  • Your art is great! My only complaint is that that you flip through your sketchbook too quickly...I would go through much slower. But, really, your work is awesome. Great video.

  • anybody else thing the guy at the bottom left at 1:11 is hilarious !!!

  • what age did you start drawing at ?

  • quick question how did u publish ur own book ?

  • What's next? "How to fu*k" ?? COME ON !!! I don't think there's a RULE on how to draw on YOUR scketch book, everyone draws how they feel

  • How long have you been drawing? And how long do you usually draw per day?

  • this is awesome! :)

  • What kind of paper are the pages on your sketchbook? I see the ink does not show on the other side of the page.

    Awesome work by the way!

  • hey what for a sketchbook did u use?

  • 1:02 oh snap!

  • Wow im stuned

  • Your work is imminently superior; we are not worthy. Just a quick question. Can you divulge the whole gamut of supplies used for this sketchbook please? Live long and prosper.

  • @UraniumAngel Thank you so much for all the kind comments. The materials I used for this sketchbook are primarily just two mediums: A think pen, usually a Pentel Stylo and a Pentel Water Brush. The second is a really nice brush pen with a refillable bladder, it's one of my favorites and gives you a FANTASTIC black when inking for filling in.

  • @UraniumAngel Take it easy, it's just a drawing. -Patrick Star-

  • MAC, WHY U NO DRAW HOT CHICKS? ಠ_ಠ

  • Do you use reference for some of these sketches?

  • Hey! Just wanted to know something. Why is it that you leave blank page at the beginning of each sketchbook and just leave it blank, and draw on the rest?

  • @AlpineWolf444,

It's the deep breath before the plunge.

  • @Cre8tivemark As if i didnt think you were cool enough by these amazing drawings i just stumbled upon, then you go and throw in a Lord of the Rings reference...unless its a coincidence. (Gandalf says it in Return of the King)

  • @Cre8tivemark I love how you can capture emotion in your characters with gestures and lines in your work when you use pen! Very strong personality in your work. Very good! My inking is never that vivid, what sort of ink do you use?

  • Hey guys,

Take a look and scroll down a bit and look for my comments. I'm sure I have answered some of them and many that are similar. If not, just let me know and I'll get back to you.

  • Outstanding work Sir!! I'd like to know how long it usually takes you to fill up a sketchbook of that size.

  • what kind of materials do u use?

  • dude you are awesome

  • thumbs up if u paused at the naked part

  • @G0th4ki guess your the only one perv lol :) just kidding i rewound

  • i don't see the point for all those blacks in a sketchbook

  • @TolFlame,

The blacks were used in one of two ways. The first way is to make a nice and clear silhouette by placing the items around the drawings to draw out the design of them internally as well as externally. The second was to practice inking and making the sketches more solidified drawings. Both are important but even better when they are done in conjunction with each other.

  • @Cre8tivemark

I ment mostly the blacks sourrounding the drawings.. Sometimes they seem to me more like a way to bring out the drawing, but i just dont see the point on that... I mean, the drawing doesnt change at all.

Anyway, there are great drawings there, i'm too critic allways :P

    Thanks for uploading these videos.

  • @Cre8tivemark i think there awsome every drawing you do inspires me to draw more and moreXD

  • @TolFlame Silhouette value. If a the silhouette of a drawing reads then the drawing will look better.

  • PixID4,

I have not had the chance to work directly with Nathan, but I would count myself lucky if I do . . . he is an incredible talent!

  • question: do u work with nathan fowkes?

  • Omg, I love your sketch books! Keep up the brilliant work, man. Can't wait to see more!

  • Wonderful work! I just wish you didn't flip through it so fast- I wouldn't mind the video being longer if we got to have a better look at some of the pages.

  • this is so awesome, thanks for sharing!

  • YAY! New video!

  • inspiring stuff thank you

  • I wish my sketches looked like good.

I also love how brush pens don't soak through the page.

  • wow..not even a single flaw in any of the pages...really amazing..sir can you tell me what type of pencil or sketch do you use..i cant get that kind of rich black with any of my sketches..

  • awesome! Thanks for sharing.

  • what do you use to sketch?

  • I hope you soon show us some more video processes of yours. thanks and well done, very inspirational.

  • Hello Mark, I wanted to ask you, how is it that you use all of that ink from the brush-pen yet each page is still crisp and without bleed-over marks (other than when you used an oil-based prisma marker) ? Did you use a cover sheet under each page you used the brush pen on or what? Btw, keep up the amazing posts! Love them for all the learning we can get from them.

  • Awesome!

  • Thumbs Up, You Bring Toons To A New Level

  • Wow

  • do you sketch with china markers at all?

  • Mac is the man. Very inspiring.

  • BEYOND AMAZING.

  • breathtaking

  • Very nice. Great idea using the sketchbook while another party is watching something you're not interested in. Sometimes it seems so selfish to constantly do something artistic, but using that time in a sketchbook would work out nicely. Guess it's another excuse to let the coach commando control the remote!
