  • what was the total cost of this build? for shell and all parts...looking at building a fund for a build of my own

  • @twistyfish Hard to say, because we rebuild it and didn´t bought a lot new.

You get used cars like this for 10000-15000 Euro.

Building your own cost a lot more.

  • what are the engine specs on that and is it stock?

  • @NickMercurio This a N group car, you can't make a lot of modification on the motor =)

  • @NickMercurio around 140PS

  • Now i will feel bad for all the rally crashes, after watching the amount of time & effort put into these machines.

  • Truly amazing.

  • brrrrrrrf......incredible...¡¡

  • Comment removed

  • How much power are you expecting?

  • @Heco94 It had about 140 PS

  • and now where is the video of the beast in action?

  • @mclilizz pretty much all the vids on this channel until 2009

  • beautiful car. and why would someone dislike this video? these guys made this thing from scratch

  • this is a Citroen right?.... o wait it says it right there... lulz

  • great work :)

  • so do you guys get money or free parts from you sponsors if you win?

  • Awesome Vid, thanks for the upload. Looks like the cage ties into the strut mounts under the windshield?

It's amazing your attention to detail on a car thats gonna get the snot beaten out of it.

  • No turbo? :(

  • Nice dress ;)

  • not to keen on the colours kind of reminds me of a bumble bee, lol. great job on the build though.

  • @82coxy Whats wrong with a bumble bee? :-)

  • Great work and video..

  • @RallyeGermany what are the modifications allowed for group n?

  • nice but how i am a rally driver my self and it took me longer lol

  • That was one of the fastest engine drops i've ever seen in my life. Was all the mounts all ordered and ready or custom made to fit?

  • nice

  • And i thought Evo engines were turboed.... wtf!!!!

  • very nice job guys ;)

  • @whitaker4973 This is a group N Car. Standard manifold is required.

  • @whitaker4973 oooo bitch you just got served!

  • Ken block made an account 4 times to dislike this video!

  • @1FMF2 he made a fifth

  • the 4 dislikes are NASCAR fans

  • @RallyeGermany If i myself make a rollcage will it fail inspection? Or do i need to get 1 from a company.

  • @TheDriver713 Not necessarily. In Germany for instance, there are special rules for self made cages, which are usually much harder than a certificated cage. Go to your countries Motorsport Association website for informations.

My recommendation: If there is a certificated cage for your car, take that one. You will save time, nerves and probably weight.

  • @TheDriver713 if you are in america a roll cage will not fail inspection.. before you make a cage look at either the SCCA, or NHRA for the specs if you plan to race. DO NOT BUY a cage. typically speaking the ones you can buy are worthless...

  • @TheDriver713 just follow appendix J regulations from fia (federation internationale de l'automobile)

  • @TheDriver713 All this guy bought was a bunch of pre bent tubes. A cage isnt certified until after it is installed and welded. The design has to meet certain requirements, as well as the diameter, wall thickness and type of tubing used. If you have a tube bender, there is absolutely no reason to pay someone else to prebend it for you. Then again, if you are asking this question its likely you dont have the resources at your disposal to build the cage yourself.

  • @TheSelfIndulgence ppcmag.co.uk if you use the forum on there they will hewlp big time. i guess your after a modified car. best to check the regulations to make sure you will be given a logbook for the car cant rally without one and sometimes the engine car combinations arent allowed you can ask me if you have any other questions too i built my own rally car in ireland and its pretty close rules wise

  • @TheSelfIndulgence Sorry, i have no clue about the english Rallyscene. All i know is that your clubrally-system is pretty different from the german one. Join your local motosport club, i guess they can help you.

  • @TheSelfIndulgence the e30´s are very popular rally cars here in Germany, especially the 318. There´s a cup - w w w . rg318is.de - you contact them if you want to build a rally car. Dont waste they time with street cars. Audi is seldom. Maybe w w w .4-rallye.de can help. Again only for rally cars.

  • AWESOME!!!!

That car is clean, good effing work.

  • How many memory cards, and (GB) is used to record this video?

  • @kng6666 It was Mini-DV and around 30 hours. I did not cover everything, for instance the paint job. On disk it was around 350GB(~12gb per hour).

  • this is the best kind of stuff to watch

  • i weld in rollcages, exhaust, body parts at the local shop her in my town but its the only thing i know how to do LOL

  • dat waz sweeeettt...!!!!u guyz should start sum kinda tv show...!!!

  • i would like to know, how much will it cost, for part and labor. thanks

  • @qi1f Parts, you can find here (106) peugeotsport-racingshop . com. Labor??? Everyone worked for free - better don´t count the hours.

  • Germans using a French car? Disgrace.

  • @dhyantube Unfortunately no german company is building rally cars these days, but all 3 french companies - hats up to them.

  • @RallyeGermany french are good at rallying but on race tracks germans are better

  • staedtler is german

  • those type of videos use to be F____ boring. i use to see 30 sec of them... i saw the whole this!!! good work.

  • im working on putting the sti ej short block into a geo tracker....its gonna be a nasty offroad car

  • When I saw the car getting yellow and black, I thought it was really ugly... But in the end, with the Staedtler stickers on it, I thought it was so original! The car is supposed to look like a Staedtler pencil! :)

  • Joder, me estaba gustando hasta que vi como le ponían la luna con el retrovisor aún pegado y el ambientador de pino aún colgando!!!!!!!!!! joder que asco.

  • nice V1 engine

  • I know is mandatory to have the knowledge on how to weld, knowledge in electric system, have the space to work, proper tools, some help and GOD know what else, but Jesus in Heaven i would love to do that to my future car some day!!!

    &

it would be awesome to find a video where mechanics explain what type of material and tools they use and how they make the changes of the car step by step, would be awesome.

    Thanks for your video.

  • ummm wow

  • simply WOW

  • gorgeous!

  • omg 2 days :O

My dad build a car for about 5 mounth

  • My brother, Dad and me had a 6 cyl from pistons out to running in under 45 minutes. So 10 days is believeable. Helps to have th right tools (e.g. hoists) etc. and the know how.

  • gosh I would kill to work for these guys...

  • @BARCDAEH Please don´t -:)

  • @RallyeGermany uuummm too late...

  • GOOD JOB guys....

    i dont like the car...

but your work was fantastic... great fabrication skills... and always under pressure... i like it and respect it...

keep up the good work... again... FANTASTIC FAB SKILLS... good job!!!!!!

    thumbs up!!!!

  • @RallyeGermany yes it easy once you know how and saves time

  • What's the duct tape on the windshield for?

  • @Theriomalstrom It holds the winshield in position until the glue is dry

  • @RallyeGermany

    hallo

  • did that he weld the whole cage one handed?!

  • @kaymanclark yes its easy when you know how and saves time

  • @kaymanclark Yes, he is a motor mechanic.

  • i wouldnt's give the car a logbook if i was a scrutineer, FIA regs stage the cage needs to be a triangulated box section at the cross over point of the cage!!

  • @nikkiy99 It was a Fia approved Sparco cage and we took part with it at the WRC Rallye Deutschland 2006.

  • Nice one guys...now to watch some stages :-)

  • Awesome video! Is there any video of the car on the stages?

  • @rallikid Yes - look in my Channel. There are called rallye saxo (can´t link them, dunno why)

  • nice video dudz!! love the car :)

  • lol @ the pre-fitted wunderbaum in the windshield.

  • so sick

  • loll staedtler are the best erasers!!!

  • it so really good job !!!! this video is best ever thanks guys

  • Wow! It looks very easy!

    Awesome job!

  • @poisnonsei are you mortal drunk, it might look very easy to you but bet you it is very hard work.

  • Nice, good video.

  • Well, everything in the video happened in ten days. Which part of building a rally car do you miss, if starting with a regular chassis isn´t the beginning?

  • Taking it apart?

  • It was a fresh chassis, not an old car and the old rally car you can see in the backround was taken apart simultaneously when we needed the parts.

  • i dos not show people ho to build a rally car

  • brilliant

  • thats awsome
