  • This SUCKS! How come there's no window views to the outside while you're going up and down? That's most of the fun gone right there! =/

  • was really cool when the door opened man, and the burst of light!

  • I have read that these elevators are 10 m/s OTIS Skyway(TM) gearless traction systems.

  • @chayut1992 10 m/s? That's a bit slow for a building that tall.

  • @mainchow10 it's the fastest elevator in the world.. so whatcha point?

  • The point is, 10 m/s is slow for a 828-meter tall building so don't talk to me.

  • @mainchow10 It's slow, but fast ENOUGH. And you get a fancy lightshow inside the cabin so i don't get your point.

Do not talk to me as well. :)

  • @mainchow10 I think a lot of it has to do with it's immense size!

  • @wawawis When you say "it's", do you mean the elevator or the building?

  • @mainchow10 I was talking about the elevator. I did read some literature on the burg and saw that it had some big elevators and some smaller ones. This one looks to be huge, but it might be an optical illusion.

  • @NathanMandjes The fastest elevator is actually the one that goes all the way up to the floors 160 and above. The 160th floor is the highest habitable floor, but there are 46 more in the spire, and 2 basement floors for parking, for a grand total of 208 floors. The elevators that go all the way up travel at 40 mph, 3,540 ft/min or 59 ft/sec (64 km/h, 1,080 m/min or 18 m/sec).

  • The elevators on Burj Shitlifa are made in China. Visitors on the observation deck of the world's tallest tower heard a loud boom, then saw dust that looked like smoke seeping through a crack in an elevator door 124 floors above the ground; the elevator was stuck between floors, rescuers had to drop a ladder into the shaft so those inside could crawl out.

  • cool story bro.

  • Roman, R u part of American Media machinery to defile non-american interests on electronic media?

    f off.

  • Shit nicht. I am only pointing to a true fact, the arabs with all their money they ordered elevators in Guanghzou, China. I am in Burj for the last two weeks, and I was sadened by the experience of being trapped in the elevator for 30 minutes. I could read the plate myself, Elevator made by Guangzhou Guangri Elevator Industry Co., Ltd, a Hitachi company, but still in China.

  • @RomanicusMaximus Was you scared of being trapped?

  • @rodney1279 only saddened by the unknown! The mistery of undergarments under the full burqa next to me.

  • whoah, epic, thanks for sharing =]
