So if I understand this at each level you gain, you have a new skill that you cannot decide. If you're level 8 and you're upgading to level 9 a new skill will atomaticly go in you're active skill.

@ThatDudd33 The beta is basically a stage where players can test out the game to find any bugs or glitches so that Blizzard can fix it. It's very rare that Blizzard would add more skills when players have that many skills to use already.

Also to combat the commentary/death thing, prerecord the video and add commentary later. It may not sound very good, but it lets you focus more on the game and less on the commentary. Hope this helps.

I've just watched the first 6 min, but I think that it's kind of shitty that the monk can wield a staff, but doesn't use it for fighting? I mean, he's GOT a staff, sometimes in his hands and sometimes on his back, and he doesn't use it :/ It would be much cooler with some nice flashy staff animations. I thought there would be different animations for each skill and with each weapon type.

@Rokturoth The characters operate differently now. That probably won't help your addiction. The monk CAN spam the tail kick now... there is no cooldown. You can't swap abilities on the fly like he is doing anymore either you have to use the shrines located around the area.

noob question but I have yet to see anything about parties, raids, guilds, etc....is this only a single player game or is it an MMO? I heard about real money auction houses so I assumed it was like WoW. Is it just that the beta is only single player? I love playing support characters so I can't wait to see some raiding and group fighting footage.

@exjrain It's an online game..you can create private games and play with strictly friends or yourself, or make public games in which anyone can join. I believe the max amount of players per game is only 4 though. As far as "raids", Diablo 3 isn't WoW. Players will consistently re-run the same dungeons and areas killing bosses in the search for loot and stuff, but there aren't raids. There are 4 increasingly hard difficulties which unlock higher level items. Areas have randomly spawning content.

The first time I heard about Diablo 3, I was looking forward to play with a paladin-like class, and despite that class didn't show up in this game, the monk caught my attention quite a bit, as well as the witch-doctor. Nah, no paladins here, but hey, the monk is just the kind of class I'm looking for: melee based, mixed with some (sort of) passive buffs and quite decent spells (well, "spirit" based moves). Besides, I like how that spirit spender, spirit generator system works.

Think the mantras should be activated like the auras on paladin. Seems illogical that one should hit the mantra on after 120 secs when the cd is 30 secs long, why not make it permanent rather than make u waste a hotkey on it. The only reason not to make mantras function so is that they would permit the stacking and using of multiple different mantras on either one or more monks. Meaning that one monk could spam (7 is it?) different mantras at any given time (dunno if there is that many tbh).

@PaskaMuuli That's exactly why they added the CD. So you couldnt spam the mantras when necessary. Just to add a different mechanic than just switching back and forth. Makes you have to make a decision and stick with it for a while. And the idea of having multiple mantras up is retarded imo. Seems pretty OP, as well.

Have you not been following Diablo 3? There's much more variation and importance in different areas than was ever imaginable in Diablo 2. You will not be disappointed in that regard, trust me.

Basically, the skills level with you. Every few levels, you get an automatic +1 to certain skills. From there, you diversify through gear and runes which alter the skills in significant ways.

First of all,what is damage per second-the relation between dmg and atk. speed.As the monk is using fast punches you don't need that much of atk. speed to deal a lot of dmg. What happens if you find a weapon that deals great dmg but the atk. speed is like 0.70. You see that the dmg per second is less than your faster but weaker weapon(as of 'damage') and ditch it, or would you?

I think that will be the right way to choose a weapon for the Monk. But I'm not a beta tester, so what's your thought?

You keep saying the weapon uses the percentage of the skill... Yes, the Wooden Bo is better. You are paying much attention to the dmg/second and this is not all the way to judge, I think. The sword + hand wrap is total of 4-8 dmg as the wooden boo is 5-10. I suspect that later in the game the Character Statistics that you used to verify your right set of weapons will not be in favor of decision of what you wear as dmg dealing weapons. Why?
