I got through the game and what killed me most wasnt the dizzying falls, the stagnant water, the horrific spider or the gruesome saws...but the FUCKING BOXES LANDING ON ME!
that's so wierd : the part which starts @ 07:14 with both magnets and two containers no matter how many times a try different variations IT DOESN'T Work I mean both containers are stuck into the ceiling at the same time !?? WTF ?
@MrLiohman Found the solution: the second container takes a moment longer to fly so switch the gravity off after a few moments before the 2nd container sticks to the ceiling
This game gives trial and error a whole new meaning. I mean, the three words sum up the whole fucking game. It was fun for like 30 minutes, afterwards, it just started pissing the fuck out of me. Fuck this game and those people who could it art.
@jlmdfnbo It might feel like a trial and error game at first, but the puzzles get much more inventive later on. You'd be surprised how many traps you can avoid if you pay attention
One of the most challenging and yet very fun game I've ever played. Unlike the main stream games nowadays, this one actually requires a brain to play!
What's amazing is that the game exploits the physics (inertia)... more so than other big titles with much more sophisticated physic engines (havok, unreal, etc).
@k1awdttt One annoying thing though is if you are standing still and jump straight up, you cannot inch forward in the air a little. Realistic I suppose, but I'm so conditioned to Platform Game Physics now.....
@kdreamland That's why designing a fun and realistic game is hard. You can make a game very difficult, yes, like Super Meat Ball's Pink Valley. But that kind of difficulty is downright cheap.
The big developers spend millions on those "ultra-realistic" engines, and then they ruin the game with cheap challenges and bad action scripts. If an indie company can do it, and get a popular game that sells well, there's no excuses for the big players to not do it.
@doctorseaweed2 Portal 2 wasn't out when Limbo was available (Portal and Trine were, but still). Value is a big company and they have tons of cash to burn (Steam!). This game was made by a previously unknown indie game company, Playdead, with a team of 16 staffs at max. NONE of the big game companies could have achieve that.
@k1awdttt you do know it's named valve not value right? and valve did also start out small like this games company did, they all did, and valve only have ``tons of cash to burn´´ because of their hard and dedicated work to create fun, exiting and challenging games for us to buy. steam was just their way of connecting people online through their games (+the other companies games)
@Mortjep9530 It was a typo, my bad. I also understand your point with Valve starting out small, made some great games, and now became successful... so why do you make Playdead starting out small like them sounds like a bad thing?
I also support Steam, mind you. But it doesn't change the fact that Valve IS generating good profit with it.
@Mortjep9530 According to wiki, the game totaled $7.5 million as of 2010. Consider the game is mainly made by two guys + some staff, they did well. Limbo is no Minecraft, but 7.5 mil still is more than what most people make in a life time. Now look over to Dead Rising 2...
@k1awdttt Ever played Darksiders? That is a puzzle challenger worthy of note. I sat and played this and finished it and it did not nothing but piss me off, shit game, waste of money.
@LondoStrife210 Yeah I played Darksiders. It was a good game. But this is also a good game as well. Save your shit talking for other fanboys. I'm sure they'd appreciate it better than I do.
@k1awdttt I hope you do realise that i am not a fanboy. I own every console that has ever existed and i have over 400 games in my collection, do not call me a fanboy, my dad creates the games you would be playing nowadays.
@LondoStrife210 But you sounded like one. I respect your opinion, but blatantly calling a game that many people enjoyed a shit game is a... poor choice of words, to say the least.
And your dad is your dad. If he's cool, I'd give HIM my respect.

you must switch directly after the 1st platform sticks on top to prevent the second platform to stick

@kdreamland No official ost. But someone ripped the soundtracks. Just look up "Limbo Soundtrack" for it.
