Well this is Theodores last year on his contract. His 5-4-4 record is a little misleading, he's fallen off recently but he has been playing great this season. Varly will be our franchise goaltender next season im sure. Cut Theo some slack. The Caps style of play often leaves the goalie out to dry.

They don't want to overwork Varlamov, if a golaie is worked too much in the season, they struggle in the playoffs, look at Miika Kippersoff on the Flames.
Actually, in most cases, I'd imagine it's easier to score on the backhand. Majority of people catch left-handed and shoot right-handed. For goalies, that means they have a leftie stick, meaning their forehand might be a backhand with the stick. Plus it's less awkward to turn to backhand and shoot with your blocker halfway down the stick.

We had the most players injured throughout the season of any team, and that included all of our stars at some point.
