I don't completely agree with Bouns but you seem to have missed the point...crime and war are not of same nature in terms of havoc they wreack in a society.But any way.From 1965 to 1996 Congo/Zaire was a "peaceful" country ruled by a western established kleptocracratic dictatorship.Its minerals did only benefit western corporations...while millions of Congolese starved and died of treatable diseases just like today.If all westerners left Congo in 1960 there'd be no war today.

Here are some key to solving the crisis in the great lake region:

1/ The West should once for all leave the Congolese solve their own problems: No more Louis Michel, UN, etc. A very good example is the National conference held in the 90's

2/ Kagame should come clean and tell exactly what he wants. If it's about a vital space to accommodate his peers, well we're african and we can find a way.

3/ Spare the congolese people with the kabila saga 'cause it's a fairy tail.
