Sprint is a primary investor in Clear, but they don't own the spectrum. Clear does! LTE will not hurt Clear at all. They already have their infrastructure rolled out and can change to LTE if needed or operate both. Wimax 2 is being tested and rolled out in other countries, so Clear has a bright future. And Clears 4G unlimited service has no cap. Where are you getting this information from?

What device are you using to compare those speeds. I have an HTC Evo and a Samsung Epic. I also have an S-series dual mode and a clearspot 4G+. Post up your speed tests and show the world. I have seen speeds of 8 mb dl with my clearspot 4G+ and faster with M series home modem. Plus they are using the same technology , towers and similar equipment. So if one sucks, the other sucks just as bad. Update your firmware or software or get a faster pc.

That test proves nothing. I would love to know if you are experiencing what most people are? I've seen people praise their service with clear. They seem to be more knowledgeable about the things they purchase also ( they know the positive as well as the negative features). You are telling the world that it worked fine for several days and then you show a clip of when it is not working. Your speed issue could be caused by your pc or another device attached to the modem. Show more.

Clear has not struck out with wimax. Kansas City, Boston, and several other cities are going live as we speak. Clear has no definite plans to change to LTE. They are just making the public aware of their ability to be versatile, if needed. LTE is here via MetroPCS and the tests are not enough to sway the masses yet. Besides, Sprint has attached themselves to wimax, riding the clear wave. Along with Intel, Motorola and Samsung for the new Wimax 2 service coming in 2012.

You don't seem to understand that 4G and WiMax are the same thing. It's called Clear and has nothing to do with 3G. It's a totally different standard. If you have Sprint 4G, you have WiMax (which is the technology like WiFi only with greater distance and capacity!

I have a friend kevin, in Portland w/ Sprint Clear service & he gets 9Mb/s. I'm on Time Warner cable & pay $60 for Turbo Service. What do I get? 3Mb/s at most & I recently had a problem w/ that dropping to 100kb/s speeds.
I thought it was my router, it tested fine. TW said modem was good. Kevin said he'd heard of Clear modems w/ same problem.
Got pissed & took it in 4 a replacement anyway. Haven't had a problem since w/ 5Mb/s at nearly twice the price of his Clear service! U had a Bad Modem!
wow, i thought i was the only person who was getting slow connection from clear, they sucks, its the worst internet service. i try the speed test and it give me 1 mbs whick is slow, i cant even play online games on my ps3 because the connection is too slow. im calling them tomorrow to turn it off.
I'm not trying to be smart, but Sprint 4G is their WiMax 4G and it's the only 4G wireless available w/ no cap in the entire country!

I am a clear contractor and have had this happen to some of my customers before and you it seems have a broken modem. Try exchanging it and then post the results plz.

Clear is changing to (LTE) technology because they struck out on the Wimax technology, not enough support. Wath Verizon and ATT , LTE is coming out.
