  • "I'll pave this place and turn it into a parking lot"

    That made LOL!

  • genuis and all... quite a singer too haha

  • sublime

  • :)

  • hahahahhaha its so goood

  • hahaha the end with latka, ''where's my hamburger, who wants to wrestle''

    lol lmfao

  • This is the best thing that ever went on tv! So sad that most people dont get/ like it and it was a one-time special.

  • Total COMIC GENIUS... period.

  • @YeahRight825

Only thing he did that was funny was Taxi and that was because he had to follow a script that real comedians wrote. Left on his own, he succeded in being weird, but was only getting laughs by accident. The Sat Night Live audience voted him off for being a self absorbed suck that wasn't entertaining, just strange.

  • @TheJomogogo Ok, that your opinion... thanks for your high and mightly superior input.

  • @YeahRight825 **that's

  • (I Love The Credits)

    Sheep!

    They follow along..

Gotta find a leader, huh? BOY! And they bought that crap that I was a vegetarian HA! I can't believe they bought that I was a vegetarian!

  • I have this song on my MP3 Player; Andy brightens my day where-ever I go (:

God bless you, crazy b*tch! You were so magical.

  • Let me be more clear since the whole video is and ending somehow. I am talking about from 3:50 to the end. simply the best. genius, andy!!!!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Best ending of a youtube video EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I can't think of a better way to have ended this show.

  • whats the song

  • I LOVE the "I Love Grandma" Shirt, and Foreign Guy's bad side HAHAHAHA I LOST IT!

  • I love this clip, because it showcases Andy's genius. He deconstructs four shows in less than four minutes!

Deconstruction #1: The original show is deconstructed by his lapsing into the "bad guy" persona ("where's my hamburger")

Deconstruction #2: Foreign Man confronts Bad Guy

Deconstruction #3: Bad Guy admits that, at heart, he's really a sensitive, hurt man

Deconstruction #4: Foreign Man closes out the show and shows his "true colors" -- it was like a foreign man assassination!

  • I can't take Foreign Man being the bad guy. It's too damn much.

  • It's funny when he goes on the rant the clapping dies down. Stupid fucks.

And the majority of those fucks are posting here now, that doesn't include me by the way.

I'm smarter than all of you. Fools.

  • You're from Hollywood

    You have brains.

  • of course you are

  • Who wants to wrestle?

  • "I love grandma"

    LOL

  • lol!! great!!! he's just the best!!

  • brilliant

  • Why are you idiots comparing Cobain and Kaufman?

  • Both married to Courtney Love ;o)

  • because courtney love played kaufmans girlfriend in "man on the moon"

  • I like the part where he says "I'll pave this place and put up a parking lot."

I think he's quoting "Big Yellow Taxi" by Joni Mitchell.

    :-) hehe!

  • Lol...

It sounds terrible...but I always burst out laughing every time Kaufman cries xD

  • Amazing, he was a genius.

  • oh yes i was looking for this sweet song

  • Classic...absolutely classic!

  • who wants to wrestle? c´mon, who wants to wrestle?

    hahaha just great!

    RIP Andy

  • Lol. Andy Kauffman Wuz the best comedian.

  • where is my hamburger?

  • I miss you Andy! Rest in peace! I will see you in Heaven! Nice video! It is so funny!

  • Somehow I think we won't have to wait for heaven to see Andy again ;)

  • so funny!!

  • Did you also upload his opeing song? That's what I was looking for? "Hi to you and hi to me, hi to everyone"

  • Before his time.

  • okey??

  • very intelligent . .. but I still wonder where most of the ideas came from ? did he have writers or were these his own ideas ?

  • Most of them came from a one-armed man, he came up with the rest himself.

  • where is my hamburger?

  • where is my hamburger?

  • AMAZING...GENIUS!

  • LOL, that was gooood...i don't think some people understood Andy's comedy.

  • It's quite possible to understand it and still not like it. It's just comedy, you can take it or leave it.

  • thats right

  • I agree, personally I think it's genius though ;)

  • My favorite part is when he says ; "talking about stupidity and ignorance".LMAO!!!The whole video is priceless ,but this specific moment is top...

  • so funny! luv it:)

  • latka at the end was the best...'are we off the air ? ...where's my hamburger?'...lmao

  • WHO WANTS TO WRESTLE??? LOL

  • Some people confuse Kaufman with a comedian. He wasn't. He liked to get the audience pissed at him and to pull elaborate pranks that appeared real. Most stage performers do everything they can to avoid awkward moments. Andy Kaufman tried to make awkward moments.

  • no he didn't.....he was a brilliant comedian

  • shut up!!

  • Basically what it comes down to is this: Some people got Kaufman and some did not. Just because you do not understand something does not mean that the ones that do get it are "retarded". Grow up

  • yeah exactly i agree

  • Oh ok all powerful overlord of opinion.

    Idiot.

  • Awesome

  • Basically he is playing "the phony jerk"; a nice guy in front of the camera and a jerk when the cameras are off. But then after sweet innocent Latka break him down Latka is then revealed as a similar phony jerk. LOL. Kaufman was a genius. The problem is some people couldn't recognize his abstract humor.

  • duh!

  • Well looking at some of the comments on Kaufman and this clip its doesn't seem to be so "duh!".

  • He thrived on people not getting it. Not getting a) the gentle deceptions of show biz, where the audience thinks it's complicit (b) the harsh deceptions of 'reality', when you wonder who or what you can trust. Half the comments here think they're getting at the 'real Andy Kaufman', not realizing that was just another layer of the onion. The real Andy was the detached watcher whom we'll never know through clips.

  • deconstruction of the Television industry.

  • I know somebody who played at the improv who says he met andy, and he was just like any normal person.

  • Nircelaj5....non capisci un cazzo di comicità e neanche di espressione artistica...

    Guarda il grande fratello porogramo...

  • never seen foreign man so assertive -- yuk yuk -- can't get enough -- he was going for the feel of one of those low budget children shows that every local station used to do -- usually early mornings after 'news and farm report' and before the game shows

  • thank ending was priceless. what a mind-fu@k! :) he was so ahead of his time, people just couldnt handle shit like that in the early 80's, they wanted their celebrities in black and white. shame.

  • hahahahaha!! that was the best thing ever! *where is my hamburger ... hwo wants to wrestle*

  • He was showing his two personalities the press/media accused him of having. Latka was what everyone wanted him to be, they didn't want him to be Andy.

Really he was insecure and attention seeking yet he did have a gentle soul.

  • Ok that was a bit weird.

No dont get me wrong but it were a bit confusing I mean that in the end were fake right I mean he couldnt have been that bad as he acted out right??....right?

  • Yes he meant what he said after the credits about people being sheep....that was his cynicism coming out...I just think he was trying to let people understand that yes, he was cynical but that he was trying to come to terms with it. I love Andy Kaufman and its too bad he died before I was birthed.

  • Kaufman ment every word he said in the bit after the credits. He was showing everyone who he really was.

  • so, he wasn't a vegetarian then? wrong. who are you to say who this man 'really was'?

  • Hahahahahahahah, one of the best Kaufman clips I've seen on Youtube!

  • Wahahaha!! This is Brilliant!

  • have a lot of pity for this man

  • Folks, Don't have pity, have respect for this "genius"

  • i have a lot of pity for you. i have respect for this man.

  • I get the impression this was inspired by the ending to Andy Griffith's "Face in the Crowd" movie where the other Andy goes on about what sheep the masses are right after he thinks the cameras are turned off, only here it's used to comedic effect.

  • this is such a GREAT CLIP!!!

the first part stands also on the CD :)

  • Comment to drek258 : Well, lots of people - not from the USA - did not have the chance to know him and thanks to Man on the Moon we can get to have a good time now, even years after he´s passed away. I don´t see the big deal with it...This was a friendly, friendly comment, uh?

  • thanks! i taped over the end of this on accident never thought id see it again!

  • I wish i was around to see him in his prime and not only find out about him from man on the moon and watch his clips on youtube.

  • yep.. me too...

  • oh ok...it looks like it would have been awesome.

  • fuck, this rules

  • oh okay, so was "The Andy Kaufman Show" a one time thing? are all the clips on YouTube from the same time or..?

  • I don't know for sure was it ever broadcasted but these clips are from the same, one hour show..

  • why isnt "The Andy Kaufman Show" mentioned on the man on the moon movie

  • it is- its his network special

  • this is so great

  • 'are we off the are yet?' IT'S GREAT! XD

'i got enough money to buy u and keep u for a pet!' :D
