The book was great but the movie was only fair. It was set in Black Oak not in Oak Park as stated in "more info".

ive come so strayed from my southren roots but this movie reminds me why im proud to be from lepanto...and i smile everytime i walk down mainstreet

My son and I were extras in this movie. It was filmed in the small towns around where i was from. The house is now a museum in my hometown. Lepanto Ar. So if you ever find yourselves in the middle of nowhere, you can check out the house and all the great memorabilia!
