The tape on top of the car is because when they filmed 1979 (Perfect is the sequel), they ended up having to reshoot the whole video, because the guy had left the recording on top of his car and it got destroyed.

@trufu9 Well, a lot of things happened to me back then. I was pretty hooked on Mellon Collie, MM's Antichrist Superstar and NIN's Downward Spiral (which gave me a lot of weird thoughts) and after that Adore came by, along with Orgy's Candyass and Korn's Follow The Leader.

My brother (who introduced me to this music) was leaving for a year and told me to be loyal to these bands, despite what our parents or all the people said. As a 10yr old it was hard, but I did like he said, fortunately!!!

The Smashing Pumpkins are my favorite band. Changed my life forever with SD and MCIS, but Adore and Machina 2 are my favorite Pumpkins albums. When you listen to middle and later pumpkins and you actually TRY, it's rewarding in the end. It disappointing me sometimes when people are hardcore SP fans but only enjoy listening to SD and MCIS. Just a biased opinion though really.
