  • so here the winner is hobbytown? no problem just to understand

  • you guys are good at flying i cant keep my plane in the air for over 45 seconds lol!!

  • if you buy one of these micro planes keep in mind that the slightest wind makes it really hard to land them properly

  • how much thrust does it have?

  • you look like hitler

  • do u prefer big planes or micro ones like this well i wou;dnt call it micro but these sised planes

  • a sphincter says what?

  • i got my plane there and my losi mini desert truck there. it is a great store!

  • @theeverythinggeek828 i can fly!!!!

  • sir i'm buying t-28 ultra micro this coming dec 18, and i'm going to buy BNF version..and a dsm2 transmitter in the local hobby shop is it possible to bind ultra micro from parkzone with other transmitter?

  • you surely got some strong accent. makes it difficult for non-native-english speakers to understand what you say.

    come on!! lol

  • Hey will this bind with my JR SX600?

  • @flyfalcon91 have u got a Spektrum 2.4ghz DSM2 module for it?

  • The music really sucks, man!

  • Can you bind this plane to the transmitter that comes with theRTF Night Vapor?

  • @Rinocerente you can but it will fly somewhat twichy.

  • @Rinocerente yes!

  • Can you bind this plane with the transmitter that comes with the RTF Night Vapor (it says that it is DSM2, and I think it's 4 channels but it's only using 3)?

  • How do you lke the sukhoi? Does it fly good since its small? I looking to get my first Rc plance. Would you recommend this for a beginner?

  • @paulwilliamsd this plane is not for the beginner try the hobbyzone champ or super cub.

  • Good flight Dave! If you get a chance, look at my vid of the Sukhoi getting blown out by a Squall thrust vectored! Regards!

  • will it fly this good on all stock even stock battery?

    Cuz mine doesen`t

  • hi, I have just bought this plane, it climbs with maybe 20-40 degree angle.

The battery lastet for maybe 2 minutes (I tried with 130Mah 12C too, but the flying time was actualy less even though it had benn charged more recently)

    PLZ help!

    What can I do?

  • when you are landing on grass with thye weels of, does the tailweel fall of then?

  • hi. Does it hover?

What kind of batteries does it use, and what kind of batteries CAN it use?

  • Hi Dave. your all videos are outstanding and your skills too. I just wanna ask that i have flown some traniers like a 4ch f6f hellcat and a esky 4ch nemo. so i wanted to buy a ultra micro plane so should i by a eflite ultra micro 4site or the parkzone sukhoi su-26m which one you would recommend kindly reply plz thanks & rgds maxrisk

  • Im going to use the transmitter that comes with the parkzone ultra micro j3 cub rtf, the guys at hobbytown said itd work im hopin so

  • if its wind ,will the wind cause any problems

  • hobbytowns are awsome

  • is the ar6400 reciever a 4ch or 5ch reciver

  • how come hobbytown has everything but ducted fans

  • are these things any good for 3d flying or hovering or are they too standard for that?

  • i got this plane and it was broke out of the box

  • maaaan i wish i had a store like that where i am in canada

  • the hobbytown i go to. they have a place to test your rc cars in the store! if you want a small rc car they give you the one they own and you test it on that track! if you walk in the front door its right in front of you! no need to walk in the back!

  • my elevator stops working when my throttle is on... but when i take the throttle off it works fine? any ideas?

  • when my throttle is on my elevator stops working... you have to twich the control for it to react.... but when the throttle is off then it has no problem any ideas doctor dave?

  • Going to pick one up today!

  • looks like you'll have to get the SU-26XP now!!

    :P

  • k i have a question i have never flied and i am only 13 what do you guys think a pilot my age would set the throws to on my dx6 because once again i have 0 xp thanks

  • @alexandru315 Sounds like a good reason to go to a flying field and have someone show you the ins and outs of it.

  • Werbung Ende XD

  • how long does it take for the battery to charge?

  • im looking for a good brushless setup for mine, any suggestions and where to purchase? thanks!

  • well i had never flown a 4 Chanel plane before accept for on the flight simulators (which i am good at) and i can fly it fine

    ITS AWESOME!

  • Hi Dave, Nice video.

I want to get one to bind with my HP6DSM radio I hope it work great. Is there any wind when you were flying? It so really good there.

  • nice review im saving up for one

  • Some dude is selling me one for 35 bucks!

  • YES !!!! A MODE 2 Flyer just like me !!!

  • I have the Parkzone Ember which flies beutifully. I would like to move on the the Sukhoi Su-26m BNF but would you know if the transmetter I got with the Ember will work the the Sukhoi? It is a 4 channel unit even though the Ember only uses 3 channels.

  • got the plane today, its great!!

  • THX helped me with the setup.

  • Did he just say rocket fuel? lol

  • no he said Rocket THEN fuel

  • Great Video and review! Just picked one up today, Tommorow will be its maiden flight,. should be fun! thanks for the tips ->Do not land on AssFault as it causes "Wrecktum Problems". LOL

  • Does this plane work with the Blade MCX transmitter?

  • It does but they dont recomend it because it is alot harder to fly with that transmitter

  • @kxrider425 I tried it and it works fine. I don't know why they say it's "Not Recommended".

  • I've got a strong feeling that the ember transmitter will work with the sukhoi. Considering its the same transmitter that comes with the RTF sukhoi.

PS: If you want a small outside flyer, I would recommend the ultra micro p51, its a little faster, and a little more well built. I'd get it instead of the sukhoi, but thats my opinion.

  • The P51 vs Sukoi, is like apples to oranges.

One is a Stunt plane and the other a scale warbird.

I would recommend the Sukhoi, as it offers more flight options.

  • True, thanks for the correction. I was not aware of this when I posted this comment. But I think that the P51 is still faster. Am I right? Thats flat out speed I'm talking of.

  • @ashchetum

Yes the P51 in stock form is slightly faster, but if you replace the Sukhoi prop with a GWS, the speed is the same.

The props are different of both models

  • Thanks!

  • I agree. btw - The Sukhoi is now selling at 79.99 and a new Sukhoi version from parkzone is on the way.

  • i broke the rudder on mine into pieces. tape and super glue got it back flying. i lost my landing gear. i can't find them in my hobby store!!!

  • could the mcx heli changer work with that battery

  • Do you think that it's possible to fly the Sukhoi su 26m Parkzone without expo (with the spectrum dx5e for example)? if yes will it be difficult for an intermediate pilot?

    Thanks in advance.DAYFLIGHT1

  • assfault, HA!

  • i live in fremont CA and i live very close to a hobbytown USA

  • No way! Same here!

  • i live in the mission high area!

  • hey dave will this work with the lp5dsm controler from the blade cx2...thanx sean...

  • hey is that plane for beginers or is it an advanced plane to fly?

  • advanced

  • please tell me if you know

  • how do I bind it?????

  • hay night flyyer how do I bind my sukhoi to my dx5e remote??? please reply in a video

  • you need to by the dx5e kit with the ar5500 reciever

then you hold in the trainer switch while you turn on the transmitter

  • can bind the sukhio with the mcx radio

  • u can, but its not recommended

  • Nice flying Devil dog!

  • is it worth it?

  • r u going to get the parkzone ultra micro

    p-51d

  • they look realy cool but not as airobatic or fast as this apparently

  • if you have this plane, you really need to change the prop to a gws 5043. you will also need an adapter to make it fit. I am using zippy 350mah 20c battery and getting 15-17 minute flights. The battery and prop make this plane one heck of alot more fun. The prop will give you lots more power and its more durable and lower profile.. good plane great fu!

  • great video... i see these things at my lhs and always wanted to see one fly...might have to get one

  • can you use the dx 5 with this?

  • all of you it is not reccomended that you use the sukhoi with those radios at least a dx5e is re comended just to name a few, dx61, dx7,jrx9303, jr12x, realy any dsm2 system will work, and chances are, that yo need mutch more flight experiance, unless yo crash at least less than 1 in 6 vapor and ember flighs dont get this, and the mcx is soo easy i think get a fitst time plane first. if you are like me and you need this one next I wold reccomend getting an experenced instructer or a simmulator.

  • I just got one of these but I can't get it to bind to my Vapor transmitter. As soon as you plug battery into plane, the plane just has epileptic glitch episode. Never gets itself to calm down and flash light to start bind.

  • Great Review! I am thinking about getting one and i am not sure if i should get this or the cessna 210. I think i will get the Sukhoi tho. Do you think i will have any sucess with this if I have had experiance with the Vapor and Ember 2?

  • i guess you would be ok. vapours and embers r 3 channel but this is 4. if you havent used a 4 channel b4 it will be new but i thnk you'll handle it. you should also check out the ultra micro p-51d. same as this but not as fast or airobatic. looks better 2. either way you go you'll b ok

  • Hi! I have a Blade CX2, and I would like to know if it is possible to use its radio to control the Sukhoi. Thx.

  • That's funny, I was just thinking about this plane when I saw the thumbnail after I watched your review of the switchblade.

  • were can i buy it?

  • You can buy it at Amazon, Horizon Hobby, Red Rocket Hobby Shop just about any place that sells planes.

  • Man i want one now.lol. they look like there alot of fun,and you dont have to drive all the way to the flying field to do that.

  • I have a cessna centurion minium. would the transmitter work for this plane? anybody know?

  • don't know, have to look up the frequencies

  • Comment removed

  • we have one Hobby town usa store right next to house!!! picking up a airplane tomorrow !!!

  • i wish they had those in canada

  • very nice vid, as always, very informative. do you have to buy all the planes you do reviews on?

  • beginner?

  • Comment removed

  • Great Video Dave. I have only been flying for a few short months but I love my little sukhoi. I only have a DX5e, so I don't have the expo and other computer Tx features but it sure flies great.

  • Hey nightflyer,

I don't know if you saw this, but according to spektrum you should mount the battery at the rear most position. They have a nice set up on expos and d/r for this plane. Check it out on their website. I saw it when I was looking up info on my DX7

  • i love that place !!!!!!

  • Nice video. I would have had one yesterday had my sale with my MLST2 gone through but it didnt! So my main question is will my 4CH mcx transmitter or dads 5CH CX2 transmitter work temporarily until I can get enough money for a DX5e?

  • That wont work, due to the mixing built into the MCX stock TX, same with cx2. Sorry. Get a Dx6i and you will be in great shape for a long time.

  • Aight thanks. Well unfortunatley I won't have enough for a DX6i so I'll get a DX5e for now and eventually advance up when I get more helis and planes

  • what parts do mostly brake? is it stable ? im starting 3d airplane flyer so would it be good for me? please reply and thnx.

  • hey, can you make a detailed video on how to fly one of of these things, i just picked up a aerobird swift and i'm scared of crashing it

  • ha ha yea, i got an aerobird challenger about 5yrs. ago been crashed a bunch 3-4 wings and some tape still flys, oh and rubberbands ha ha ha , get some altitude full throttle easier to turn half throt, w/a little up stick keeps level on turn, no throt, slow controls will glide down, the range on mine is 2500 ft, plenty good, find a large open place and try not to be scared, i painted one half wing for orientation. control is backwards coming at ya. have fun!

  • ok, thanks a lot!!!!

  • @phoenixfire47 The new SU-26xp works with the mCX controller that I have.

  • DAM that remote is awesome

  • Sioux Falls is a great town. I have rollerbladed the path along the river. Spun the wheels on your skates there yourself?

  • Haha. Not there, but I skate at the carousel skate every Wed night, which is mostly adult night and fun. Come on down.

  • Got mine a few days ago and I love it. Removed the spinner and moved the pushrods for max throw. Batt as far back as possible. Great fun for the cash.

  • hey how much flying experience should i have before i can fly this

    thank you

    rockonmyfriend

  • hello, i have had a bit of experience with rc planes now i would say you would have to have a bit of experience not alot thought due to the size it will be harder to break than a lager airoplane it shoudelt be to hard to fly.

    thanx harveymacdonald

  • Real nice Dave you did a wonderful job

  • Can anyone tell me if parts from the Parkzone Vapor and or Ember will fit the Sukhoi, things like prop shaft, motor and prop? The last two part numbers are the same for each model and they look identical in the pics. Any help appreciated as I broke both props and have a suspect prop shaft but my LHS sez they cant get parts for the Sukhoi (but sold 20 aircraft in less than a week) They may have Vapor or Ember parts? Cheers and great review Guys..

  • The Vapor prop is to small, and the pitch is too shallow. The motor is about double the size, I think the gearbox is the same, the receiver/esc is 6 channels.

  • This little plane is nice.

Only really two drawbacks. One is the price... in today's market, $100 for molded foam and the skimpy electronics it has is really a lot of money with no Tx. And it's weight means no wind flying.

  • I normally would agree with both comments, but have flown this bird a few times in 10 - 15 mph winds, and crashed it about 20. All pilot error on grass with no landing gear,, (took a bit to get used to as its touchy on the controls) and it is suprisingly tough! I broke the prop 1 time but other than that , she has survived some nose down throttle up crashes and some where I have said "this cant be good" on my way to get it.... all with no need for repair.

  • why would you fly this in 15mph wind its weighs basically nothing

  • does just fine for me ... power/weight ratio seems to handle light to moderate winds.

  • This thing does not like wind AT ALL... It will fly, but it does so under protest.

  • skimpy electronics? have any idea what this stuff is worth even without the airframe? priceless. there is alot of technology pack in this foam plate.

  • Actually, $100 is relatively cheap. I would expect to buy each individual part for something like this (not actual retail).

    Charger ($10)

    Battery ($5)

    ESC ($10)

    3 servos ($25)

    Reciever ($30)

    Motor ($5)

All adds up to $85 if everything was sold "reasonably." $15 and you get the airframe with it for $100. It's a pretty good deal considering the liberties I took. Normally micro servos cost a LOT of money (like $40 for two).

  • there's like 2 months delay minimum to get this plane here.. :/

  • omg this plane is to die for. one of the coolest planes ive ever seen. i cant wait to get my hands on one.

  • I had to go get one of these after I saw the review. I have a cesna 182 that is just too big to backyard fly and had been looking for something smaller yet still capable of tricks. This plane is a perfect fit!! Battery life is amazing for so small. You can also pleasure cruise or do tricks , depending on your mood/location. Great review, great plane, thanks Dave and Jeff!

  • Yeah I broke the prop but my LHS decided it not necessary to bring in any spare parts for these planes so once the other breaks that's it for a while. Wish I had a LHS like yours who actually look after us. There is a bloke here on YT who has retro fitted another prop to the Sukhoi with good effect. I'm also using the DX6i which works well with the plane. Great review, thanks..

  • how would i use my dx5e with this?

    is it possible?

  • Yes, Just bind it.

  • hey Dave i got back into R/c flight, i want to get a camera mounted to a cx2 and go for a flight, but i wanted your opinion, would a 900Mhz wireless cam, or a 2.4xx Ghz camera function better?

  • Both will work fine, but weight could be a factor.

  • the cx2 can and has lifted two nine volt batteries, not to sound snide at all. I do change the pitch of the blades by twisting lightly for some extra lift, just in hauling and not run hard. my idea was to run the heli from the 9v as well as the camera

  • Dave. I am convinced that you can fly any rc aircraft. I have seen some videos of simulated helicopter slope soaring. Do you think it is possible? I don't fly my esky belt cp well enough yet to try it for real. Thanks for the great video's

  • Great job Dave!!! Nice fun flier

  • Yeah great video! i think its a nice break from the stiff an dvery formal Parkzone reviews. And also Very nice flying! great to see someone who is as interested in the hobby as i am!

  • lol u know each others names

  • I remember i bought one of these for 40€ Really fun to fly, until hawk comes and ruins ur fun ...

  • Very cool plane and great flying as usual, Dave! You just might get me to want to learn to fly planes yet! Jeff, your flight skills are improving dramatically and it really shows man! You are truly blessed to have access to such a great teacher! Great job!

  • nice Dave, I likey.

  • que lindo avioncito muy bueno ¿los regalan cuando compras caramelos ? jaaaa very good

  • nice dave woot i want one now hey question could an esc burn out a servo? and esc's arnt sposta get hot when there just running servos are they?

  • Looks like it needs to be slowed down with a thicker airfoil.

  • Best RC flight reviews on the net bar none... nice work Dave!

  • well will it fly in the living room or is it too fast?

  • My dad bought one and their a handful. we bought it 2 days ago and we already broke the prop. lol. It's a lot of fun though!! Thanks for the tips on how to adjust the ailrons from the servo cus on low rates it was still a handfull. KEEP UP THE GREAT VIDEOS!!! I LOVE THEM!!

  • does it hang on the prop like most 3D planes? sorry if you did that on the video and i just missed it

  • No. It is not a 3d plane, and is so light, it doesn't stay put long.

  • Gotta admit. Flies a lot faster than those Vapors ;)

  • Excellent Review! All newbies should view this. The only thing I disagree with is that we commonly don't get 8-12min of flight time. Most are averaging 5-6min.

  • prefer the radian

  • id say i was well worth the wait.. i waited 3 months and im glad i did

  • Wow is that a plane shop

  • pretty kewl lil flying machine.

  • I see you finally got one!!

  • nice airplane.

what would be different with a spectrum dx6i and the dx7? i realise the dx7 has an extra channel wich is what i want but are they both 2.4mhz and all? are they the same besides the extra channel?

please reply coz I am getting a new radio soon and i want it to last a long time.

    -thanks. Nater

  • They are both 2.4ghz radios. The dx7 is just a step up from the dx6i. They are both great radios so you wouldn't be disappointed with either one of them.

    Jeff

  • I just picked up mine today by some miracle--got the last one. It certainly is no joke why it ships with the extra prop. Luckily I saw your vid first and bought an extra on top of having the spare one. I broke it on the first landing. It seems to nose down quite a bit so I moved the battery all the way back. It was definately worth the $89 bucks.

  • yeah, the plane will not glide at all. You really have to have power to keep it from nosing down.

  • Just got mine today. I was thinking even before I saw this video that you would want to fly it in medium length grass and hand launch only to start out with. Luckily that's what I did and the plane is extremely resistant to mild crashes as long as it's in the grass. MUCH more maneuverable than the Vapor. It feels like flying a tiny Typhoon 2 3d.

  • I agree. It is kinda like flying a mini Typhoon.

  • that is one light plane

  • wow thats a very nice store

  • great vid gave..honestly is it worth the price tag/ i would like to see it drop down to 70 80 range. you?

  • wow saw this at a local hobby shop, looks like a good buy

  • hey i got a request can you review the airhogs f/a-18 hornet please i am a big fan of your videos and if you do my request i will be honorde.
