  • This song was on Burnout Paradise? Cool.

  • kinda want to go play burnout paradise now

  • Who do you carry the torch for, my young man? Do you believe in anything? Do you carry it around just to burn things to the ground?

  • WHAT DID YOU LEEAARN TONIIIIGHT??

  • that chorus is…amazing

  • Never even heard of Burnout Paradise. Just love Brand New

  • Burnout Dominator, anyone?

  • thumbs up if you knew this before burnout paradise :D

  • Best song in Burnout Paradise.

  • Burnout Memories :(

  • One of the best songs they have. really catchy chorus too ha

  • Your Favorite Weapon, Deja Entendu, The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me, and Daisy. All the music you'll ever need for every mood you'll ever have. <3

  • I love this song, I think the theme in a lot of Brand New's song's is this kinda stuck feeling between people that are being hypocritical judgmental christian's that do more harm than good and people who put their faith completely in worldly things, this song to me is like a calling out for us to open or eyes..(In a general sense)

  • What changed tonight? What pulled this so out in the open? Made it so easy to target.

I’m screaming my head off as tears fall from my eyes over something I never wanted in the first place. Is this the end of my self-imposed hell? Have I finally snapped myself out of it? I guess it was always up to me to do it anyway.

  • this song is a masterpiece!

  • @MusicIsMyRedemption brand new was on guitar hero?

  • @mrshoot18 Sowing Season (Yeah) was on Guitar Hero 5.

  • Thumbs up if you knew this song before Burnout Paradise

  • @WurmyTV lol I dont even know what burnout paradise is.

  • @WurmyTV Burnout Dominator :D

  • @Scorponizer and Paradise

  • @TheMACE26 Nobody seems to know it from the good old days, racing with my friend to this track. It was the best ^^

  • So glad my sister showed me them :)

  • Such a kick ass song. The album is amazing too and Limousine is just, something else.

  • so good.

  • This was probably the greatest song I've ever heard/seen played live.

  • It fucking KILLZZZ

  • Vocalist reminds me of Biffy Clyro

  • Vocalist reminds me of Blue October.

  • thia song is fantastic the band fuck is very good band

  • I love the indie sound to this song, it's so different from the studio-polished commercial stuff we hear nowadays.

  • I wish Taking Back Sunday had an acceptable, mature fanbase like Brand New does. All I ever hear is bitching. It's nice to hear new music and not see people bitching about everything.

  • This song is the perfect example as to why this band comes back into my life as strongly as it does. There are lines and parts of lines that jump out and get stuck in my head, and I love it!

  • Awesome song,

Heard for the first time while playing burnout paradise 2 years ago

    I still love this song!!!

  • 20 people meant to turn the volume up

  • guys here is a replay button 0:00

  • very beautiful

  • I played this song on the jukebox in the bowling alley today. It was a hit.

  • Something really cool about this album, and in my opinion this song off it in particular, is the bridging of genres.

People who like Brand New's newer stuff, and indie/alt rock in general, and people who used to listen to their older music along with pop/punk rock, can both look back (or forwards, respectively) and see their roots, how they've developed, and maybe find their way into a whole new genre of music that they hadn't realized they'd loved all along.

  • @Alunaris I can agree. Brand New can be targeted at a very vast audience and a lot of people from all different musical backgrounds can enjoy this band, be it classic rock, punk, hip-hop, or even country, I'm sure a lot of people from those musical backgrounds can enjoy and embrace Brand New. I have a friend that only speaks Italian and his favorite band is Brand New! :D

  • Wow! Hell yeah! Love Brand New! Been listening to a lot of Brand New, Hey You!, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Blink-182, and No Doubt...

Hey You! is still pretty new, but they're waaaaaaay dope. Pop/punk/rock with a real cool edge to it. plus, they have a hot chick singer too :-) ....check em out...

search "hey you band taking over"

  • @ChutesandJammers Hey you!.. ew. I don't like at all.. I guess its just me though. I would explain but I cant

  • The first song I ever heard by them and by far my favorite. (Besides Guernica)

  • one of the best songs ever written.

  • Seriously, I hate trolls. Religion, Sex, Politics; there's a reason people say not to lightly talk about them, and this is a good example.

  • @thejuggernaut648 I find trolls entertaining to be honest, haha.

  • ima seeing them live in september

  • Dat drum.

  • I heard this from buying the album because I like Brand New.

  • Burnout FTW!

  • What did you learn tonight?

  • I heard this song through from my fingernails, I'm deaf "\_(^_^)_/"

  • burnout send me here :D

  • Thank's Burnout :)

  • @MrDadou91 Is burnout the name of the band?

  • @michael72986 The name of the band is Brand New. But it's one of the songs from a game called Burnout Paradise.

  • @RaccooNooB I know that. Clearly it says at the top. I'm just making fun of people who talk about dumbass video games instead of the band. But that's because they know nothing about the band.

  • @michael72986 Oh.. My bad :) I missunderstood your question then.

    Ya I see your point.

  • @michael72986 Does it really matter how people heard of the band? On Sowing Season there is a shitload of comments about how people heard them on Guitar Hero but who cares aslong as Brand New are getting noticed for the amazing band they are

  • @TheSudlow Apparently it does matter...TO THEM. Why would anyone name drop if it didn't?

  • @michael72986 Well, technically speaking, Brand New ok'd the rights for Guitar Hero to use their song, in order to promote the band. It's called targeting a medium.

I mean, it's great if you heard of them BEFORE then. But hey, at least now more people who originally never would have, now like Brand New. I think that's what Brand New was aiming for.

  • I heard this in Minecraft. How, you may ask? Touche, I say.

  • Heard this while playing burnout paradise.

  • I see this song as it being a statement towards terrorists.

  • Best song for me in Burnout Paradise.

  • I heard this on Burnout Paradise, the next day, I bought their entire discography, and then bought daisy when it came out. Haven't looked back since. Fucking geniuses

  • 999th like and 666th comment...weird

  • geesh sorry guys

    lets just enjoy the music

  • I'm an atheist and I have "the devil and god are raging inside of me" tattooed on my chest. Brand New is the greatest band ever.

  • BFBE (Best Fucking Band EVER!)

  • This is my absolute favorite off of this album.

  • first time hearing this band. amazing.

  • Fantastic.

  • Burnout Paradise!

  • @Alishaikh94 Road Rage!!!

  • @Alishaikh94 It has such an awesome soundtrack :D

  • if im having a bad day, all i have to do is put this song on.

  • if they were any better the universe would simply cease to exist... sooo be careful Brand New.. cuz i enjoy living quite a bit :P

  • 17 people don't like good drum intro's ;)

  • @therandomallsorts 17 people have no ears.

  • @therandomallsorts 17 people have no ears. They clicked dislike because they felt the awesomeness, just couldn't hear it.

  • i hope their next album will be as good as TDAGARIM.

    daisy wasn't as good

  • we desperatly need music like this back. im sick of hearing wiz kahlifa talk his way to stardom with his horrible rhymes about weed, money, and bitches in EVERY FUCKING SONG. or lil wayne's in audible mumbles or drakes no emotion mono-tone voice. that isnt music this is music, real music with real fans

  • @IwillShredUaNewAnus wiz is great as is brand new

  • Burnout Paradise!!!!!!!!

  • Fucking amazing song. Kick assssssssssssssss!! :D

  • brilliant, just brilliant

  • Kids and their bands today have lost the game. None can even come close to touching the soles of Brand News shoes.

  • @glazed LOST THE GAME

  • you kids. shame shame shame. i love you

  • the one emo band i like, because they take chances with there music.

  • @oknotso

There's a lot of other similar bands that take chances, man. Check out Sunny Day Real Estate, Kidcrash, and....wow, brain fart. I'm at a loss for bands right now, but give those two a listen lol

  • @oknotso to bad they are defiantly not emo...

  • @carlSkatesEnjoi If you really have to classify them then they could be called 'emo'. Who cares?

  • @carlSkatesEnjoi too bad it's spelled "definitely"...

  • @ReFuundGB Oh shnaps

  • best song in burnout!

  • youre a voice that never sings is what i say.

  • Goddamn, does that chorus soar! It goes so high you can't even see it with the naked eye anymore.

  • To the 16 dislikers, though I may disagree with what you say, I respect you for saying it.

  • I do like there darker songs but i wouldnt mind hearing more songs like this

  • is it just me or do any of you people love jamming out to the chorus of this song..?(x

  • Heard it in Burnout Revenge. Great game and a great song!

  • @hockieegirl That's where I heard it! Except I was playing Paradise

  • @fusionhunter YEA! I just played Paradise for the first time and heard it in there again!!

  • Criterion Games sure knows how to make a EPIC playlist! Surprising to have so many sick songs in a GAME :D

    <3 burnout paradise

  • @linuz011

An amazing song and a great game!

  • maybe this is their best song. maybe.

  • @amplifireme maybe every song is their best song. maybe.

  • this song is so amazing

  • The amount of growth this band shows is just incredible. They matured quite a bit from their debut to Deja Entendu, and then they topped that growth when they went from Deja to Devil and God.

    Just an incredible band.

  • @GhostLate have you heard daisy? it is another huge step, not really forward, more like a side step, but a step none the less

  • @GhostLate I agree, but in my opinion, Deja Entendu is their best album.

  • @GhostLate Brand new is a band that only gets better. And they started off strong ha

  • @GhostLate: Can you believe the sound on Daisy?! They are constantly evolving. I am glad they chose to go the route they did.

  • @GhostLate What is this, the first band to age? So, they began as teenie-boppers and now they're older and probably wrote a song about it. Neat. Consider the 20+ year growth and change in a group like Metallica. Check out their Moscow show in '91; you'll notice EVERY. LIVING. BEING.

  • Brand New FTW

  • Comment removed

  • i used to have this album. then i forgot about it because i was expecting something like deja entendu. god damnit :/

  • Shikaramu ftw =p

  • Best song on the Burnout Paradise soundtrack. I just hate I didn't look into these guys anymore after I heard them on it.

  • guys its not about a fucking game its the fucking music

  • Every day is a Brand New day.

  • This song makes my so happy :D

  • What does religion have to do with anything? I'm an atheist. I love Brand New.

    Now STFU.

  • @yelyahsandy but the devil and god are raging inside of me!

  • @yelyahsandy indeed

  • @yelyahsandy everyones entitled to their own opinnion moron

so what if God is brought up in songs not everyones an idiot oops i mean atheist

  • @doherty902 Chill out man,

people were arguing over religion in the comments 5 months ago, I was simply telling them to enjoy the song for what it is, a song.

  • @doherty902 Calling someone an idiot for not having the same beliefs is so arrogant.

  • @yelyahsandy do you have any idea what this song is about? much less even listened to the lyrics of this song?

  • @giveobamaquarters Yes, I do, but people were being prats and bashing each other for what they do/don't believe in so I posted that.

  • @yelyahsandy no1 lieks yew bc you anugly atheist.

  • @yelyahsandy haha, i could care less as long as it sounds good.

  • @yelyahsandy Well a lot of jesse's songs have to do with religion. but, thats just it

  • Maybe that's why they called themselves "Brand New", because they have a brand new style for every album they release....

  • @SeberHusky

i would even go as far to say that they have a brand new style for every song they write

  • @frammk12345 fuck i clicked the down thumb but i mean the up thumb you have a good point there

  • ok for all you people who are saying burnout paradise ftw this song was in burnout dominator before paradise and its better t olike a song for mor then it just being in a game or a movie

  • @Draltal I would submit it doesn't matter where you hear good music as long as you hear it. 40% of my music files are from soundtracks for games, movies, or anime. Not saying only good music makes it in there, just that it's a somewhat logical place to find music that matches your other tastes.

  • @boojitsu ok i obviously didnt phrase my statement right i too get most my music from movies games and anime its just i find it annoying when people say the same thing over and over again.

  • the bass has a nice ring to it xD

  • i approve...

  • ahhhh this album!

  • Hail Satan!

  • I'm sorta, kinda, maybe, a lot, confused by the so crazy ass specific-ness(?) down there ... v_v ..

  • his is the first time I have ever listened to this band, they are great!!!

    I just read some comments

and wow why do the religious views of the band even matter!!!!???

You either like the music or you don't, whether they are Theist or Athiest should cause you to like or dislike a band!!

  • My favourite Brand New song :)

  • I swear, I'm in love. I can't help it.

  • this is such an amazing song. :)

  • @chspittinfire

........I will send you a video that I just recently watched. There are four parts to the video, so I will send you the first one and you can watch the rest if you want. I would love to know what you think!

p.s. I think I responded in the regular comments section, rather than replying to you. But all of my three most recent comments are all replies to you.

  • @chspittinfire

....makes people want to be good, is there a transcendental aspect to our ability to obtain knowledge? Asking yourself these questions will help you to understand the very basics of our connection to God and how there is no way that He does not exist. Also, understanding the different worldviews will help tremendously. Have you ever heard of the Truth Project? They have videos on youtube that address the most popular attacks on Christianity and how we can combat them....

  • Ahhh...I see. I have met many Catholics who have fallen away from the faith. I do not mean to be rude, but I have done some research on the religion and I have found many beliefs within the Catholic Church that are not consistent with what Jesus taught. In my opinion, it makes complete sense for Catholics to fall away from the faith, considering the inconsistencies. Have you ever studied ethics and philosophy from a religious standpoint? How do we decide what's right and what's wrong, what....

  • @chspittinfire

...they feel that there is no going back. Maybe explaining this doesn't sound as upsetting as actually living it, but feeling so hopeless is a very dark place to be. As I said, I appreciate their talent and always will, but they make me sad where they are in their life.

So I'm just curious..based on what you said about how you're open to different ideas on God...what kind of teaching have you had on the subject?

  • @chspittinfire

...makes it quite clear that the path they chose for this album completely represents them in the state that they're in right now. Noro is actually one of the more disturbing songs on the album in my opinion. I think it's catchy musically, but lyrically, it's quite upsetting. These guys have given up on hope. "I'm on my way to hell. Well I've tried, God knows that I've tried." These guys know that they chose the wrong path at the train crossing (between Good and evil), and...

  • @chspittinfire

I used to be open the different views about God also...I even questioned His existence for quite some time. Over the past couple years, however, I have learned a lot about philosophy and have gotten to the root of many issues...my faith in our Heavenly Father has been strengthened so much. Actually, understanding Brand New has kind of aided me in that process.

I wish I could agree with you when you say Daisy isn't representative of Brand New, but understanding their mindset....

  • This is a good song. Idk why. But i like it. A lot. lol

  • Brand New is an acquired taste.

But my absolute favorite fucking band.

  • @TheExcelerate I absolutely agree.

  • @chspittinfire

Yea...that was my first response to it too. I think they've become so dark and very difficult to relate to. However, they are consistent in their beliefs, which is why I still appreciate their new album. They are learning how to not be hypocrites...on the wrong side, of course, but it's true nonetheless. I think they've realized that there are only two consistent ways to live...either fully for God, or fully apart from God. They've chosen the latter, which makes me sad.

  • @chspittinfire

What do you think of Daisy?

  • @chspittinfire

....What albums have you heard from Brand New?

  • @chspittinfire

Hmm...I find it interesting that you couldn't find anything other than Artist in the Ambulance. I wonder where you were looking? The rest of their albums...in order from least recent to newest are as follows....."Identity crisis," "Illusion of safety," "Artist in the Ambulance," "Vheissu," "The Alchemy Index Vol. 1&2," "The Alchemy Index Vol. 3&4," and "Beggars." They have matured tons over the years and it is very clear in each album. They only get better with time! .....

  • @chspittinfire

I completely agree with jstef215. Brand New and Thrice are the two most epic and talented lyricists/musicians that you will ever come across. I love them both because Thrice represents the Christian side and Brand New represents those who have fallen away. My advice to you is to research and learn what both bands are singing about. It really will change your life...it did mine.

    God Bless you!

  • FUCK I LOVE THIS

  • 15 dislikes...I want to slap them all
