You may be referring to Turbo Teen. That came out sometime during the 80s. I haven't seen it but someone on DA commissioned me to do a turbo teen style TF one time.

A fan of Robot Chicken or Turbo Teen? Just saw it on youtube LoL, poor guy :0 I've only seen one other Robot Chicken (the star wars episode). I liked what I saw but I don't watch television. I did get interviewed by Adult Swim when I was in my draconian costume once but, well, I never got to see if it aired xD
