Thanks for pointing me to Airmail Special. It's vastly better than Over the Rainbow - she has excellent control of intonation this time, and I'm most impressed. Perhaps an extra year has made a big difference; perhaps she had an off day with OTR. When I heard OTR I said she had a long way to go. I'd say now that she's well and truly on the way!

It's called modulating, and it's done on purpose. She exchanged some notes in some of the chords (sings it like that every time, like the word "rainbow" in the chorus). It's pure genious. She's way beyond "talented" already.

Sorry, no. I'm not talking about the chords she's using, or modulation. She's simply out of tune on some of the notes - not by much, but enough for it to be a bit painful. You wouldn't have heard Ella singing off key like that. You can hear the difference when she's compared to an experienced professional. As I said, talented, but a long way to go.

I only agree about the out of tune thing at the begining of the song, but we don't know if the monitoring was right, if she was nervous (oliver jones!) and again, she's only a kid.
