@GETechHead They were going off, intermintently, because my burglar alarm probably had a heart attack. They start up again at 0:35 its that annoying beeping sound
@Aragon159 Lolll Oh okk that had to be hell lol and it even looks like at the end of the video you just stop moving to get a break from the alarms lol
@zachmamaw Its a high frequency internal siren (screamer). It produces a sound which is intolerable to the human ear and is designed to repel intruders from within the home. Every alarm system installed in Aus has one.
@nicolaj0154 Must've been, alot of the alarms in my street are monitored by ADT and im guessing they've sold the same system to everyone, but obviously with a different siren haha
@Oohheellllnnoo It went on for only a few minutes because the alarm just turns off after a certain time, it was during the day so everyone was at work. But the power kept on coming back on and off again so it happened all throughout the day
in america most sirens arent outside, if they are they are hidden in the attic. most of the people in my neighborhood had their alarm disconnected a longgggggg time ago, only one alarm we could hear has ever went off in our neighborhood but they werent home so it kept going off for ever!
@Oohheellllnnoo Yer i know :) , my family lives in the states and they have all have ADT systems or alarm of america. Here though, its like an industry standard to have the external siren and strobe. Not one alarm company sells them without it. And its not that it makes your neighbours know, it does. But its also a really really good deterrent, it shows would be thieves that the home is protected
@Aragon159 but we have signs in our front yards and stickers on doors and windows, at my house we have a sticker on our front door, garage door, and back door and a sign in the front yard, we used to have a flashing light/siren on the side of our house, but something went wrong and it went off whenever we walked in the living room (where the motion sensor is) it would go off.
@Oohheellllnnoo yer we have stickers too and a yard sign, but the two go hand in hand. Here, if there is just the strobe and siren, a thief will know that its unmonitored. Stickers alone, the thief would think that they're bull shit stickers. But the strobe and stickers together make it a legit deterrent.
@Aragon159 yea, by where i live most of the alarms were installed around when the homes were built and are sooo outdated and not monitored but they keep the signs even though they look really old, if they are monitored then they are replaced every now and then
@ry4n0007 damnn, wouldnt want to break into your place! haha. This video is my old security system. We now have 4 interior sirens (that annoying beeping sound) and 2 exterior, one in the same place as in this video, that siren box with blue strobe, but it sounds much better and one above the garage, but its not in a box its just the bare siren hidden under the eves. pretty loud
That happened all over Perth after the hail storm. I remember I had low power so the lights only came on half as bright and to watch tv we had to turn off everything else. Can u imagine how many calls the monitoring companies must have got?
a flamin pidgeon only needs to break wind and our burglar alarm goes off :/
