man I hate how some people say Ryu has more Character than Kyo. How about Ryu the karate man? Reeks of a sellout character imo, best way to reel in the dough is to appeal to the masses. Best way to appeal through the masses is through simplicity.

Kyo broke the chains, his moves change as his personality does. Throughout playing KOF 94 to 99 it shows very clearly. Kyo is more dynamic than Ryu will ever be in 1000 lifetimes. Not that SF is a bad game, I like it. 3rd strike was stylish as hell.

@GreenTaylor7 Both characters are awesome, you got to admit. The only thing is that Ryu is waaaaay more iconic than Kyo... Ryu is legendary while Kyo is just well known. I have a lot of friends that don't play fighting games but they still know who Ryu is! But when I ask them about Kyo Kusanagi, they don't have a clue on what I'm talking about... sad world we're living in uh? XD

The SDMs in this game actually replace the DMs when you have low health. You don't need to use both punches or both kicks to pull them off.

thats cuz for kyo you have to previously beat the game with at LEAST 3 of these guys benimaru, kyo1/2, shingo, k, maxima. They must also be picked from the random box, you cant pick them individually(yeah, it'll take some time to get the actual 3 out 6 guys randomly). For iori, you gotta get at least 3: athena, bao, kasumi, leona, kim, jhun, or xiangfei

don't know about that bro... ryu is the man, and the only snk hero that's iconic as him is terry.

Ryo looks like a generic kung-fu guy.

His kicks,punches...everything about him is generic,boring and bland.

Fuck the character design,Kyo has money,bitches and can probably breath fire but doesn't,cuz he goes easy on the rest.

KoF has such a HUGE cast of characters that saying it took a turn for the worst on character design is stupid.

Last time I checked,Zangief,Blanka,Ryu,Ken­,E.Honda..etc.. weren't that great looking either.
