@TheStormtrooperrr Not really, some guitars do better than others, but if you dive bomb too heavy with that kind of tailpiece the strings are gonna go way out of tune.

The Maestro tailpiece is the chrome piece that extends down the body of the guitar.

@acdcfreakNr1 its vibrato, that means that it lowers the tension on the strings at the bridge when you put prussure on a bar on the tailpiece, this sound will sound a bit like a bend.

That's right and Maestro tailpiece is part of that unit that made this guitar famous. It has Gibson and a cool design etched into it as well.

The vibrato is perfect for clean jazz playing..The Gibson SG was originally intended to be a jazz clean sound guitar.

A good example of perfect vibrato in action is Stevie Ray Vaughns song 'Lenny'. Look up the video here on youtube..the beginning of the song is full of vibrato chords..its a masterpiece
