I am thinking this is in the 80s, I want to say 84 or 85 (81 was Chicago, 82 was San Francisco, 83 was dc?., Elder Lenox recorded this song with Elder Richard Mr Clean White on his Richard Mr Clean White and Friends Lp that was released in 84 ( I am almost certain).
OMG! I have been looking for this song sung by Elder Lennox since he passed! I kept searching for "Oh Give Thanks Unto the Lord!" Praise God because this does something for my soul! I am COGIC born and bred til I'm dead!
I was in the UNAC choir during the '80s. It was in Washington, D.C. at the Convention Center. I don't remember which UNAC it was. I thought it might be this one until I saw Aristobulus789's comment. The only other details I remember is that Mattie Moss Clark directed the choir, Twinkie Clark was there, and I think Elder Lenox was there. Can anybody refresh my memory as to which UNAC that was?
I am sitting here about to cry thinking and looking at the legacy in this video of Elder James E Lenox and Kelvin Lenox, bringing back memories from Greater Holy Temple,
@Aristobulus789 As for the Chicago album, Mattie told us the truck failed during the recording and the tape was damaged so the album was never released. I use to have rehearsal tapes of the session, but I can't find them.
I think it means United National Auxiliaries Convention, or something like that. The current name is AIM - Auxiliaries in Ministry. I've been out of the COGIC for a while.
