Alright, I don't quite understand why people are so astonished with this. It's a double back tuck -- no twisting or anything. And from what I saw, she doesn't have to use much bodily power. She's got four buff guys throwing her up into the air. That's all the force she needs. Am I correct? I'm a Level 10 gymnast. I've never been involved in cheerleading. I just know how this relates to a round off-whip-double back tuck pass in gymnastics. So without flipping shit, could someone explain?

Anything that has you flipping in the air at high school level is illegal per UCA competition rules. Every state has its own set of regulations, but flipping in the air at high school level is a nation wide rule when it comes to competing. As far as college goes double backs are not legal either per NCAA rules and regulations. The only level that you can get away with stunts like that is Level 6 open all star teams. But even that is being more regulated every day. Still pretty bad ass though!

it's actually legal in high school. you just have to compete in a higher division. if you have male bases in your stunt almost anything is possible...

In acro, which cheerleading can be more easily compared to, a double is a relatively easy skill, performed by as low a level as level 9. There was an elite pair (yes, pair. One top, one base) a few years ago who could throw a triple pike.

It doesn't look fake at all... and it's not that fast... to be honest, her rotation is a little slow. The height takes care of that, but it'd be way to slow to do it any other way, say, in tumbling.
