I know this video is old but I'll post here anyways. I just bought an action replay like that a few days ago. *used* Mine does work, however it is NOT compatable with the SP version of the gba, you'll have to use the older model of the gba. Also, that action replay you have looks exactly the same as mine, and with that being the case, I think yours AR is v3.3 which will not work with fire red/ leaf green versions of pokemon. The only versions that seem to work are ruby and sapphire. *No emerald*
@Aztech2100ad lol, and like i said above, I know the video is old but I'll try to help in case you still havn't gotten it to work. ;P Also, if you DO manage to somehow get fire red/ leaf green to work with the v3.3 AR, let me know. xD
i friend let me borrows his action replay and it has the same problem . nothing works and to make matters worse it deleted my saved game i already had in Crystal. Plz Help !
while gba is booting up press a + b +l + r at the same time and it should say on action replay global something beware it deletes everything off the action replay
Hey I bought one yesterday!! Mine did that, I blew in each thing and then put it in and by surprise it works! Oh and it's good to keep the button that slides to the left.
I've bought about 3 Action Replay's for my GBA. All AR devices for the GBA tend to break down after a year or so. They are really frustrating to use, and Datel doesn't make them very stable. In short, it's very bad to buy them used. My third (and last) AR had the same problem your does. It isn't very easy to put out in words, but basically what you need to do is mess around and found out where the connectivity (that results in a lack of the Nintendo logo) is coming from.
@100PercentRatedR In the case of an old AR like yours I would recommend putting the FireRed (or whatever) game in and out of the AR a couple times. Don't be afraid to really grind it in there. When you think that your game is in the AR itself, then you should start to carefully put the AR into the GBA. Carefully meaning as not to hit the game you've just put into the AR. You'll probably have to put the AR in and out of the GBA at least 5-10 times. Sometimes knocking it lightly works too.
@100PercentRatedR Thanks. I had my dads' friend look at it the other day because he's a technician and I haven't heard from him since but I'll try that.
