Hey thats cool man that your joining the army. I joined and I leave for basic training on Jan. 18th for fort benning Georgia. I'm doing basic training them Airborne right after. If you come to fort benning we should meet up. Good luck with everything man.

im intending on infantry myself (either Army or Marines) Marines just to stand out (my entire family is Army) Oh and what were you told you would have to wait after swearing in before boot? (i was told a year which i think is a load of shit)

Who are you working with? I talked to Sgt. Upton a few months ago when I was first looking at the Military.

I ditched Sgt. Williams (Air Force), since he is way to hard to get ahold of. and am working with his supervisor who is in Kirksville, Mo.

im tellin ya man, its great that you think that you'd want to be an MP, but those guys work 12's even 16 hour days most of the time and they deploy CONSTANTLY. i commented on your last vid of being security forces, but i know from people im here with at barksdale afb that you're in for a huge wake up call on what its really like rather than what it looks like from the recuiter.

Think it over man. ALOT before you do anything. Meps isnt permanent until you swear in.

but if it was me.. i would pic Aviation... and beeing the army .that means choppers.... UH-60 Black Hawk.. AH-64 Apache... the works =)

@canis002 Yea I would love to do aviation, however I believe to actually be apart of a helicopter crew you first have to work your way up as a mechanic. I might be wrong though.

@canis002 to fly you have to be an officer. To be an officer you have to have a degree. You can't jut say "aviation". The only way you'll "fly" as an enlistedman is if you're being transported or you're a crew chief.

good luck man, my younger brother joined up three years ago and has really enjoyed his time so far, he's based in germany at the moment, has received really good trade training and has already got to see many parts of the world with the forces =)

he did tell me basic training was evil though :O altho said he wouldn't change it for the world because of the friendships he made and the sense of achievement he felt after the 12 weeks of hell was over
