Me and a few students at my school were in a Model UN organization and in March 2010 we visited the United Nations University in Tokyo for a trip

When we were listening to a speech about UNICEF, the spokesperson showed us this video

And eventhough I'm a guy who listens to metal, watches anime, and practices martial arts, I cried when I saw this, it was so beautiful

I feel I want to do the world a favor too and help the children in need of care, God bless them all

It´s possible to volunteer locally so even if you don´t have money to give, you can give of your time to help spread information and collect money. You can see if your town have a local unicef group that you can join. If not you can contact unicef in your country and maybe create a support group in your town. We always need more local volunteers so check your contries unicef site and see if they have a group in your area. Peace

when i went to africa (and this is only africa im not sure about other 3rd world countries) the people seemed happy, and I saw no help from any companies like world vision or Unicef. One of them was even at university! my point is, that some of these people (no necessarily kids) choose to live the way they do. the problem is that the media sensationalises everything wether it be for them or against them. I just wish that there were more restriction on sensationalism.

It cost 10,000 shillings to buy into an aid oganisation enquires from britan into the billions of dollars in aid money came up with over 90% unaccounted for. Throwing money at this problem does not make it go away it creates a mentality that aid money is part of life and not a donation to assist in the rehabilitation of a ravged country.
