Hey, I currently have a P180.. buts its quite a boring case. How well do you find your Gigabyte Aurora 570 cools components? Is its ventilation good. Id just be using the normal fans and not water cooling. Id be running a Q6600 and 8800gtx so they are fairly hot components.
im trying to get hold of some at the moment, i use XSPC 1/2" at the moment and the Feser 1 Dye has faded the tubing so i will more than likely drain my system and change it to black.
The rig is awesome love the most black look but why did you get a Intel X975 chipset. Sure it might be black but so is a EVGA/XFX/BFG nForce 680i and you can SLi. Also think of getting a waterblock for that 8800GT make it match even more.
Well, when I first build the rig, the 975x was the newest chipset out.
Also, the rig originally started out as ati based and the great thing about the 975x chipset is that it supports both sli and crossfire through the use of modded nvidia drivers.
The 8800gt is water cooled with an Aquaxtreme MP-1 Gpu block.
Black is BORING!

what type of paint did you use, and how many layers?
Dylmoo 2 years ago
Paint is shown in the video.
Rustoleum Flat Black paint.
Did 2 relatively light coats, wasn't really worried about durability as the inside of the case doesn't see much abuse.

How loud is that pump? I'm thinking of buying it for christmas.

do these cases keep your pc pretty cool?
MIXMASTAPWN 3 years ago
Well the case is alright in terms of airflow.
It was really designed for water cooling.

If i buy a MSI 975X PLATINUM PE and q6600 do you thing it can hold me for another 3 years .... with 800mhz ram... 4gb's
MXhm91 3 years ago 2
The problem with the 975x chipset is that it will not allow you to overclock that q6600 as far as more current boards available.
You would be better off picking up one of the p35, or x38 boards.

Well being thats the cpu and gpu are water cooling everything runs fairly cool.
Air circulation could be a little better with a traditional heatsink/fan on the processor, and higher cfm fans.
The ones I use presently are quite quiet but don't move quite as much air as id like.

nice man, the black gives it such a nice look !

Great system! I think you should have went with clear Tygon with UV coolant. The black Tygon seems to blend in too much with the case.
mhwwdman 4 years ago 2
Had used clear tygon before and didn't like having to deal with growth in the loop.
I also wanted to go for a muted industrial style case.
I like the fact that it doesn't light up the entire neighborhood and I really like the blacked out look.
Thanks for your thoughts!

Nice build, i liked the tubing was it Neopyrene? or just normal Tygon black hose?
Samage89 4 years ago
Its actually a type of Tygon tubing made of a material called norprene. Its stiffer than neoprene and holds up to all kinds of chemicals.
The name for it is Tygon A-60-G the particular type I used was designed for the food service industry.

The song is indeed A View To a Kill by Duran Duran if I remember correctly.
The 8800gt is an awesome card. Works great and It will run crysis at 1680x1050 at med to high resolutions.
Thanks for looking!
