The clown sleeps in full costume? Wouldn't that render the outfit too wrinkled the next day, even for a clown? And sleeping with all that makeup on cannot be healthy! Besides, the facepaint would have smudged and run overnight, from sweatiness resulting from wearing that heavy costume to bed.
