@TheL17forever Don't forget that many Kpop artists are getting their inspiration and concepts from Lady Gaga. Her music isn't crap in its entirety, so you shouldn't sell her short. Many asian artists trying to cross over to the states don't really succeed...examples, Utada Hikaru...Se7en. Personally, I was hoping Se7en was going to make it. :(

Part of the reason is that they promoted her really weird, She didn't get any air time on TV or on the radio (at least not that I know of) they completely promoted her online. Hell, I didn't find out that she had an American album released until 9 months after it was released. She's got good music and some awesome fans but she's just not getting the publicity she needs. That's where we come in, lol.

I think in terms of popularity BoA is probably a really popular artist in Asia. And it isn't like she hasn't broken into different markets (Japan, China) so I think it may take a few more CDs in the US but she might just be able to make it. Lady GaGa's theme is more sexuality/love stuff. BoA doesn't even hint at any of it; all she's singing about is dancing and the feel of it.
