Reminicent of Bill Murray, felt compelled to add my 2 cents in on how effective this guys passion translates on You-Tube. It was a refreshing perspective to hear from someone that isn't sugar-coating the issue. The truth is, the people have been led astray from the consitution on so many angles that they have forgotten. The real hurdle, isn't that we can't reach the people, it's that the people won't understand when we do.
dude ,voting is just not going to be enough!we the people must join in civil disobedience, for this to happen ,the bush admin will not sit by and allow their hard work over the last 10 years slip though the cracks.they r pulling out the stops now !executive order nspd51 and hspd20 are desighned to do just this.the government has engaged in terrorism itself to pass these laws .they would do it again.
All of the politicians that were in on that whole deal were in on it for political points Hoping to get the Black vote .. thinking that the Black community would be so easily flattered. I think that we the people are a lot smarter than that. Thank You Ron Paul for using your Brain.
Yeah I had just finished up reading that a month ago. here is the whole Davie Crockett story its a good read. it is written in dated tongue but well worth the read.
Big government= more corruption, less rights, MORE taxes, more debt, more inflation, and more spending.
Limit government( like our constitution says)= much less corruption, less taxes, no need for income tax, no inflation, job gets done better at the state level, and we don't lose our rights.
Its a good point. Because then congress can vote on giving awards to anyone and then use the results for political purposes... just like they have done against Ron Paul. You could have a congressional vote to give a controversial figure an award, and those voting for or against the award, could be given negative attention. I think Rosa Parks deserved the award, but it was unconstitutional.
Get rid of the income tax. Yes, but there would still be a flat tax probably on goods, materials and services. A few countries work like this and is proving really good.
I understand Dr. Pauls position on getting rid of INCOME TAX but wouldn't other taxes need to be raised to cover what INCOME TAX covers now? Like our representatives and the military?
Not if we ended foreign aid. Let the rest of the world take care of themselves. It was never the intention of the founding fathers that the United States should subsidize the rest of the world.
I agree about the foreign aid. We do promise money to a lot of nations for aid, yet we are so broke right now, it's just that..a promise. We borrow from other nations to make our day to day expenses, there is no surplus to give away. Aside from that, there is going to have to be some kind of tax to replace the income tax. What that will be is still up in the air.
Boomer, we promise alot of foreign aid with corporate strings attached! The money is not for the poor people of a particular country, but for the development of mines, oil fields, etc by US corporations! Why do my taxes have to pay for Corporate Welfare, let the corporations do their own bidding with foreign countries...I don't benefit from Corporate Welfare! Nor do you, think about it!
There is some of that going on, for sure. Even here in America..look at Katrina rebuilding. I agree and I'm not advocating we should give money to the poor of the world, or starving, or underdeveloped countries from our tax dollars. There are plenty of charity organizations that can handle that. All I'm saying was that it's paper we promise nothing else, just paper. We would have to borrow from China to give to our corporations..our pockets are empty.
Hey Boomer, I agree with you...our pockets are empty, our money system is "thin air".....and we are the biggest debtor and consumer nation/capita in the world. Can this lead to good things? Undoubtedly not!
ever heard "Aim for the stars, land on the moon" ? This is a phrase successful people use to overshoot, to fail in a good spot. Less taxes would be great. If you did some research on what our government wastes our money on, you'd see where Paul is coming from.
I agree, we waste a lot of money on the military industrial complex and those industries who use it to their profit, such as KBR. But still, we can't just do away with the IRS and income tax. I don't believe we can, without replacing, at least part of it with a new system.
The current "Income Tax" ONLY pays the interest on the National Debt. It pays nothing else. What is the national debt? It is what we owe the FEDERAL RESERVE (a PRIVATE bank). If you mail a check in to the "government" for taxes, see who endorsed it - the FED! Lose the FED - Lose the IRS.
Where in the Constitution does it say congress may not use federal money to fund an award? Article I doesn't put many limits on Congressional spending.
Article 1, section 8 of the constitution enumerates the responsibilities of the federal congress and it does not include issuing medals, and especially does not include spending federal money on it.
Pretty good video buddy. The 50,000 page law that explains income tax says they are voluntary. You don't have to pay them but you can if you want(they suggest that you do). Just like when you go to church you don't have to put any money in the dish but it would be nice of ya! We have been robbed by deception.
I head Paul say that the "inflation tax" is the most insidious. I'm sure income tax is a close second if he does think this.
I think inflation - caused by printing too much money - is insidious. It's lying, whereas at least the F.I.T. tells everyone what they take.
With inflation, the government has a credit card, that the rest of us have to pay off later, with interest.
Talk about irresponsible management of money. As far as I'm concerned, they're all FIRED!
