  • everybody's a critic...

  • I really don't understand what you say because of the background music...

  • I like the set up, bro! It seems that everybody wanna be a critic these days. But I guess that's why you posted the video, huh? Keep doin what you're doin man and forget the naysayers!!

  • nice we are in the process of moving again we have a nice little studio to for a little different purpose but have been toying with the ideal of put in a recording studio to cut cd,s for local musicians agian and for people who want a demo cd with max quality features to make a max quality difference no body wants to hear static back ground noise talking the radio or television reverb echo distortion the cleaner your sound track the more people will like it

  • Wheres the studio?

  • I seriously need something as compact as this except I have a 32 "inch flat screen attached to my 21.5 inch Imac and a avid artist serious mixer with 2 krk 5's & small audiobox USB and axiom pro 61key piano looking into getting the second half to the avid board as well and getting more interfaces. any idea what i should do??

  • like it mate ive got a set up aswel onky problem iv got is getting an interface to connect to ma mixer

  • nice stuff =)

  • can you tell me what is that pc chassis you have, it is awesome, i can't hear because of music

  • Decent little home studio set up, good gear. All thats missing is some acoustic dampening/foam, then you should be fine for monitoring.

  • All you got to do is clean up the cords..

  • I wouldnt Phuck with any of that equipment,

  • those Mackie mixer run on pro tools with the Mbox ?

  • Is this a studio??!!

  • Why build a studio and then play a Steve Vai song in the background for this video? Play us some stuff you recorded please.

  • @zeropointpower lulz

  • I don't mean to be insulting but this is an example of the problem with everyone thinking the can build home studios instead of going to a real studio these days. It appears you had the money but not the know how. That room is AWFUL for engineering and, although the equipment is good, you could've had a more functional setup for less money.

  • @DeadlyMixKrew

I am home got a great idea. Wouldn't it be convenient to have my ideas put down right away. Oh brother you are stuck in the pass. This is the way forward in music production.

  • @deppam Clearly you have no clue what you're talking about. First of all nothing about what I do is "in the pass". I'm running Nuendo in a mostly digital studio using an overclocked Quad-core processor and every plug-in you can name in 10 minutes among other things... but none of that technology fixes poor monitoring due to a poorly planned setup. There's no "forward" about that.

  • @DeadlyMixKrew Not trying to start any beef here, but the way you go around preaching on your soap box is very arrogant and cocky. I understand you've done this for a while and your very good at what you do, but you really seem full of yourself. You've blurred the line between constructive criticism and bragging in your comments. The way you go about telling others how they're wrong and you're right isn't helping anyone better themselves, it comes off as insulting and degrading. Lighten up man!!

  • cool stuff guys ... I've heard that putting computer monitors in between speakers isn't a good thing though. Thoughts on that? If you want I did some free vids with a world-class studio designer who talks about this ... feel free to check my channel.

secretpros (listed below) ... make music! =)

  • Hey folks. It's a KK Audio desk, model: KD SDP-1 Studio Desk Pro.

We bought the desk at Guitar Center. I don't think they have it anymore, but there's a big "Buy Direct" link on the page I listed above. Enjoy!

  • @jkbfun here's a link: kkaudio . com / GCproducts . html

  • nice studio, and great desk:P .I finally got my own little studio put together and gonna upload some new vids the following days.Stay tuned for updates if you like and visit my channel.

  • What kind of desk is that? I really want one!!

    Someone tell me!

  • @Erithlon

    Would like to know also..

  • desk = kkaudio. com/A1. html

  • I looked thru all the comments, and No one hit the nail on the head about the desk.

Its a KK Audio KD SDP-1 Studio Desk Pro sold exclusively at Guitar Center, and to my knowledge is dis-continued now. Or at least that is what I was told when I struggled to get mine. But did.

  • Wow, I have the mouse/keyboard/midi keyboard/Speakers and the Pc case lmao.

  • 00:20...ROFL! Its like he's saying, look what I've hardly used and can afford to buy bitches!

  • @bharath088 That's for sure. Apparently some decent microphones weren't in the budget.

  • nice setup

  • hey im new to this please help, how do i connect the moniotros to the interface? there are options jack to jack xlr to xlr or xlr from the monitor jack to the interface or jack from the monitor xlr to the interface ?!?!?!?!?!?! please help

  • @keybox8 what kind of interface are you using?

  • @downtothewireBAND presonus firepod, says at the beginning :)

  • This is not a studio and you guys dont have idea of sound engineering(no offence)but here is what i suggest. The monitors should abstain at least 1 meter from the wall you will also need isolation pads also i didnt saw bass traps anyway your acoustics are very very bad

  • do they also ejaculate over their simple studio?

  • where's the acoustic treatment??

  • @Allujallu very good point haha

  • how do u use sonar, how do u set up 2 monitors together i did mine but they didnt work

  • I hate fake guitar tone machines. Original tube is ligit

  • @quinnmyster i agree!

  • your stuff sounds pretty impressive, it flows good and it has a warm sound, check out this new stuff, I need some feedback on it

  • Whats the use of two displays? They just increase the visual field or they show different things?

  • @prince4d i would say one screen is for the virtual mixer and the other the recording program...

  • @toyota25904 Thanks

  • @prince4d 2 Screens is useful because you can have the arrange page on one and the mixer on the other...

  • @djdiscomikki unless you use ableton fucking live :(

  • @fermixx Lol you tell me mate, I use logic!

  • whats the use of two displays? They just increase the visual field or they shows different things?

  • Brother who programmes you use to record I write to him from venezuela regards

  • asshol

  • deep shit

  • the desk is nice but the rest is cheap shit..

  • I thought only black people use KRK's

  • @drastic209562 That was a very ignorant thing to say, but your right. those KRK's are just terrible.

  • @drastic209562 dude that made me feel bad?...did u really mean that?

  • sttteeeeeevvvvvvveee vvaaaaaaaaiiiiii!!!!!!!

  • Funny, someone knows a little about acoustic treatment and figures thats all you need in a studio. Hey A holes, theres no way to acoustically treat your room till you find out whats wrong with it, and the best way to do that is to add it after you have your monitors up and running. Why waste a ton of money on shit you dont need. The truth is the naysayers here have no studio and know jack shit.

  • I see no acoustic treatment. For over a year I've been pondering getting a lot of gear to start recording, but after some research I've realized that it's not even worth trying to sound pro and spending thousands if you don't have a good room first. So I'll wait until I can... For now I can just make badly mixed demos to get my ideas across.

  • @n30l1nk and what did u see? 10 sq feet? way to be a dick, so suck a fat cock while u look at all the gear u "supposedly" have. u have no idea what ur talking about

  • @Robot0Ninja Dude, did you read my comment right? I said I don't have gear. The guy in this video has some awesome gear, but I was noting that he didn't say anything about acoustic treatment, and everywhere on the internet I've looked up info on making home studios I've seen people place huge importance on that before equipment. And @dvrapant, you know what, that makes a lot of sense. @Both: I guess I did come off as arrogant, but I wasn't trying to shit all over the guy's studio.

  • @n30l1nk And what's with the fucking attitude, did I explicitly say his studio sucks and all his mixes are going to suck because I didn't see any acoustic treatment? I've read this and that, but if you think I'm misinformed, just fucking inform me.

  • @n30l1nk just because youve done some research doesnt make you an expert on acoustic treatment. every room is different, so he might not even need any sound absorption. and sorry for being angry before, it was late last night

  • @Robot0Ninja I never said I was an expert, but I guess I came off sounding like I was pretending to be one. I've just been looking up info because I wanna make my own studio.

  • @n30l1nk u shouldnt give advise if u dont even have a studio, no offense bro, but an hour of field experience beats the shit of a whole day of research

  • the desk is made by KK Audio

  • WHATS THE FUCKING NAME OF THAT DESK?

  • "People may be crying when they see this powerhouse"? They ain't crying.. they're laughing!!

  • speaker on desk? FAIL haha. dude put some foam under those speakers.

  • The studio desk might be made by KK Audio...I use the Producer Station from Studio RTA.

  • Where is the studio ?

  • messy

  • I am going to build a desk like that, Or BETTER!

  • what a bunch of fags

  • I can't understand how you people spend thousands on gear and do not even think on room acoustics. At least isolate the KRKs from the desk... give them some Mopads for Christmas.

  • theres nothing there :| a studio? urmm, no its not.

  • Comment removed

  • Hey i wanna Ask Where did you get the DESK ??

  • @HydePark4Life kk audio desk

  • Yeah, name of the desk would be nice, guys. Any leads??

  • damn i been looking for a month and still cant find that desk

  • Man I wish they said where they got that desk

  • good set up there but there is some thing which you need to do

1 clean up and hide wires :) lol

2 invest in a drum machine and ableton live 8 if you don't have it and if you do vocals auto tune

3 and some foam padding on the walls

  • scratch everything but the studio foam, why does he need auto tune or ableton lol

  • @disciple21781 man auto tune is insane and abelton live for when he is playing the guitar cuz there is something on there called looping and then you can start making songs from like scratch with one person

  • get some mackies

  • thats such a poser studio

  • why would you say that?

  • @SEPNo3 hahahah.....funny cause looks like that, but i bet the PC gots like 30+ gbram...and thats all you need a pc. with 30+ ram and you got your self a space station for music! lol

  • how?

  • @SEPNo3 man how is this a poser studio

  • haha these guys are so happy with themselves

  • now imagine how nice would be that...there are 8 symetric inputs on the desk... every single pluged in would be 8 symetric XLR or 6.3mmJack...what a mess...like I have XD

It can't be seen... are there any absorbers or difusors?

  • Really want the name of that desk:(:(

  • @heestenhats ME TOO!!! that desk is simply perfect for a studio setup!

i'm about to start a home studio..and that desk is what i'm lookin' for!

  • @heestenhats kkaudio a1 desk ,but you should find someone to build it for you,way less expensive and more precise to your needs.peace

  • @johnydeltablues Oh thanks. Yeah

  • @heestenhats This one is called Frank

  • @i2sharr Thanks alot:). Do you know the manifacture too?

  • @heestenhats it's called johnny :P

  • yo this question been killing me, do u hook up every individual mixer input to the interface, or do u hook the mixer directly to the computer? and what DAW program do you use?

  • @orenben1 u hook up the mixer through a firewire or usb port to your computer and once in DAW u assign the knobs and sliders as u wish.

  • LOL ! terrible vid , what program do u record with ? , how fast is the cpu ?

we want info man . INFO !

  • yeah tell us about the desk... it kinda looks like the RTA producer station but more bad azz. anyone know what kinda desk it is?

  • Comment removed

  • checque out "total guitar tech" in dublin ireland dudes, a friend.

    nice setup!

  • im looking to purchase a mackie 1402 aswell, worth the buy?

  • how should be the connections between the interface the axiom and the mackie mixer?

  • Can i ask where you got the desk from

  • if im working on a start of a home studio an im spends like a grand... an the computer is 500 an im buying like a akg 420 mic for like 300.. whats the best thing i do.. get a mixer or get an audio interface???

  • @coldhearte859

an audio interface w/ a good amount if inputs is alright. youll have more control over each channel goin into the comp

  • someone like steve vai

  • Yep, I have a feeling Passion and Warfare was not produced on that setup :-D

  • Were you get that Desk

  • okay, absolute shit, nice.

  • what speaker is under the table?

  • thats a computer you mad cunt

  • lol

  • First off, is that guys ass glued to the chair,. and when you shoot a video,. about audio! you might want to mic the guy that has his ass glued to the chair.

PS,. I couldnt care less about the desk.

  • one thing...If they are that good at recording audio, why is the audio on this video really shit? Like seriously, it sounds like shit.

  • he is just tryin to show something on a budget, im sure you probably have more money to spare, but the results are pretty similar, its not always the tools you have its the user

  • LETS HEAR SOME OF YOUR SHIT THEN.

  • Look's good!

  • Well as long as there not KRK i find that quite believable lol

  • Where did you get that desk rack? did you make it yourself? tell me pleaase, i'm looking for one of those

  • you can find them at amazon from 118 and up...I did you will love it

  • I remember having to master a track for a school project with some waves plugins on a mac protools setup. I was running the same software on a pc at home. The Mac ran the software like crap for some reason, when my pc was able to run it like a dream. I don't know why that was, but it kinda soured me to Macs.

  • nice man!!

  • Nice setup. I like the guitars..

  • awesome man

thats a great setup for getting started

i used a firepod until i upgraded from logic to Pro Tools 8 and got some rack mounts

although i still have no idea how to use protools

    but yeah

    sweet little setup :]

  • I seen better studio

  • who makes the table?

  • Middle Atlantic I believe

  • if you dont want the stdio ill keep it for you..........please tell me you dont want the studio

  • I have the same ASUS lcd screens, they are definitely good for a studio

  • Nevermind that last comment, your studio is a musician's dream.

  • aww did they offend you

  • Um.. okay.. KRKs are not shit. Your bullshit BEHRINGER gear is.. though you should look @ the factory tour vids here from a guy in Australia..

But sadly, the guy is using a PC (pro tools WILL run on them, but come on..).

This is a halfway decent little project studio. This guy isn't engineering fucking Dream Theatre.. No need for a Neve console here. So I've got a better idea, "djveto." Why don't you go buy all that shit for him? Oh... you have DJ before your name.. That trasnlates to poser.

  • I want to se your "studio"

  • is it a raxxes desk ?

  • thnx for the vid on your setup..

im using a Tascam djm 4800 built fitted in an argosy desk..

I;ve been looking for a work station to do my production work pretty much Exactly like the one you show in the beginning of your vid...

Could you please tell me what kind of workstation/desk you guys show in the beggining of your vid?

    Really apreciate it!!

    thnx and easy...

  • I got a question: I just got myself an home studio built... and everything works fine... but when i turned on the monitors with FL, i had to select driver, the bass started to flip (wrong driver select).. and i smellt something wrong from the left speaker... and when i put a kick in it -deep one- i can hear the sub shaking with some scratching (not that loud.. but it's there). I discovered a sort of cut in the rubber (the edge of the sub)... so: Can i repair that?

  • nope, ur screwed

  • yeah i figured that out allready xD gonna buy a new one :)

  • sorry maybe its too late but yes u can repair it, its a cheap repair.

  • haha :P thanks but i allready got a new pair of speakers... But the subwoofer was screwed... and a new woofer would cost me 90 euro's.... but the 2 itself were 144 euro... so...

but thanks for the response though !

  • i hate that midi controller. i got an axiom 49 as well. that thing is a toy. my boy has an mpk49. seriously, its not that much more and is the real deal. sure wish i had one of those instead.

i see guitars and stuff so i assume midi control is something youre not going to worry about anyhow.

  • Wow....I love it....^^

    Nice one!

  • Where can i find that desk ? Please

  • i think it's custom made!!

  • Simple is ruthless I always say

  • not powerhouse but its a nice set up, On monitors nick said its a KRK ST6, but the way i saw it...its a V6 series. rock n roll dude!
