Actually, not really. The book, Rare Earth, by several secular scientists (who renounce any form of evangelicalism) shows life requires too many factors to coincide for it to be possible given any number of stars and/or planets.

Life as we know it would not be possible, but life of some kind, is still be possible somewhere, given billions of stars, and trillions of planets.
