yea im going with vidsmaxx... but id say that this car aint the best ever, because its gearbox is absolutely SHIT. the next point is that it costs more than 300000 euros so you pay a lot more than for the normal sl65 but you have no roadster anymore. Id buy myself some serious car for 300000 euros, or an sl63 and a ferrari f430 both together.

no you wont get your money back. im quite sure its price is not stabile. I mean, It cant do any fast corners without losing traction and its not even fast for a 300000 euro car. 4 secs from 0 to 100! but at least its not confortable like the other SLs even though you have no traction anyway! But you dont have a convertible anymore, you cant have everything... maybe the only thing it has is that its fun driving. But the murcielago is convertible, has traction, is fast and is more confortable

i'd love to see a derestricted top speed run of this thing. Just really use all that torque's. I can see gearing perhaps being the only real limit.

It has a lot of torque, but horsepower is the power cars need for top speed performance. Torque is to just get it rolling. I think 219mph without the limiter. Maybe more.. maybe 224mph.

I mentioned them because I think this Merc is way too expensive. Round the track it couldn't keep up with 599 which is cheaper. Oh about top speed... this information comes from AMG.

It is an expensive car because it's replacing the SLR. Also, can't compare a 599 to this car. Two different classes. Ferrari vs Mercedes...??? About the top speed, I've been on a Mercedes forum for a while, and an ECU tune from a company called Carlsson raises the redline, and the projected top speed would be 224. Driftbox verified I guess.

i saw a documentation on tv about the ferrari factory in modena...damn that was scary. i will never understand why people spent so much money for such a trashy car. give TATA ( indian manufacturer ) 200 000 euro and even they will build better cars. a SL AMG will drive 200 000 km and more without any problems...try this with a ferrari ;)
