gah! I freaking love this! FE 9/10 are hands down my favorite games of the series. Also original Japanese voicing FTW!!! I absolutely could NOT STAND the english voicing even before I heard this. Even though I speak very little Japanese the emotion that they portray in their voices is amazing. This just confirms my belief that good english voiceovers are becoming increasingly harder and harder to find.

They're the same game. Path of Radiance is the American title of the game. Blue Flame is the Japanese title.

I think Elincia's Japanese voice is better. Throughout the game I had a voice set in my head and then this scene came and she sounded like a valley girl. DX Her Japanese voice is much more like I imagined her to sound.

all n00b-posing aside, I honestly like the English voices a bit better than the Japanese counterparts. It may be that I played the game in English before looking up the Japanese cutscenes or it may be that I can actually understand English VA, but the English voices seem to fit their characters a bit more than the Japanese "Generic anime hero" Ike and "generic anime selfless girl" Elincia. I apologize if my opinion offends any of the Japanese purists, but it's just an opinion, nothing more. ^_^

I get what you mean but I still prefer the Japanese voices. The emotion in them is just portrayed so much better. I think Ike needs a deeper voice in the Japanese one, but it's overall it's still better imo. I think the one voice in the English version that is better is the Black Knight's, but the Black Knight is really hard to understand in the English one :[.

The problem with English sub is that the voices and feelings are not matching and emotional. There were no feeling or emotion for the situation in the voices, and the voices themselves are terrible, too. In other word, they sounded so fake.
