Well you know my ad and I came back from target one day and I'm like dad, I've been hearing a lot about in school action park. What is it? My dad said oh honey that was a really really bad park. I went there when I was a teeager with my friends my friends gott cuts and bruises and a lot of people died.now it is closed. Well guess wat I got scared so much! I didn't wanna g there deadliest park""
Anyone from the east coast knows about the right of passage that this park was and always will be your true test of becoming a man! Who ever thought of Final Destination the movie went to action park..
Was it ture there where fights at the Trazan Swing and in Action Park in general? I heard rummours that Andrew Dice Clay got into a brawl at Action Park at the Tranzan Swing?
guess what??? You sign a waiver when you go there and buy a ticket .Just like Skiing "Ski at YOUR OWN RISK!" THe Space Shuttle ...same thing , they all Died ! They flew at their own risk . Even though NASA used poor judgement launching the shuttle on a cold day ..bad for the fuel seals they did it anyway ,and it caught fire and blew up .Nobody's suing anyone ,hate to tell you,no offense .
I almost drowned in the wave pool there. I was maybe 7 or 8, and I walked ALL the way in before they turned it on. Then the waves came, and I went under after it really picked up. The lifeguard looked down at me, threw a little raft at me, and continued to swing his whistle.
Looking for the best place to kill your family? Come to action park! we have 75 rides that are made out of cardboard and fiberglass that go over 500 miles per hour!
Too many pussies sued and caused them to close the place!! I've only been there once and it was the greatest place in the world. I wish I could go back in time to spend one more day at this place!!!
@lisamfitz Haven't been up there in forever. Do you know if they still have the cliff dive or the rope swing where you can get sick air before jumping into the pool?
Well, mostly. From what I've heard some of the stuff hasn't had really any changes other than more attentive lifeguards and operators, as opposed to the high/drunk teenagers who couldn't give a rat's ass if you died on their watch. The raft ride in particular is apparently still quite dangerous, despite the rafts no longer being overloaded and underinflated.
That guy caught air on that slide. I've never come close to catching air on any slide, that's just dangerous, and they put it in a commercial? I guess everything they say about this park is true lol
Mountain Creek removed the Kamikaze slide not the past summer, but the summer before [2009, last time I went on it funnily enough]. Sure, it wasn't the most "action-y" of Action Park's originals, but still leaves an empty hole in that nostalgic soul.
@Lronsjetpack Take it easy... this park fucking ruled. Read the wiki page funniest article to read. BOAT RIDE INFESTED WITH SNAKES!!! hahahaha Boy do I miss it :(
**FUN FACT**: Action Park actually employed someone that would stand by the exit and eviscerate you with a meat clever if you happened to walk out without any injuries or body bags.
nearby hospital said they treated from five to ten victims of park accidents on some of the busiest days, and the park eventually bought the township of Vernon extra ambulances to keep up with the volume
thats not a generations fault thats an UNSAFE PARK and why i got legally fucked and closed down.
@Lronsjetpack you know whats funny, now that i look back i remember seeing ambulances parked outside all the time but never thought twice about it,the only thing i saw that was really brutal was this kid smacking his head on a that underground pipe slide into the water.
@leo12namath shut the fuck up cause no one knows what generation your talking about. my childhood was in the 90's and i sure as shit don't cry about everything, but then again i'm not a sadistic fuck and personally think your a fucking idiot if you want to go to an amusement park just to hurt and possibly kill yourself. if you mean the kids theses days, as in the technology addicted, justin beiber loving generation then i think i wholeheartedly agree with you
I remember this commercial well. Action Park was the shit especially that huge drop ,I remember all the lifeguard people would be like NO DIVING and it was so funny cause dudes would laugh and proceed to do some triple dive shit. LMAO
I got hurt in this park when was like 8 years old on the alpine slide with my cousin....some stupid bitch stopped in the middle of the track and we were going down full speed! Me and my cousin flew off the track tumbling down the mountian at least 20 ft. I still have the scars on my arm
@JaredKinter1981 When your petition is full, who will you send it to? The people who don't own it?
Action park closed down because the insurance and liability costs were disproportionate to profit margins.
Somebody might be able to run the park at a profit if they made everyone who entered sigh a 5 page legal waiver but the amount of legal and economic hurdles faced by Action Park make re-opening near inviable.
@guruatomik Look some of the big reasons that Action Park had so many problems was #1 the majority of the Staff was underage.....#2 Ride design was still primitive........3# Poor staff training. Its 2010 now, Ride design has greatly improved, they could hire staff that whom are at least over the age of 21 whom would be properly trained in ride operation and safety. And for your information i would send the petition to Palace Entertainment whom currently owns Mountain Creek Water Park.
@JaredKinter1981 The water rides are all still there plus new rides like High Anxiety and Alpine Pipeline... the only thing great about action park that you can't do at Mountain Creek now was being able to be drunk and high and get away with it.
@dadsoldtapes I know that much. But everything else is gone. The Tank Ride is a Vacant Lot now, The Super Kart track is a Condominium Complex. The Alpine Slide Trail can still be seen if you ride the Gondola.
@JaredKinter1981 the alpine slide was the thing that really messed people up lol, i wish they had just fixed the elements that caused injury and kept the sweet name, ACTION PARK! i miss it :[ the 90's were the best time for everything i went in 1995, i'm upset now i know it is lame
That slide at the end of the commercial was my FAVORITE! It had roller pins all the way down and when you got to the pool you skimmed it like a stone, it was so much fun... Best place ever
