I want to take huge bites out of its body. Then the neck. Its chocolate appearence glows in incandescence, its aperture awakened by rare harmonic disturbances from the deep blue prussian sea.
Reverberations through timber to my spinal column may complete lifes mysteries.
@vincehagstrom not gonna lie, im pretty damn spoiled. But id also ask why would you buy a crappy guitar that you will have to replace, when you could get one nice one that could last your entire life?
@nophas You buy crappy guitars cause you don't have very much money, and you don't have very much knowledge of guitars. I also think it's about not having patience to earn that much money to buy that "dream guitar" of yours. Some people buy guitars only for their looks.
A classical "newbie-mistake" you'll learn from when you get more experienced, haha.
@vincehagstrom hate to break it to you, but im not a "newbie" to guitar. Nor was i when i was fifteen. I choose a guitar based on quality, regardless of price. I have been taught always to look for tone, sustain, and play-ability. Also a year later, i bought myself a guild F512. wasn't bought for me. Anyway, i guess im arguing online, when its really pointless.
i do however understand what your saying about people who do judge guitars solely on aesthetic.
No better guitar built than a Gibson,I own a AJ,I have never played anything finer & I have played some of the guitars you mention,I would much rather be playing a Gibson & I do!
I'd like to hear a J-50 on here. I honestly prefer the J-45 and J-50 to everything Gibson makes.. it's probably the only guitar they have I'd honestly buy.
I see no sense in comparing Martins to Gibsons ,(that one is better)--I enjoy the Martin/Gibson contrast in my band. I play Gibsons,( Songwriter,J-200) and the other guitarist plays Martins. I like the bass tone of the Gibson, and she likes the more clear bell tones of a Martin. She uses D28s. I like how they blend. Both names have their own charm in a lot of ways.
Sweet...Had a 1974 J45 the sunburst sounded fantastic! Lost in a house fire, been looking to get another but the price kept going up. I have a 1998 Taylor 714 GC it's the best sounding guitar I've ever played!!!
j45 is my favourite ! i own a Taylor 814 and i love that guitar ! but i keep playing the J-45 at the local music store and Love it ! its my new favourite . Rich , full sound . playable neck , nice size , it doesn't slip off my lap . love this guitar !
i like the j45 and would love to own one,i've noticed the brand new ones are cheaper than the older versions and there is a big difference in the price depending on the spec. How much would the cheapest j45 sunburst cost me approx?
@Manu220798 Blues are still up there!!! but now... I like country and bluegrass!!! I liked SRV, B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Guym Eric Clapton, ect.
@bradabbottmusic You call me a faggot, you should be calling Obama the faggot. He is the one that had the Feds shut Gibson down, not once but twice now.
A superb acoustic demo, great playing and wonderfully recorded, rare to find on Youtube. You also didn't just hammer out a few chords but demonstrated all the subtleties of the guitar.
@TehSxeNerd Why are you ragging on a 13 year old because he/she likes the blues? That's quite low. And who cares if they can't afford this. My guess is most of the people watching this including yourself wouldn't be able to afford it either. You should learn to get a life and start encouraging younger generations.
@TehSxeNerd I'm 15 i've got a couple of guitars around the price range of this, so leave that kid alone who are you to say what he or she can and can't afford? Just cause you can't afford it doesn't mean he or she can't.
@KatieShadowWolf Woww-ee! You've got quite expensive ones. I'm ALMOST fifteen and my best acoustic is under two hundred dollars. But who needs better, Ibanez is a good maker. ;) You lucky.. :D
@KatieShadowWolf fuck you, you didnt pay for them yourself if a 15 year old can afford a 4,000$ guitar. just another spoiled rich brat who doesn't appreciate music
@TehSxeNerd dude your a bitch. fuck you. you wanna pick on little kids on the computer. your a big man huh. you have no idea what people can afford or how much they appreciate music. seriously get a fucking life.
@ilmanmuutajamuutilma I felt that shit at the age of 16 man. It aint a sophistocated being man. Just a feeling. You pull a baby's blankie away hes gonna have the blues. Aint no age limit on that shit man. Its music, soul. It aint cigarettes. -Cody Lee Meece
@PurpleHaze427 I believe the woods are the same and that the extra money is just put into ornaments and such. be sure to check out if the wood types are the same. normally they are and if you just care about sound and don't need sweet inlays and all that stuff, you should go for the cheapest one (true vintage if im correct), that's what i did with buying my Gibson acoustic as well. you can here it on my channel if you'd like to hear it.
@ImSuperHaute Try a Yamaha LL 16 really good sound solid woods and value or your money---even a Yamaha FG 730 S is really good and cost like 300 bucks at Musician's Friend or Same Day Music----shipping is free too------good luck to ya the LL16 is all solid wood and cost about 750 or something around that the FG 730 S has solid top with laminate rosewood back and sides--but really good quality or the bucks it costs
Way too much bottom and the top is tinny. Strum is sweet, But you need a large diaphragm studio mic with at least a meter distance to here a good room. You have to let all the harmonics happen then fan out in a broad way to hear these guitars.
I've had my j-45 for about three months now and it is the best sounding acoustic I've ever heard. I have the j-45 standard and a guy I play with has a Martin d18 and my Gibson sounds better, and it will get a better tone as it ages. I tell people when they ask that it has a sweeter tone to it but it also has booming lows. Paid $2700 for it at guitar center (after taxes) but it was worth every penny.

i love the blues
I'm also 13
i think the blues is a state of mind that you express through music, it doesn't matter how old you are
and whoever said that there's an age to play the blues (or a price range) should just play and feel a little bit. blues is universal
