It's cropping you get it done when there like puppys and you have to tape them for about six months to a year or more to keep them upright and heal supposedly to them straight up.
@TrulyLivindaLife No, not for a first time dog owner, definitely not. They need alot of attention and training when they're puppies, so when they get bigger they wont be so hard to control. I have 2 great danes atm, and I don't think I'll ever own a diff breed of dog ever again, I love them. If you think you can handle a dane though, and have enough space for it to exert energy then you might look into it.
hehe i remember i had to stop doing this with my dane. he got to excited an took bites out of the wall. his teeth were fine but i had to fix the wall. beautifull dog

It's a surgical procedure I think it's called 'cropping'.
