I can't say who's better than the other because they all ahve their own styles. Ian's is the most original but he's the least technical among the 3. The most technical would have to be Dave however, Ray Toro's phrasing and soloing is tasty. In fact, I think he's a better soloist than the two. It's just very classic rock driven. Like I said again, there's no contest. Each of these guys are great at their own right. Just don't discriminate because from the bands they're in.

Nothing really impressive from these solos, weird how I got on this vid from watching my favorite guitarist, Jari Maenpaa. Check him out, you'll know what REAL solos sound like. Don't get my wrong, I'm not hating, I used to listen to Billy Talent and Sum41 alot a few years ago.

Dave and Ian rock! Ray is ok. His solo's and stuff aren't as technical as ians or daves. They seem to be more metal influenced than him.

You can't say who the best guitarist is, but as far as me being a well trained guitar player, his sound is original, it is intricate as well as melodicly fluent and I admire that he plays most of his inctricate poly melodic parts on CLEAN. Its not mucked up with a bunch of gain and distortion. I have to give him credit for his great original sound for sure.

Ian D'sa is fucking amazing - not saying he's unbelievably talented or anything but the guitar lines he plays are crazy complex and intricate and he does it with such ease. Saw Billy talent live and he was like talking to the crowd and singing while string skipping

Anyone who thinks these guys are amazing guitarists needs to listen to more technical music. Check out The Faceless, All Shall Perish, or some Cannibal Corpse. Obviously, none of you possess the musical knowledge to realize that these riffs are fuckin easy as hell. Ian D'Sa is the only one I have remote respect for on this list. The other two can suck wide ones. People, open your eyes to the world of talented guitar players (Hint: they aren't on the radio.)

There are may more 'talented' guitarists out there but it really depends on your definition. If by 'talent' you mean the ability to create and play great guitar lines that are widely accepted as enjoyable to listen to, these guys are better. Complex doesn't mean good! ie. Slash isn't the most technical guitarist out there but people love him. He plays with feel and knows what 'sounds good.' Understanding of music trumps technical know-how on the guitar for me any day. Dave and Ian are amazing

As you said, it all depends on what you see as talent. Personally I see talented as being able to write a good song but still showing off technical ability in that song. I find these players very boring to listen to because of how basic their playing is but I respect them as song writers. but I really need to have more interesting riffs for me to see these guys as truly talented.
