  • Your recording room sounds like an echo chamber.

  • is it possible to do the tremolo with just a thumb index and middle finger once my ring-finger gets involved with tremolo my hand locks down, it is fine with other positions and chords but just not a one string tremolo. been in the classical playing for a year and electric for 4 years even though im practicing only classical and enjoy it a lot more but this is annoying me now

  • @Samuelhj well, pimi is probably how it was done back in the early days of tremolo (in my opinion) so you can certainly get the piece going using that technique, However I would encourage you to keep working on pami fingering - if you have only been playing classical for a year I would not expect tremolo to be easy just yet (my technique book has a good section on tremolo ;-) ... and its how to get a good 'modern' tremolo sound.

    Good luck anyway!

  • @JacarandaMusic Thanks a lot for clearing that up as I was heavily confused if I was doing it right. I know that certain aspects of guitar technique have to be done with a lot of detail so i wanted to ask somebody with greater knowledge that I do :-) i can play the tremolo parts of this piece with the pimi tecnique even though i will continue to learn the pami. Its sort of confusing as i can do the pami tremolo on 3 strings from e --> g even though on one string it just doesnt happen. thank you!

  • @JacarandaMusic Yes, it is better keep learning the pami pattern for tremolo... also a tremolo technique used in flamencoguitar (p iami p iami ... etc.) is good to learn since it gives u more ways to express music and improves the technique of right hand in common. Nice video thanks.

  • Sorry, you look like such a nerd but then you play so beautifully. Yours is definitely one of the best renditions of this number on youtube. The tempo is perfect and you get the timing changes just right - it really sounds like a passionate and tumultuous love affair. The advice is very valuable too - thanks.

  • i have to play this at my school, its hard O:

  • Excellent!

  • This is fantastically illustrative. Your commentary is aces, and has given me much to think about while tackling this piece. Oh, and great rendition, as well! Thanks a lot.

  • @KinoJarman thank you for your kind words and glad to be of help!

  • i guess this is why they call these pieces, "studies", hehe

  • Super tempo, great articulation. Well done.
