  • nice tank

do u no how many litres a 56 gallon tank is??

    pls help

  • Nice JD.

  • BEAUTIFUL TANK SCOTTK..

  • i have had columbain sharks in freshwater brackish water and saltwater they do best in salt water i dont no why every one things there brackish - or fresh

  • Few questions mate, are your sharks and pangasius always that active? also 12 secs in you do a close up on 1 of your fish... what fish is it? Cheers mate

  • @seany69cooper they are pretty active. The fish at 0:12 is a False Tigrinus (rare) catfish

  • make both longer

    lololol

  • make it longer

  • The video or the tank? both lol

  • I can see you're very knowledgable on the topic of large fish. I just purchased a 40 gallon breeder. I was wondering if you would know what fish(preferably sharks, catfish, eels, and oscars) but I'm still not sure what would go good together in this tank. Also, the quantity of each specific fish would be appreciated. Thanks man.

  • how is he hes keeping aload of tank busters in a 56 gallon tank lol theres only the jd who wont out grow it

  • True. They were moved into a much larger aquarium.

  • one of the best looking male jack dempseys i have seen

  • thank you! I would have to agree :)

  • nice tank your fish have beautiful colors and seem happy.Did you know those columbians are brackish. You should add at least10 table spoons of salt. The columbians can actually get skin disease without salt, and the other freshwater fish can handle small amounts of salt.

  • Yes, I haver salt in the tank, but thanks.

  • i use to have a common goldfish (not the twin-tail type)but it died because it was sick and its sickness spreaded to all the other fish including 5 twin-tailed goldfish except 1 angel fish and 1 yellow goldfish which survived the sickness.

  • how much was that false tigrinus??

  • A LOT

  • sharks like those really shouldn't even be in stores un less on special order becaues of thier size.

  • I would hate to have to special order them.... i have several of these and i don't see a reason to not be able to go down and buy them at the pet store

  • i agree the ID shark alone will get up to 3 feet. and the shadowfins get 12 inches or so, but people put them in tiny tanks.

  • Awesome Jack Dempsey.

  • Thank you!

  • the tank looks really big consiering that the fish are big... 220 is gunna be HUGE

  • i really like your tank

  • thank you

  • Wow, nice fish tank, i have just a few questions?

I want to buy sharks (2 or something), but i am new to having sharks, with sharks do oyu recomend that will not grow very big, like 20cm or 30 cm. and how big a tank would i need ?

And can you make your fish tank out of Plestic glass :P ?

  • nyc tank!! i was wondering if u cud tell me if u can keep these fish together :salmon tail catfish,

    shovel nose catfish,

    redtail catfish,

    banded bamboo sharks,

    Suckermouth catfish,

and what gallon tank would u suggest ?? many thnx

  • Well, all of these fish are bottom fish. You need a lot of surface area. You'll have nothing to fill the middle or upper part of your tank unless you buy tall plants. I suggest starting with a 55 gallon and eventually a 125+ gallon aquarium. They'll grow big!

  • thnku 4 ur help

  • im findin it hard 2 find a tank which holds over 60 gallons without spending to much do u have any suggestions of fish i could keep in a tank of that size which are smilar 2 the fish i sent 2 before

  • You have a million options. Start with what you like most...then find compatible ones.

  • For someone who claim to know fish you know fuck all. For that list you would need say 400-600 gallons preferably more. Shovel nose and red tail will both get around 3.

Then there is the fact bamboo sharks are real sharks and need proper saltwater.

  • whooo!

    long time.

  • My Columbian Sharks haven't bred yet. I wonder if they're all the same sex. Hmmm?

  • or is it the fact know one breeds them or that there not even close to full grown yet?

  • they sure breed!

beacuse you got a lot of sharks there pal.

  • Haha, they haven't bred yet. I raised these since babies!

  • your sharks have breeded yet?

  • No, I never thought about it really....but I think it would be cool!

  • Overstocked.

  • I know it has a lot in it. I just bought 125 gallon tank to split them up. I am keeping the Columbian Sharks together!

  • Beatiful tank!!!! All the fish are looking very happy and healthy!

Question: Can you keep a Banded Leporinus in a 55 gallon tank?

  • Absolutely, but I must warn you of their aggression. They pick the fish they don't like (no matter the size). My Leporinus picked their spot in the tank and became very territorial (fin-nippers).

  • brackish?

  • It was brackish for the longest time but I've slowly turned it to freshwater.

  • wow what amazing fish!!! so nice to see good fish videos. nice setup too.... where are your fish from u.s.?

  • Originally, no. But I order through Segrest Farms who get their fish from all over the world.

  • Nice tank mate, the striped fish a nang. Where did u get those palm trees from they look SIIIIK. Du u live in london cos i wanna get some for my tank.

  • I got the palm tree decorations from PetSmart in the U.S.

  • your Leporinus fasciatus isn't aggressive towards your other fish?

  • Actually, they are a thorn in my side. I recently gave them to a friend. I knew what I was getting into but I took the chance. They are quite the fin nippers!

  • yea i regret getting mine, I bought 2 and when they got old enuf, one killed the other due to territory issues =[

  • is that a juruense,or banded, catfish?

  • The striped fish is a Banded Leporinus (Leporinus fasciatus) catfish.

  • thats a good video. love the music.

  • Do you like the tank or just the music?

  • Like the music- Love the tank! The fish are beasts.

  • man u have a clean tank...what kind of filtration system do you have

  • I use Marineland Bio-wheel filtration in all of my tanks but one (Cascade 3000 canister filter).

  • wow, that is an amazing thanks. i am a huge animal lover.

  • Thank you. I love animals too (hence the amount of animal videos I post).

  • This setup is so much better than the last one. I can't stop watching it at home!

  • I really like what you've done to the tank.
