!! I'd like to add something though, volunteer fire/ems get maybe $5 a call, nothing that hardly covers gas anymore but they do it in hopes of saving lives. My husband is a retired FF/EMT from a volunteer dept that gets tremendous respect from the rest of our state-Iowa. It is well deserved respect too. When he was active I would hate to say how many meals were missed or nights sleep interrupted, etc. God bless everyone who protects us! Our son deploys soon!

  • @dearpaigeily my father is going over seas tomorrow he is in the army and he is also in the police department i really really miss im this song made me cry

  • war is so fucking awesome lets sing about it that way people will think it's a glorious heroic movie montage.

  • Thank you families that let your loved one go out and be heros.

  • The price of "peace" is paid by the dead. Fuck this song and american wars of aggression. Maybe they should write another song for the people their daddy killed for a paycheck.

No Gods. No Masters. No States. No Wars.

  • @frostybob123 Agreed.

    @LordHannigan Grow some brain cells.

  • Why don't they write a song dedicated to the millions of INNOCENT people who died in a war they never wanted to be part of? Instead of people who VOLUNTARILY went to KILL.

  • @dhhs91 Shut up the people that Volunter keep you save you ass.

  • @dhhs91 You do realize that some people don't VOLUNTARILY go over to kill people? There is an Army draft, and every male over the age of 18 has to register for this. Learn your facts.

  • @cryxinfinity Where and who?

  • @cryxinfinity they have the choice to join. like you have the choice to speak freely. no need to be hostile either. men and women do voluntarily join because they see past a career they see the heart that goes into keeping you and your family safe. its not that hard to see.

  • @dearpaigeily I never said that they didn't have the choice. I said that SOME people don't voluntarily join-- because yes, there is the draft. Please don't lecture me on what I apparently can't see -- I'm part of the JROTC program at my school. I know what goes into being in any of the military -- the heart and the benefits that come with it and more.

  • @ boomsomentity News Flash...That's her husband she is living without! That's her husband she is supporting and believing in! That's her husband you are talking about and saying such careless, ignorant things about! Your politics have no place in her heart! Nor do your callous words! You should be ashamed! Your not educating anyone here dude, all you are doing is taking your views, and bent reality out on a woman who is missing her husband! It's time you take a stop being a dick pill!

  • @niven74 iv lost friends, colleagues and family members to these wars so i know what I'm talking about. Iv seen women crying over lost sons and husbands, but whether they want to hear it or not, what killed them was being sent to a fucking war with countries that posed no threat to us.if the people of these countries were such a problem why would our governments open our borders to them? shifting the focus away from the relevant issues isn't going to stop the rising death toll.

  • but instad they are using mass media whith thing like: Wee muss eliberate this people ,Wee must bring democracy ,Wee must put down the Tiran !!! Undestud this i have nothing whith the soldiers of coalition how fought for they countries ,but evry man there now the true about this fake war that they are been lieng in the face

  • HA HA HA HA HA HA FIRST THING, I AM FROM A COUNTRY THAT HAS SENT TROOPS IN AGFANISTAN AND IRAK ,SECOND NOBODY IS FIGHTING FOR NOBODY S RIGHT THERE ALL IS JUST A RUTINE OF PATROLS AND STAING ALIVE THAST ALL ,Aand the last ,i am a cristian and i do belive that you must fight for what is right but what is right in irak and agfanistan you invade a country of shepards and islamic radical people for oil and because your leaders send you there and they don t have the gut to tell you the truee

  • this song is absoulutly amazing and it brings tears to my eyes everytime i listin to it. i miss my dad but i know he will be home soon. just keep prayin and all will go well.

  • This song is beautiful. It perfectly describes what not only the soldier goes through but also what the family back home goes through. My dad was in the army and missing him was the worst. These girls are both amazing and inspiring

  • Reminds me of my daddy's deployments. It really is rough to have him leave and you're left with just memories. The first deployment, he gave me a teddy bear that he sprayed with his cologne...it helped a lot coping with a father gone for months, sometimes a year on end.

He's finally at home with us for good. Retired last year. :)

  • Dear cassie and alyssa, yesterday you preformed for my family and i. whenever i listin to this song i cry. and i am soo thankfull u did. i needed something that reminds me of dad and i have been searching for the right thing to express it and im telling you this takes the words right out of my mouth my mom and i were sitting in the croud. when we were let out i walked straight up to u and hugged u! i love this song and im soo thankful u did that! god bless u! ~Mackinzy~

    god bless the troops

  • @Hamilcar85 What country are you from? All countries have soldiers who are hailed as heroes when they return home!

  • @Hamilcar85 yeah you fuck up at life, they fight for your right to say that shit about em. fuckin dumbasss kill innnocent ppl? yeah. how innocent is, a person with an RPG shooting at you fucktard.

  • @Hamilcar85 we must have killed one of your family members huh?

  • My older brother is in the national guard. He comes home from ait in dec. This past weekend he had a 4 day pass andd let me tell you i cried the whole way to the airport. Thanks you to the men and women serving our country. My big brother is my hero.

  • @killhunterX, HEY, It's not easy over seas I was just there and came home this year but keep your head up learn that this is now your job its not a chose anymore. there will be good days and bad but remember what your fighting for and thats your life and the life of your loved ones. Come home safe, but also remember you may not bring everyone home but that is the sarifice you make and they made they are heros and so are you.

  • I am inlisted in the Army National Guard, B11. my ship date is 06/13/11. i am proud to stant up and fight along side your sons and daughters, fathers and mothers. brothers and sisters. They will Guard me as I will Guard them. Togther we will come home safe to you! i pray to god every night asking him to do this and to watch over all soldiers and bring them home safe!

  • this is so cool i like it harts mom is my teacher ;]

  • This video gives me chills everytime I watch it, and I watch it atleast once a day, if not more. My boyfriend of 4 years is in the Army National Guard. I love you Baby, stay safe!

  • Yoy have done a great job with this video. I think now is the best time to say thankyou to the solders who have but there lives on the line to make our country a safer and happier place to be in. We all know that it is not easy fighting over there but we all know that they do a great job over there. Also we need to thank the solders who have died while fighting to make our country a peaceful country. This vidoe shows the true hardness that the troops familys go through. To me you are all heros.

  • OMG I HEARD THIS SONG AND I'M ABOUT TO ENTER THE ARMY ONCE I GET EVERYTHING SQUARED AWAY AND MAN THIS SONG MADE ME CRY THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO IS ALREADY SERVING AND THANKS TO YOU WHO ARE THINKING ABOUT SERVING AND GOD BLESS THE TROOPS AND THE FAMILES THE TROOPS LEAVE BEHIND ONCE THEY ARE DEPLOYED

  • This is soo true.. Couldnt have been said any better :)

  • making me cry

  • At one point in my life both my parents were overseas. It was rough, but me and my sister pulled through. This song will always make me cry, always.

  • i remember watching my uncles casket taken out of the plane and i just broke down

  • @1123pinkfloyd If you haven't watched the 2008 movie "My Boy Jack," you should. It's a true story about Rudyard Kipling's family during World War 1. His 17 year old son chose to go to the war, where he was killed. I can't imagine being alive during that war - *most* soldiers were casualties, with a huge percent killed who were infantrymen.

  • @BenkaiDebussy k ill check it out ty

  • I want to be guarder but I can't :(

    awesome video !

  • thank u from the 278 acr from Tenn.

  • My best friend in the whole world Elizabeth's parents are in this video:] I love her soo much!!

  • This is a great video, the girls singing was superb and video was great! I think both of you girls did an excellent job, you should be very proud!!! I know your dad is, I have 2 girls, so I know that's what he's thinking about over there and his wife. I am very dismaid at Ryguy1450's comments, look scumbag, these people fought for your freedom, apparently you take that for granted, were you ever taught about WW2, apparently not.

  • i was in those shoes. i got messed up over there. i love seeing all the support that we get. LOVE YOU GIRLS. that is awsome.

  • You guys are so Amazing. NO JOKE! My dad is home from Iraq and in a year he is going to Afganistan( Sorry I don't know how to spell :P ).

  • Check out the new National Guard video dedicated to the spouses and families of deployed soldiers. Just type "The Home Lines" in the search box.

  • amazing song, and amazing video =) 5/5

  • 2 dislikes--You've got to be kidding??? Specifically to those 2, just remember our brave men and women of the Armed Services risk there lives everyday in foreign lands just so you have the right to "dislike" this video!

  • @Ryguy1450 they dont ASK to go there. They sign up and sacrifice to do what is asked of them. Noone i know whats to go there. If you have problems with somebody then direct it at the right place. The president. The congress. Dont blame the men and women in the military. They are simply doing as they are told.

  • my little brother is leaving soon! september 17th 116th calvary brigade

  • I cant stop crying!

  • my friends dad has been to Afghanistan and Iraq,he's home no tho, i dont really understand but when i showed this to my friend she cried but i didnt understand why

  • @DanceLover997 Maybe because she's proud, and she doesn't think this video is sad - but she most likely feels thankful that her dad is home now. :)

  • Listen to all those who dont support soldiers!... I know that we all arent perfect i know that some soldiers have made some fucked up decisions in their life I do not call myself a hero only my brothers who have died in war are the real heroes ive been to war and i swear that the units you have seen on cnn and the news are just a couple of units its not the whole us military stop calling soldiers monsters we give up so much just to serve this nation.

  • Yay!

  • We love this song/music video. We actually MET the Gaddis sisters at a praogram called Yellow Ribbon. Our dad came come a few months ago. We missed him very bad. This is amazing.

  • My dad is cominhg home from Taji! He gets to stay fora year and 2 months! He'llbe here in a week! Thank you gaddis sisters. This video helped me undersyand why he's gone. THANKS!

  • my dads leaving today at 3 in the morning:(

  • @cembjkli My dad flies a UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter. Basically he picks up the bad guys and transports them to an interogation room. Or he picks up the good guys and flies them back. Sometimes its so dusty he can't fly or land because it will make it even more dusty.

  • ˙ɥʇoq ɯǝɥʇ ɥʇıʍ ʍoɥs ɐ uı sɐʍ ı ˙ƃuos sıɥʇ ǝʞıן ı

  • Oh my gosh! I wish I knew the Gaddis sisters so much! I know what they are going through and I wish they knew how amazing they are to go show the world how amazing they can be! This video is you know how hard it is to see you mom/dad go and everything. But it also tells you how everything has a price that we can't always pay with money. When my dad comes home, the first time I see him smile I know that it's okay. These are two amazing girls!

  • My dad left to Iraq when I was 7 for 1 year. my parents divorced. I have to stay with my Aunt tilI im like 15. Hey,at least I turned a year older yesterday:) My pops is over n Taji now. I cried when I heard this song for like an hour. Its my favorite song ever!!!! Even my dad got a lil teary eyed:(

  • when i was only 5 both my parents left to war

  • Aww thats so sad:( me too.

  • and i also had to see my dad go to war when i was 8 yrs old. this helped me remember that everytihing has price.

  • the price of peace is war, idf you didnt already catch that. ^_^

  • my favorite song<3

  • the price of peace is payed by the family i have seen my mom and dad both go to irag and now i have to watch them go to aghinistain

  • Really? And how many times our country attacked since 9-11? THAT peace is what it's all about. You can't see the forest for the trees.

  • heyy i remember seeing this on channel one....on veterans day!!!....very moving video

  • @tluver45 Its good to see the Schools are starting to push support for the troops

  • great video,from a hendersonville guardsman

  • In S.S. class on Veterans Day were were playing songs and I recommended this one and half the class including me and the teacher were crying!

  • Thats really good!! Great Job!!! :)

  • omg........this was very moving....

no one can feel the same pain unless they have someone dear to them go off and not be able to see them for months on end.

    great job

this video deserves more than 5 stars....don't you think?

  • how can you not cry watching this...im a navy wife and we have a 1 yr old daughter...im gonna be making a video with this song for sure

  • @simplybribri

I am a Disabled Marine, and i Cry like a lil girl everytime i hear this

  • @n2123n =/ im really sorry to hear that! Ill keep you in my prayers!

  • @simplybribri news flash, your hubby has been coerced into committing a crime against a country that didn't attack the US. he may end up killing an entire family, but i guess that's ok they're only brown people and as such don't deserve the rights you hold for yourself. it's time you took the red pill and educate your self to the reality of global politics. there is also a chance he may die then you'll realize just how inglorious war is. war is perpetrated to prevent people from self governance

  • @boosomentity like the person said above but ill say it even better your an ignorant dumbfuck!!!!!!!! why dont you go live over there instead. LOve it or leave it! you fucking hippy protester

  • @TheAce4214 the war on terror will never end because it doesn't exist, the US government along with many others on record have orchestrated event's like the attacks of 9/11 before to justify attacking other countries so why do you support the actions of these corrupt officials. i am a protester but i am not a hypocrite. i always notice the same reaction from people who can't accept the truth, first they insult you then they ridicule you but they never challenge you on the issues put forth

  • @boosomentity The Government is corrupt? You dont know corrupt. The government didnt plan the DEATH of hundreds of innocent people! You obiously just dont understand the sacrifice the government had to give up on that day... This war is happening becauseof the stupid actions of people purposely trying to harm the u.s in a negatory way. Stop trashing the familys who lost a damn family member through all this shit!

  • @dawsonrogers197 you're obviously taking your information from regular media "PROGRAMMING" history has shown the corruption of the state and to deny that the US government as with all governments is corrupt is simply ignorant and naive. my goal is not to insult people but to address the idiocy of glorifying heroism through the barrel of a gun. have you ever considered as to why so many soldiers who speak out against the war (and they are many) never get any exposure on major news channels?

  • @dawsonrogers197 should you doubt my comments then try and disprove them. my advice to you; if you ever have a doubt ask questions then demand answers.

  • @boosomentity Alright i understand that you dislike the fact that we are fighting for our freedom and the fact that our men and women serving to protect you means nothing but can we not trash them on a song where people are sharing their stories i mean come on what has this world come to? And you say the government is corrupt what about our people? They go to a Soldiers funiral and disrespect them and their peace i wonder why they go over there and fight for thse people but it is because of love

  • @boosomentity They love us and our country they do not deserve the disrespect they receive so would you please stop being a sandwitch and step back and look at a veteran or a soldier and say Thank you for everything that they have gone through and done for people like you! I have a sister, boyfriend, best friend, and many uncles serving for you and if any protesters are at their funiral you can bet many of us will have shotguns in hand because that is disrespectful and noone deseves that

  • @freedomstar15 no one likes to think them selves as a victim so they poke out their minds eye in order to protect themselves from the harsh truth, which is being ordered to invade and kill by billionaires and bureaucrats to line their pockets. the vast majority of military personnel are decent trusting people who believe in what they are doing, and it's these same qualities that are exploited to coerce and trick soldiers in to committing murder in the name of this contrived flag of freedom.

  • @freedomstar15 those serving the War mongers will eventually realize just how counter intuitive their actions oversees are. educate yourself, if you believe that terrorism is not a tool of governments to push an agenda then know that the Gulf of Tonkin incident never happened, and that's on record. you do not realize just how evil the people in your government are, did you know that grandfather Bush was a Nazi collaborator? our countries have been hijacked it's time for us to grow up already.

  • @boosomentity

if you dont wont or cant fight for your own freedom, fine feel free to do so,but at least have the dignity and honor to pay respect to those that do it for you

  • @boosomentity And it's time for people like you to stop being an inconsiderate asshole. The people who make these videos likely have someone serving in the military whom they love and miss and don't know if they will see them come home safe or not so shut the f*** up and take your politics somewhere else!

  • @survivrs it's been a decade now and what have we achieved? first off we have Afghanistan; nothing has changed except for the instilation of a puppet gocernment that has our troops guarding poppy fields from which the opium produced is shipped in to the US. Iraq; the country has been turned into a nightmare, over a million dead Iraqis of which 80% were civilian and that's dicluding all the starvation and disease as a result of the war, babys being born with deformities from the DU shells,

  • @simplybribri hey i don't know you but i know how you feel i am only 14 but i know the deep loses that come with having family over seas... I have a cousin that just got out of the Marines and a cousin still in and over seas... My uncle bubby also just got out of the Navy... this song touches me deeply i don't know how to describe it and i want to share it with everyone because i think they should understand what it feels like.. anyway im right there with you and i thank you for what he does :)

  • @freedomstar15 that is really sweet. thank you! keep your head up. and dont let anyone make you feel bad for being proud and supportive. :)

  • i want to join National Guard and get marred and have a son before i go to war i want to join because i love American
