  • love the movie and the song

  • That is all Based on a True Story. The Bosses wwant make her mouthdead, because this Paper she had would show the Lifedangerous Work in the Pant, and that there all where more Contamination than allowed. This Facts where so strong, that this Plant 1 Year afte rKaren Gay Sildwoods death get Closed. At least she reached that Posthum what she wanted.

  • Music is beyond sacred when it makes your heart smile.

  • Yah, what a great movie. The actors were wonderful of the life and death of Karen Silkwood. . God bless her always.

  • amazing! mayb one with lyrics?

  • Meryl Streep is my favorite actress and my inspiration.

  • wonderful, thankyou for posting!

  • It's the saddest movie I've ever seen!!

  • I am far from a conspiracy theorist type of person but in the case of Karen Silkwood it is so obvious that she was killed

  • I loved this movie....and the ending (along with this song) is still so moving

  • This movie is a classic, what a cast! Meryl Streep, Kurt Russell, Cher, Fred Ward, Ron Silver (rip), Craig T.Nelson, Charles Hallahan (rip), Bill Cobbs, Will Patton, etc. I love how both Kurt Russell & Charles Hallahan were in this movie and like a year before this, they both starred in John Carpenter's The Thing. Underrated film, great performances all around.

  • @PrimeTimeJokesta I don't know why but i wanted to hug you for your comments about Russel and Hallahan, yes i am devoted fan of "The Thing" and i have just discovered the Mike Nichols's masterpiece.

  • @throughtime LOL, thanks, I'm a huge fan of The Thing, too. Did you know that both Kurt Russell & Charles Hallahan were also in Executive Decision, too? Another great film. This film is a bonafide classic, so many strong performances and it's so painful to watch this poor woman go through what she did. The end of this film was always the most heartbreaking thing about it, seeing the look on Cher's face made me not wish to see the look on Russell's. That would've been too much I think.

  • Like who did not know this would happen, of course they killed her

  • Like who did not know that would happen

  • Isn't it ironic, that Meryl is singing amazing grace when they have Cher in the movie? lol

  • This scene was great, I almost had a tear.

  • I cried at this, totally beautiful

  • OMG. She's amazing. *sheds tear.

  • This is my opinion of what happened:

Karen was driving, she sees a light behind her and wonders who it is, a car bumps into the back of hers, maybe a couple of times or maybe once. She loses control of the wheel, and she accidently swerves off the road and lands into a ditch.

  • Keep in mind, Karen Silkwood's car was BRAND NEW, and had no damage or problems with it whatsoever. Sure, she had tranquilizers in her system, but she used them habitually. If you look at the accident, there was a huge swerve mark on the road from her tires and on the back of her car - paint chips from a car other than her own. Don't know about the rest of you all, but to me, that spells M-U-R-D-E-R!

  • She has an ok singing voice but she needs to work on tone quality. She is lucky to have an angelic quality so you don't hear the flaws unless you listen or know something about music.

  • kerr mcgee Killed her Because she knew to much and was going to Spill the beans

  • Karen Silkwood spoke up in a attempt to make the world a better place for all of us.

This movie should serve as a reminder of the bravery of one woman and the sacrifice of the most important thing in the world your life.

We need to remeber she stopped Kerr-Mcgee from just destroying the enviroment with radioactive pollution in that part of the country.

She didn't start out a activist it just sort of happened that she became one by accident.. R.I.P. TY for what you have done.

  • Meryl is so pure and beautiful here!!

I like her very much in this character, young, loose but fair.

It's only too bad it's a true, tragic story...

  • Meryl should be a singer.... The Grammys are wating...... I have already made plans taht this version is played at my funeral....... it is so pure, so clean......much joy........so love her!!

  • Meryl Streep é um raríssimo exemplo de uma excelentíssima atriz que tem uma voz MARAVILHOSA! I wish i could sing like her (Y <3

  • I love this movie soo muchh..

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • Thanks for posting this - I really like Meryl Streep's rendition of "Amazing Grace." This was an excellent film. Extremely sad what happened to Karen Silkwood, but she made a difference for so many. There are some interesting articles about what Karen's children have to say if you google her name. Quite a woman.

  • 10 more oscars for this lady would be deserving.....

  • It is so sad that Karen silkwood's life was cut short. She would have been 64 years old this year if it wasn't for that accident or that job that claimed her life. maybe being a whistleblower may be the worst job in the world, who knows?

  • I Love this movie, i watched it and i cried my eyes out. Meryl is brilliant in this movie!! i love her <3 xx

  • This always made me sad for days after I would watch it...I mean really sad

  • The best performance of this song ever! It has no equal.

  • Meryl rules...on many levels...

  • Meryl has the most amazing singing voice i have ever heard. she should release an album!

  • she should of all the songs that she has done

  • Yeah, I think so too!!!! She's amazing!! Love her!! <333

  • My nefew died of SIDS. I kept thinking of this song.

  • Silkwood is based on a true story you know.

  • I think the film was finally what needed to be said about this industry that the United States and the rest of the world so desperately tries to convince us is a safe industry to venture in. It wasn't until stories such as this and Chernobyl that we learned the horrors of this industry when something as safety can be set aside for the need to want to not halt production.

  • Cher is at her BEST......perfection!!

  • One of my favorite movies of all time

  • omg,this is so sad.
