I'd probably just say slow down the song down and create a bigger valume gap between verse and chorus. Cause it's supposed to be really quite dramatic on the "Can you feel". Other than that, your voice is really smooth and nice, and the simple chord work fits well with the kind of cover you're doing. When I mention volume, maybe not so much the voice as much as the guitar...but voice too.

believe me, ive heard dozens and dozens of white people attempt to cover japanese songs and one thing ive noticed they always try to mimic exactly is the japanese accent and singing tone in their songs, and it ends up ruining the song.

you however, seemed to create your own lovely tone with this song and it was a smash, great job. you have such a lovely voice, i would love to hear more songs from you.
