@187prettyboy Agreed, is a major problem for the ABs... Need to pick combos that work together well. Fruen and SBW are in devastating form for the Crusaders this year so wouldn't be surprised if they both completely switch out Nonu and Smith in the Midfield. Ranger is also good on the wing, so think he might be brought in again as a impact player off the bench due to his flexibility.

Regardless im picking nonu, sbw and smith wont hang around long after the world cup so im picking fruen and ranger to fill that void, add dagg at fullback with jane and gear on the wings its going to be a very exciting backline.

When they are lost , the only person talking is Mils, its hard to replace the old masters with the young guns. They can easily pick a team of speedsters and youngsters, but I think they need 2 old heads in the backline.

Conrad Smith is the best center in NZ,he carved up in the weekend.Most people dont rate him cos he looks a little geeky.Ranger has alot of good attributes, like the ability to shrug off tackles and spark an attack from nothing,also knows how to score.His only problems would be his hands,sometimes knocks em on and his positional defence.He'll be an AB one day(if he doesnt sign overseas).

The Rene Ranger show has been going on for a couple of seasons. I've been a fan since I saw him in ANZ a couple of years ago. Looks like this year hes developed a little more skill on the ball to go with his instincts and power. All Black for the June matches I'll call it now.
