  • Oh nice job indeed! I feel a little guilty for liking this so much since I'm a huge Herrmann fan and you didn't use his score at all... I suppose Herrmann's score accentuates the fact that this a "comedy-suspense" film, and the music you used makes it look like a straight suspense film....anyways, bravo.

  • @lvbandmore

I bet Hermann would have liked this. I wish so much that I could go back in time and relive this movie and its surroundings somehow. Hot tub time machine? thanks again. this is so great.

  • Great work.....only quibble is that the music is too loud.

  • You really could of messed this up.....But you did it PERFECTLY! 5 Stars

  • Where can i get the music in that video?

  • Very well done. The only suggestion I would give is make the music a little quieter and perhaps make the whole thing a little shorter. Nice job getting the still scenes of the main actors and the end to synchronize with the music.

  • You'll walk between us saying nothing!

  • Just saw the movie on swedish channel with classic films. Searched on Youtube and this very impressive done trailer in moder form did come up. Well done.

  • quality . . . so well done and so great a film!

  • WOW! Cool!

  • What a wonderful job!!!!

  • Wow..This is probably the best trailer I've ever seen to the most favorite movie of all time..If you don't show this to Hollywood your doing you and Tinsle Town A great disservice..I bow at your feet ..Sir

  • excellent job! absolutely fantastic! what was the background music from?

  • James Mason is great in the movie, too bad there wasn't more of him.

  • Really good. Made the film seem as though it had more depth.

  • is this movie worth 2 buy?

  • The power of marketing.

  • great trailer .

who did it ? very good

    the baest movie ever

  • That's the music from... Signs?

  • Just for realism's sake, there should've been a big explosion at the end... even if there wasn't one in the actual movie.

  • @km9OOO A crop-duster plane flies into a truck & explodes.....Excellent job Mr. H.R.Guy. One of my all-time fave movies, eye-candy for fans of beautiful actors and mid-mod America.

  • This is extremely good.

  • wow, very good trailer

  • i never realized how evil Martin Landau was till i saw this movie.

  • Yeah...not like one of those potato faced "thicknecks" muscleheads-they seem to have all the brains of an ox; but Landau's expression just OOZES evil with than narrow eagle face of his.

  • Nice, but the music is too loud!

  • I believe I know this score?... M.Night Shamamamalon said the hitchcock was one of his influences. great trailer man.

  • Beautiful.

  • WOW...as fine a trailer as I've ever seen. What equipment did you use?

  • Well done.. you have talent.

  • The movie is one of the best ever. Your trailer and your editing surpass even that.......If I ever need a commercial or video presentation made I am contacting you......keep up the good work........

  • One of the greatest trailers I've ever seen.

You would have to have seen NBNW to get it, I 'spose.

  • Wow superb job on the trailer. It may be even better than the orginal trailer and I wouldnt often say something like that :)

  • great job man you really emphasize the thrilling nature of NBNW

  • In 2001, the American Film Institute named North by Northwest the fourth most thrilling movie in American cinema.

Excellent work! Five stars on the trailer.

  • Excellent work. My compliments.

  • Fantastic piece of video for a timeless movie. You should be proud of this work

  • i like it. 5*

  • Great trailer, and the image at the end is wonderful, really sticks in the mind. It was also nice to hear the line about losing the cold war highlighted, that was unusual for the time.

Of course that's all ultimately Hitchcock's doing, but it was very well chosen by the creator of the trailer.

I think it's safe to say that this is a much better trailer than the film's real trailer!

  • Funny to watch the original trailer first & then this one ;) I guess we're living indeed much faster than 50 years ago! If I didn't knew this movie was made in 1959 this trailer made me convince that 'north by northwest' would be in the cinema soon. *sigh - I wish it was, I LOVE this movie*

&It could be, because Hitchcocks movies are timeless (:

  • Excellent work. I always find it interesting to look at the old movie trailers and see how far they've come - even if the movies stand the test of time the trailers certainly don't. One criticism I'd make of modern trailers is too much use of the husky-voiced "One man. One Desire. One this. One that" which is becoming a bit tiresome. Thanks for avoiding it.

  • That was really fantastic. If you don't do this type of thing for a living you probably should.

  • Inspired editting--fantastic.

  • This is defiantly the best fan-made trailer ever

  • Bravo, this was brilliant!

  • damn.... this is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

  • I like the original and this trailer, but it's weird how this makes the film seem more than it really is. Still . . . VERY GOOD!!!

  • Awesome! Every time I see this I want to watch the movie again!

  • Very Nice, and superb editing.

  • This was cut together very nicely. You make the film look very intriguing and if I saw this in today's movie trailers I would certainly go see this film. My only critique is on the sound mixing, but other than that this is excellent! Hitch himself would be very pleased.

  • Yes,I never got the sound to mix quite how i wanted it. I must agree with you there. But thank you so much for the wonderful comments.
