  • I want to take huge bites out of its body. Then the neck. Its chocolate appearence glows in incandescence, its aperture awakened by rare harmonic disturbances from the deep blue prussian sea.

Reverberations through timber to my spinal column may complete lifes mysteries.

  • @TehSxeNerd at the age of 15 i had a martin d-28 and a fender strat eric johnson ed. whose to say this kid cant afford this?

  • @nophas god damn you're spoiled.

  • @vincehagstrom not gonna lie, im pretty damn spoiled. But id also ask why would you buy a crappy guitar that you will have to replace, when you could get one nice one that could last your entire life?

  • @nophas You buy crappy guitars cause you don't have very much money, and you don't have very much knowledge of guitars. I also think it's about not having patience to earn that much money to buy that "dream guitar" of yours. Some people buy guitars only for their looks.

A classical "newbie-mistake" you'll learn from when you get more experienced, haha.

  • @vincehagstrom hate to break it to you, but im not a "newbie" to guitar. Nor was i when i was fifteen. I choose a guitar based on quality, regardless of price. I have been taught always to look for tone, sustain, and play-ability. Also a year later, i bought myself a guild F512. wasn't bought for me. Anyway, i guess im arguing online, when its really pointless.

i do however understand what your saying about people who do judge guitars solely on aesthetic.

  • @nophas I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about some people. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough.

  • About $2,500 ??

  • Awesome!! I have a Pre WWII Gibson J-45 Banner Edition!! They sound better with time!!

  • In your honest opinion: Martin D28 Marquis versus Gibson J45 is there a big difference in sound and volume?

  • No better guitar built than a Gibson,I own a AJ,I have never played anything finer & I have played some of the guitars you mention,I would much rather be playing a Gibson & I do!

  • Gibsons are way overpriced, sadly..

  • this sounds best to me out of all acoustic demos

  • Really impressed with the sound of this Gibson!

  • I'd like to hear a J-50 on here. I honestly prefer the J-45 and J-50 to everything Gibson makes.. it's probably the only guitar they have I'd honestly buy.

  • ...awesome sounding, i don't want to know the price ! LES

  • can you tell me what brand strings and gages(sp?) youre using on this? thanks!

  • I aint hatin. I dig it man.

  • Was he using an extended pentatonic scale for his blues picking???

  • @XxAndrewAllenxX Yeah. Standard boxes.

  • It sound good, but the question is - Will it blend?

  • @akunia18 lmfao

  • you need to learn some more songs man

  • @hiphopsucks96 he's comparing the sound to the other guitars as well lol

  • I see no sense in comparing Martins to Gibsons ,(that one is better)--I enjoy the Martin/Gibson contrast in my band. I play Gibsons,( Songwriter,J-200) and the other guitarist plays Martins. I like the bass tone of the Gibson, and she likes the more clear bell tones of a Martin. She uses D28s. I like how they blend. Both names have their own charm in a lot of ways.

  • Sweet...Had a 1974 J45 the sunburst sounded fantastic! Lost in a house fire, been looking to get another but the price kept going up. I have a 1998 Taylor 714 GC it's the best sounding guitar I've ever played!!!

  • what r the top comments talking bout???

  • j45 is my favourite ! i own a Taylor 814 and i love that guitar ! but i keep playing the J-45 at the local music store and Love it ! its my new favourite . Rich , full sound . playable neck , nice size , it doesn't slip off my lap . love this guitar !

  • these videos are very helpful. there are not many true comparisons around. thank you.

  • answer fantastic!!

  • i like the j45 and would love to own one,i've noticed the brand new ones are cheaper than the older versions and there is a big difference in the price depending on the spec. How much would the cheapest j45 sunburst cost me approx?

  • after watching all his video, i can play exactly same songs he played. xD this is more like a guitar lesson.

  • 1-i would not be able to afford this baby 2-i wish i could:(

  • wow..a J-45 I actually like.

  • like an angel burp.

  • GREAT GUITAR!!!!!!

  • @themaninme the sound is amazing!!! and ....the short scale ? where?

  • i love the blues

    I'm also 13

i think the blues is a state of mind that you express through music, it doesn't matter how old you are

and whoever said that there's an age to play the blues (or a price range) should just play and feel a little bit. blues is universal

  • @Manu220798 hey!! i loved the blues when i was 13!!! High Five (imaginary)!!!!

  • @ShredderGuitar2 hahaha, high five! I hope u still love it! What r ur favorites?

  • @Manu220798 Blues are still up there!!! but now... I like country and bluegrass!!! I liked SRV, B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Guym Eric Clapton, ect.

  • @ShredderGuitar2 hahaha, marry me?

  • @Manu220798 uhhhh well................ hahahaha

  • Is this a rosewood back?

  • still not bright ebough (for mey)

  • One of gibsons best acoustics ever made..IMO..beautiful tone

  • i like verry much BLUES

  • it sounds like rosewood(side&back)...

    i expected nomal J45 orz

  • Sounds like Obama piece of shit Anti Christ president shut them down for the 2nd time in 3 years of his office.

  • @bluegrasssingingman ...faggot

  • @bradabbottmusic You call me a faggot, you should be calling Obama the faggot. He is the one that had the Feds shut Gibson down, not once but twice now.

  • man im 14 and i have MY es 345 and j45 (from 1965)

  • I have gone through many things and everytime something goes on why not play it out

  • Lol at the top comments. I'm 16 years old and now have in my hands a J-45 Custom. Dream come true

  • A superb acoustic demo, great playing and wonderfully recorded, rare to find on Youtube. You also didn't just hammer out a few chords but demonstrated all the subtleties of the guitar.

  • gibson acoustic=not worth it

  • what's the name of the piece starting 0:23 ?

  • nice!This is J-45 Custom!

  • hmm, my J-45 sound definitely better :)

  • Nice hoped more blues though i love the blues and im only 13 i just feel it

  • @Danny980223 dude, no one cares of your age and you obviously cant afford this anyways

  • @TehSxeNerd Why are you ragging on a 13 year old because he/she likes the blues? That's quite low. And who cares if they can't afford this. My guess is most of the people watching this including yourself wouldn't be able to afford it either. You should learn to get a life and start encouraging younger generations.

  • @TehSxeNerd I'm 15 i've got a couple of guitars around the price range of this, so leave that kid alone who are you to say what he or she can and can't afford? Just cause you can't afford it doesn't mean he or she can't.

  • @KatieShadowWolf Woww-ee! You've got quite expensive ones. I'm ALMOST fifteen and my best acoustic is under two hundred dollars. But who needs better, Ibanez is a good maker. ;) You lucky.. :D

  • @Juicefani11 haha yeah ibanez are a good guitar:)

  • @KatieShadowWolf fuck you, you didnt pay for them yourself if a 15 year old can afford a 4,000$ guitar. just another spoiled rich brat who doesn't appreciate music

  • @TehSxeNerd I'm far from it. I bet i can prove im more passionate about music than you'll ever be.:)

  • @KatieShadowWolf dad must have a padded bank account lol, us peasants have to do it the hard way.

  • @iHacksorzz the awkward moment when i have no idea who my dad is:P

  • @KatieShadowWolf whoa sorry about that.

  • @iHacksorzz haha it's alright i just love making situations awkward :L

  • @TehSxeNerd dude your a bitch. fuck you. you wanna pick on little kids on the computer. your a big man huh. you have no idea what people can afford or how much they appreciate music. seriously get a fucking life.

  • @thrilamanilagodzilla Gear down there little sparky.

  • @Danny980223 you cant feel the blues at that age,you have to have more experience. a lot.

  • @ilmanmuutajamuutilma I felt that shit at the age of 16 man. It aint a sophistocated being man. Just a feeling. You pull a baby's blankie away hes gonna have the blues. Aint no age limit on that shit man. Its music, soul. It aint cigarettes. -Cody Lee Meece

  • @9timesnine well, thats true. and as stevie ray says,"first u feel it and then you learn how to do it."

  • @PurpleHaze427 I believe the woods are the same and that the extra money is just put into ornaments and such. be sure to check out if the wood types are the same. normally they are and if you just care about sound and don't need sweet inlays and all that stuff, you should go for the cheapest one (true vintage if im correct), that's what i did with buying my Gibson acoustic as well. you can here it on my channel if you'd like to hear it.

  • where can i get tabs to ur arpeggo or ragtime?

  • @jacobguitar1 Or you could just look and listen to what hes doing..

  • @Ekis86 now i bet neither him you or me could tab ragtime. thats a little unfair

  • Just come to by mine.. :)))) i love "her" :)

  • So far I'm like feel and the sound of the Taylor guitars, but I'm still shopping...

  • @ImSuperHaute Try a Yamaha LL 16 really good sound solid woods and value or your money---even a Yamaha FG 730 S is really good and cost like 300 bucks at Musician's Friend or Same Day Music----shipping is free too------good luck to ya the LL16 is all solid wood and cost about 750 or something around that the FG 730 S has solid top with laminate rosewood back and sides--but really good quality or the bucks it costs

  • It's muddy and sounds like a tin can.

  • @rockyoursoulout hahahahah like shit and what is for you good guitar ??

  • sounds better when you don't press the top with your wrist.

  • @jimmypinch That's so true. He does that indeed, quite firmly or so it seems.

  • Way too much bottom and the top is tinny. Strum is sweet, But you need a large diaphragm studio mic with at least a meter distance to here a good room. You have to let all the harmonics happen then fan out in a broad way to hear these guitars.

  • не заметил разници между этой и cort ad850

  • @DgUgIK

Это значит лишь то,что ты просто глухой напрочь!

  • @Mys4inka и в чём же разница,мой ласковый и юный друк?

только по тому,что это Гибсон?Блеять выпей яду

  • @DgUgIK

  • Mine is a 1999 J-45. What year is that one?

  • I wish I had that guitar T_T

Sounds so amazing! But so expensive as well :\

  • What year is the custom your playing? It sounds awesome.

  • I've had my j-45 for about three months now and it is the best sounding acoustic I've ever heard. I have the j-45 standard and a guy I play with has a Martin d18 and my Gibson sounds better, and it will get a better tone as it ages. I tell people when they ask that it has a sweeter tone to it but it also has booming lows. Paid $2700 for it at guitar center (after taxes) but it was worth every penny.

  • THIS is what Gibsons should sound like. Round bass with quick decay to get out of the way of the mids. Just enough high chime to give a three-part voice, but with fast decay over all to get out of the way of the next batch of notes. Would that all Gibsons sounded this good.

  • This is the sweetest one closely followed by the J200 then the Lowden. Brilliant comparrisons though top marks fellas

  • more quiet but even

  • i like the gibson deluxe pegs alot more they look more vintage thats one thing i would replace
