  • It made me think and realize that the veterans are fighting for how many decades now, But still, the war continues. How long will it take them to kill innocent people and die but the war still exists?

  • @bravenewfoundation Why did they hate America in 1783? watch?v=vUuH2G7dPFk

Shariamerica: Islam, Obama, and the Establishment Clause watch?v=ErzxOz3Dzv8

  • pff from the youtube videos i have seen of US soldiers in afganistan they seem to love what they are doing out there. if they dont want to be there they could allways resign.

  • To follow, these witnesses are, I believe, to be genuine in their respective perspectives. I do not criticize them for their words. My point is simply this: If America is to survive as a nation, it must learn how to learn.

  • The world is shrinking in size by the day. No country is as isolated in theory as yesterday. The Web is squeezing the global population into a morass of confusion, i.e., the more you know the less you understand. Human Nature will never change. Witness pre-December 7, 1941; America had these very same people espousing the very same sentiments.

In other words, American citizens generally remain detached and don't galvanize until the threat becomes personal.

  • @orinsisi An ex-director of the DGSE (which is the French counterpart to the American CIA), Alain Chouet, said that al-Qaida died in 2002 ; it hasn't the infrastructure anymore to attack anything. In Afghanistan, there are Talibans-rebels, but they aren't connected to al-Qaida ; 'coz al-Qaida is dead.

  • What kind of man was Ronald Reagan? HERO OR DEGENERATE? [Fr. the Internet: The My Lai Massacre was the mass murder conducted by a unit of the U.S. Army on Mar. 16, 1968 of 347–504 unarmed citizens in S. Vietnam, all of whom were civilians and a majority of whom were women, children (including babies) and elderly people. Many of the victims were beaten, tortured, and some of the bodies were found mutilated.] Pres. Reagan pardoned Lt. Calley who carried out the massacre. How low can you go?

  • @CelestialEmbodiment The United States, since the end of the WWII, have destroyed God knows how many democratic states and killed thousands of peoples ... the first case being in 1953, when they killed democracy in ... Iran. Yes, Obama asked for 'forgiveness', but, now, it's just too late. Your massacre, I'm sure, is just a tiny drop in the bloody ocean from American establishment's hands.

  • I GUESS THEY CAN TAKE OFF YOUR THUMBS UP FOR COMMENTS MADE HERE! I had 3 or 4 and now I have none. So be it and why I wonder. Was my comment to TRUTHFUL?

  • So you're saying the NATO occupation of Afghanistan is more like the U.S. occupation of Vietnam than the earlier Russian occupation? You could be right there, but Vietnam also involved an undemocratic puppet regime, high civilian casualties, assassinations of non-combatant political activists, torture, and summary executions of captured prisoners (after the battle at Mazar-i-Sharif). Despite (or because of) these harsh tactics, we didn't win in Vietnam, either.

  • @wheresthechange If you're referring to my comments, I rather clearly wrote KOREA, not VIETNAM. Those were two different wars, you know (God help you if you actually don't know that...and God help us all if someone that uneducated can be created by our school system).

  • If defeating the Taliban is an achievable goal, why haven't we achieved it after 10 years? We defeated the Nazis AND Japan in less than 5. And why, just like in Iraq, are there so many civilian casualties? No excuse for that. How is our puppet regime in Afghanistan different from the Russian's puppet regime in the 80's? If you really want to take the wind out of the Taliban's sails, remove the foreign troops. Would you want foreign troops in your country?

  • @wheresthechange Oh, and one last thing, idiot – We defeated the Nazis and the Japanese in less than 5 years at the cost of over FIVE MILLION Axis civilian casualties. But YOU say there’s “no excuse” for civilian casualties. So should we not have fought the Nazis? The fact is, the number of civilian casualties in Afghanistan is in the thousands, not the millions, and the UN confirms that the MAJORITY of those casualties are from TALIBAN forces, not the U.S.

  • @wheresthechange The Taliban is a small faction that ruled Afghanistan for only 5 years. The average Afghani is not a Taliban supporter. Whereas the Soviets tried to convert the Afghans to secular communism, we are not trying to change their religion or value system. They can keep their Islam, their tribal/warlord alliances, and their opium crops. We’re only concerned with keeping the Taliban and al-Qaeda out, and that, jackass, is an achievable goal.

  • @wheresthechange How stupid are you? Are you “Rain Man” stupid, or “I Am Sam” stupid? As I made perfectly clear in my comment, the “achievable goal” is not to “defeat” the Taliban but to “keep them out,” just as we are unable to “defeat” the North Koreans, but we can “keep them out” of the South. Is that REALLY so hard for your pea brain to grasp?

  • On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month the Great Powers of the World signed the armistice laying down arms after four years of the bloodiest war in history. That was 1918.

What caused the armistice was the refusal of soldiers to fight. They refused 'to go over the top' anymore. In Russia, France, England, Italy they refused to participate in the slaughter which had begun in 1914.

What we learn from Armistice Day is that the soldier is the front line of the peace movement.

  • In Afghanistan, the bad guys fled into Pakistan. We can't follow after them, because Pakistan is (ostensibly) an ally, and (more importantly) has nukes, like North Korea. But we also can't let al-Qaeda take over Afghanistan again. So the most we can hope for is to park our asses on the border, like Korea. It's not the best situation, but, as in Korea, it's better than abandoning the place.

  • ‎"Al-Qaeda isn't in Afghanistan anymore" because WE are there. This isn't a war that we can think of in terms of "winning" like WWII or Desert Storm. It's a war like the Korean War, that can only end with us keeping the bad guys out. In Korea, we can't "beat" the Stalinists who rule the north. We can only keep them from invading the south, which is a noble goal. So we just parked our asses on the border, for the past 57 years, and possibly for the next 57 years.

  • @WeAreTheRPA The problem is that we are occupying a country that is run by thugs, and we will not be accepted, so this is a stalemated useless occupation that

is very costly on both sides. Afghanistan is where world powers go to die. No country can take Afghanistan nor control it's destiny. It is hopeless to think that Christians can occupy a Muslim country and gain it's hearts and minds. The whole concept of this war is that we are going to tame the taliban, and we cannot stay there .

  • @jacknaztoo There are only 3 constants in Afghanistan: Its Muslim nature, its warlords, and poppy growing. We are not seeking to change any of those things. The radical Taliban was NOT a constant in Afghanistan - it only ruled for 5 years. Even the Soviets ruled longer than that (14 years). But whereas the Soviets sought to radically transform Afghanistan into a secular communist state, we seek only to keep the Taliban and al-Qaeda out. That is an achievable goal (unlike the Soviet goal).

  • @WeAreTheRPA that is probably the closest thing to reality. the only kink in it is the nature of the enemy, compared to Korea. The ability to even demarcate an area of neutrality for containment would seem to be the most difficult objective in that scenario. but it does seem a strategy of such containment would be the objective-though it is doubtful that the enemy would ever honor such an agreement.

  • @HermitintheRain enemy. honour. agreement. get outta their country ya dick

  • Note to smmsmh;

Just because something has always been done doesn't make it right or moral or honorable. Slavery used to be right, moral and honorable, remember? You have missed the point completely; America is supposed to be better than this.

  • It is being responsible to stop doing something that is wrong. There is NOTHING honorable or noble in what the US and the Allies did at our request in invading those two and half countries (Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan). I don't care a bit about losing our way or leaving it in chaos. All we are doing is creating chaos. To say we have to right the wrong and leave the countries in stable hands does NOT mean continuing the WAR is the only answer. RIP Adam and all the other soldiers.

  • it is understandable that many should rightly question what we are doing in Afghanistan. yet to simply leave because we lost our way would only add shame to us irresponsibly just pulling out of a land and leaving it to the chaos that our intervention has created. ending the war in Afghanistan, or Iraq for that matter, is a noble goal. but we must not simply pull out of either places without an equally honorable and noble solution.

  • @HermitintheRain You're an idiot.

  • @aerialrose what a witty response. if realizing that finding an honorable and noble solution to just simply pulling out makes me an idiot, then i take that as a compliment.

maybe you are one of those who are use to making messes and then letting your mom or someone else clean up after you.

  • Ummm Best Of Luck To The Re Think Afganistan Group :)

  • It will never end it is war for profit. While innocent people die every day, on both sides, the corporatist elite and politicians get richer and richer. USA destroys countries and have been doing it forever in the name of freedom, code for capitalism.

  • The audio isn't balanced exactly right on the mac --- the background covers up the voices.

  • Corporatists(Fascists) learned something in WWII.

If they use a few countries to make profit, there maybe other countries go against them as allies.

Now the corporates had become global, so the fascism became global. There are no allies to fight against them any more.

Ever heard of G20? Didn't it sound like global fascists movement?

  • And may I add that Osama BEEN FORGOTTEN has been dead since 2001 and AL QAEDA was created by our CIA and that 9/11 was a FALSE FLAG attack like the GULF OF TONKIN for the ILLEGAL VIET NAM WAR! All WARS ARE MONEY VENTURES and for this to KEEP GOING shows HOW MUCH MONEY THEY ARE MAKING! SHAMEFUL AND PATHETIC are the PEOPLE ON TOP of the FOOD CHAIN!

  • @JohnNiemsMusic So fucking stupid. Are the Jews running the world, too? And was the Holocaust just a "false flag" invented to create Israel? Tell me - do you make your own tin foil hat, or do you buy pre-made ones?

  • @WeAreTheRPA Your only comment I agree with is your first as you are that! STUPID! You obviously don't even know what a FALSE FLAG ATTACK is by your sentence and you don't know the difference between a ZIONIST and someone who is JEWISH! Tell me are you a GATE KEEPER or just a wise guy dummy trying to be cool here? None of what I wrote was incorrect but everything you said here shows me your ignorance. One cannot argue with a fool and you are indeed a stupid fool! BUH BYE

  • @JohnNiemsMusic I am indeed a "gate keeper" for the conspiracy. You fell into our clever trap by responding to my comment, and now we have been able to obtain your identity and address. We have dispatched a plane which will soon lay a poisonous contrail over your home. Oh, and I regret to inform you, your tin foil helmet has not helped you at all. You need to use HEAVY DUTY foil, you cheapskate.

  • @WeAreTheRPA First: CLEVER does not in anyway describe you! Second: I watched your music video and here's a NEWS FLASH FOR YOU: The DEMOCRATIC AND REPUBLICAN PARTIES TAKE ORDERS FROM THE ZIONIST FEDERAL RESERVE! We have a 2 party DICTATORSHIP and your video shows me how BRAINWASHED you are as that is how they get away with all the crap they pull on us because people like you actually believe the terrorists are Muslims! It's US VS THEM and not LEFT VS RIGHT! CAPISH? Turn off FOX NOISE! AMEN

  • @JohnNiemsMusic Good lord, you're still alive! How can that be? Yesterday, I sent my Jew drones to gas you with poison contrails! You must be made of stronger stuff, oh mighty John Niems! I'll have to go to plan B. Tonight, we increase the radiation level to 1,000 mrems! No foil hat can save you now! Ha ha ha!!!

  • @WeAreTheRPA This will be my last response to you and here it is. My third verse to my song WHY ARE WE THERE; BUSH = CLINTON = BUSH = OBAMA - THEY SURE USE OPERATIVES LIKE SADDAM AND OSAMA - PASSING THE BATON OUR PRESIDENTS ARE ONE - A MAKE BELIEVE DIFFERENCE BUT THERE IS REALLY NONE _ chorus - WHY ARE WE THERE IT IS FAIR TO ASK - HOW LONG WILL 9/11 JUSTIFY THE TASK - copyright 2010 NiemSongs PUB BMI - Hey whoever you are why don't you LEARN SOMETHING FOR A CHANGE? SADDAM AND OSAMA = CIA MOLES

  • @JohnNiemsMusic Stay strong, good buddy! Zionists like "WeAreTheRPA" think they can defeat you with their Jew-rays and kosher-contrails. But we know better. I can tell your great strength by the fact that you WRITE IN ALL CAPS! No Jew can overcome THAT kind of power. Together we will defeat the evil Jews (oh, I mean, TOGETHER WE WILL DEFEAT THE EVIL JEWS!).

  • @JohnNiemsMusic OH! MY! GOD! That song totally convinced me that you're right. And the all-caps really made it seem like you were here in the room singing it to me. I'm so glad you pointed out that it's copyrighted, because everybody here will most definitely want to steal it. I mean, you rhymed "Obama" with "Osama." No one's EVER thought of that before! You, sir, are a true genius. I'm honored to have had this exchange with you. Now, on to battle THE JEWS!!!!!

  • @WeAreTheRPA Being a fool is never cool. PEACE OUT and listen to what these VETS are saying and try and learn something as you are indeed pathetic and I am very sorry to have wasted anytime on your sorry brainwashed self.

  • Nice to see. This war is destroying all sides.

  • The spirit of Smedley Buter.

  • Good on these guys to speak their heart. What about the private contractor employees & CEO`s of Xe services (Blackwater), KBR (Halliburton), are they now contracting in Afghanistan? Does the big money they make completely override the element of human compassion, empathy, and moral values? War is entering a whole new dimension in recent years. Sad but true.

  • @humanrights2u ahem....when you speak of Contractors....you seem to KNOW not what you speak of....there are contractors at ALL levels of this conflict...please...before you spew KNOW the full picture!

And using contractors and Gov civilians is NOT anything that has not always been done!

  • Say No to "WIND ZERO"! Say no to this private military complex in Imperial County! Say no to the CEO Brandon Webb

  • Congratulations! Thank you for standing against this silly wars! Thank you for breaking this cycle of war addiction! There is no money to send our kids to college, but there are trillions to pay for these wars, what a shame!

  • Marine General Smedley Butler, two time Medal of Honor recipient, stated that "war is a racket". He refused to stage a coup against FDR that Prentice Bush (GW's grandaddy), DuPont, Ford and other fascist supporters wanted. I served in Vietnam in 1968 - another war for profit and one that produced My Lai and other horrors on both sides. The only reason to take up arms, as Butler said, is to protect our country's borders and to uphold the Constitution.

  • Thank You Troops & Veterans for the SACRIFICES you've made. May all the troops come home safely to their families.

USA BunnyBaby thank you for your 20+ years of service.

Thank you to the military families for the sacrifices you also make. Sorry I didn't include you in above comment.

  • Thank You Troops & Veterans for the SACRIFICES you've made. May all the troops come home safely to their families.

USA BunnyBaby thank you for your 20+ years of service.

  • Is this war "just"? Is it moral? Is it helping the cause of USA security? Is it reducing the threat of terrorism?

    No, No, No, and No.

What it IS doing is lining the pockets of the military and war profiteers. It is killing innocent people. It is INCREASING the threat of retribution and terrorism.

Pull out of Afghanistan NOW. End this disgusting war-mentality militarism.

"Defense" is a cover word for "Offensive militarist domination".

    Offensive indeed.

  • This is sick. End this bull.

  • I'm glad that we're finally questioning this war. However, it's a little hard to take to hear soldiers complain about nightmares. Unlike the people you killed, at least you lived to be able to have them.

  • You are brave people with integrity and intelligence. Here in the UK the country is being indoctrinated from every quarter with the idea of soldiers as heroes in this phony war. They are exploited very young men being goaded to go out and kill and get killed. YOU are heroes and I salute YOU.

  • @m32dave That's what the military does to make their recruitment quotas.

Do a search on terrorism and false-flag operations to see how citizens are manipulated by their own governments to militarize the nation and destroy democratic society.

  • This is a great message. Lets all make an effort to share this with everyone we know.

  • Americans are awfully brave with other people's sons and daughters serving multiple deployments. Now with a professional military the lower classes can fight in endless wars while the rest of us just go about our lives almost unaffected.

  • I was in the NAVY 6 years and fought in Grenada and the went on submarines for 6 years and got out full honorable discharge . Then was in during the cold war and now I am glad it ended. I thing we should leave Iraq and just find the guys who backed 9/11

  • Read The Federalist it's a very good collection of letters written by the forefathers of the USA. They explain everything from the separation of church and state to how our defense should never be used for anything other than defending our own borders. They predict the fall of the US exactly as it has unfolded- too much power to corporations and using a "foreign enemy" to cause war. 1913 the FED. Been a fascist state ever since, disguised as democracy.
